A study on the grinding of ceramic materials
Kresa, Jakub ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on ceramics materials in terms of their partition, properties, structure, manufacture and methods of their possible machining. The first part of this thesis is devoted to the distribution of ceramics materials, their structure, properties, and methods of production. Currently, ceramics materials are increasingly used in structural (engineering) applications therefore we deal with methods of effective machining of ceramic materials, to achieve part of the required shape, dimensions and surface quality. The evaluation of ceramic grinding test from the point of view of cutting forces and surface quality of the machined faces are presented in the last part of the thesis. The tested materials have been provided by company SEEIF Ceramics a.s.
Testing of Chosen Milling Tool for Machining of Hardened Steels
Talaš, Jan ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis studies the testing of a milling tool and the determination of appropriate cutting conditions for machining. The first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical introduction to milling, end mill wear, and coating. It also explains the term high-hardened steel. The next part is practially oriented and involves graphical and numerical evaluation of measured values. The last part deals with the machining economy.
Design of MRZ / Messerringzerspaner blade carrier design
Mecová, Kamila ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is focused on the proposal of a new technological procedure of the blade carrier for use in its own production. Currently, the carrier is manufactured by the German company B.Maier Zerkleinerungstechnik GmbH. The work includes several parts. The first part deals with the component itself, its function and importance, as well as its function in the assembly and the whole machine. In the next part the technological procedure of the blade carrier production is created. Fleet of machines including the necessary tools is also designed. In a separate chapter there is an economic evaluation of the proposed solution in two different variants, a subsequent evaluation and a proposal for implementation.
Machining of hard-to-machine materials
Pátek, Vojtěch ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issues of machining of hard-to-machine materials; specifically steels for power and chemical industries. The theoretical part of the work characterizes various steel types. The practical part deals with the selection process of the best tools for milling of martensitic steels.
Analysis of cutting insert performance when machining of a titanium alloy
Fasora, Jan ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with machinability of titanium alloys, cutting performance and wear of indexable cutting inserts (ICO) when turning. The experimental and very basic part of the work is presented with experiments in several series, where the cutting ability and wear of the selected inserts are assessed. Apart of some other measurements the results are justified with 3D measuring device and a scanning electron microscope analyses.
Technical preparation for the production of label carriers and RFID inlays
Blažek, David ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development and production of end effectors for the transmission of labels and RFID inlays using robots. The first part of it describes the RFID technology, robots and their end effectors, then compares the materials for the design of the end effector and its subsequent production. Then follows the preparation of a practical implementation, where the analyses examining the channels inside the effector are described. Furthermore, this work describes the testing of suction cups, production control by graphical simulation, production of individual prototypes of end effectors and their testing.
On the optimization of suction valve joint strength testing
Attasek, Radek ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the testing and its optimization of the joint suction valve strength. The main intention is an analysis the current state of the pressing process in the department for installations of suction valves at Bosch Diesel, Ltd. Jihlava. Part of the work is focused on the new design of the teswting equipment with an intention to reduce the need of service and reduction of the production tact, with a final discussion and assessment.
Possibilities of SinuTrain Operate 2.6 software in programming of CNC machine tools
Vičar, David ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This masters thesis deals with the possibilities of SinuTrain Operate 2.6 software, used for programming CNC machine tools. The first part of the thesis is devoted to concise treatise on workshop programming in SinuTrain Operate 2.6, the possibilities of ShopTurn system and the issue of difficult to machine materials. The second part is focused on the preparation of technical documentation and design of selected component, which machining can be programmed by using the Sinumerik Operate 2.6 – ShopTurn system and practical verification of NC program by using graphical simulation.
On the modern surface treatment of pressure casting dies
Černý, Štěpán ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the influence of surface treatments due to prolonging life and decreasing an amount of service hours on the die casting molds of aluminium alloys. Theoretical analysis of the problem deals with the requirements for tools materials used for making these moulds. Furthermore it deals with the materials which are most commonly used in their production and the species of aluminium alloys which are most commonly casted. The second part of this thesis, which is discussed in detail, deals with design solution regarding to usage of surface finishes on the moulds for die casting and their specific properties. Another part of this thesis contains experimental tests where was measured selected coating in order to determine its behaviour during the casting cycles with a focus on increasing lifetime of the mould insert, also reducing the amount of glued metal on the walls and finally improving the surface of casted part. It was found, according the analysis results, that the TiAlN coating helped to reduce the amount of glued metal on the mould walls. This also helped to reduce the amount of service intervals. On the other side for achieving much better results is better to use TiB2 coating. It has been experimentally confirmed that the TiAlN coating is not suitable for using in die casting moulds of aluminium alloys.
Modern methods of coating of cutting tools and their application
Kolenič, Michal ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This study is aimed on PVD coatings with focus on one of the more advanced PVD methods – high-power impulse magnetron sputtering (HIPIMS). This study aims to describe mechanical and structural proprieties of multiple types of PVD coatings. Experimental part of this study aims to analyse mechanical proprieties and durability of cutting tools with coatings created using HIPIMS methods. The experimental part of this work results in comparison of cutting moments of cutting tools coated with TiN and TiAlN using HIPIMS and a cutting tool without coating.
