Report on the results of the chemical and mineralogical analysis of the plaster sample from the object: Opočno Castle
Frankeová, Dita ; Bauerová, Pavla ; Slížková, Zuzana
An analysis of historical plaster was carried out using thermal analysis and SEM-EDS analysis. The binders and aggregates of mortars and their surface treatments were characterized. The survey results were used for the design of the repair mortars.

Slížková, Zuzana ; Frankeová, Dita ; Vondráčková, Michaela ; Bauerová, Pavla ; Náhunková, Pavla
An analysis of historical plasters was carried out using thermal analysis and SEM-EDS analysis. The binders and aggregates of mortars and their surface treatments were characterized. The survey results were used for the design of the repair mortars.
Determination of reference parameters for evaluating the strengthening of degraded sandstone masonry of the Cathedral of St. Vit at Prague Castle
Válek, Jan ; Kozlovcev, Petr ; Fialová, Anna ; Slížková, Zuzana ; Kotková, Kristýna ; Svoboda, Milan ; Koudelková, Veronika
Sandstone materials exposed to weather conditions degrade naturally, consequently consolidation of these materials is often required. The aim of this research was to evaluate the impact of four commercials organosilicate consolidants on degraded sandstones, which were used during the neogothic rebuilding of st. Vithus Cathedral at the turn of the 19th to 20th century. The depth of penetration of consolidants into the sandstone porous system and the impact of consolidants on the physical properties of sandstones, namely on the hydrofobicity, water absorption and evaporation, were evaluated primarily. According to the test results, all four consolidants should be suitable for consolidation of sandstones mentioned above even though the results varied slightly between consolidants. For final chose of appropriate consolidant, it is necessary to consider the properties of the treated sandstoned and the technological conditions of the application given by the manufacturer.
Microscopic analysis of materials sampled from the Mánes bridge in Prague
Frankeová, Dita ; Bauerová, Pavla ; Slížková, Zuzana
A microscopic analysis of historical concrete samples was performed within the construction-technical survey framework using a scanning electron microscope and SEM-EDS analysis. Characterization of mortar components, concrete degradation degree determination, and chemical corrosion products identification. The results of the survey work were used as a basis for the reconstruction project.
Characterization of injection material Ledan TA1 for the needs of the preservation of the architectural fragment located under the 3rd courtyard of Prague Castle
Slížková, Zuzana ; Viani, Alberto ; Frankeová, Dita ; Mácová, Petra ; Ševčík, Radek ; Fabeš, Roman
For the purpose of restoring a Romanesque fragment of marl nearby the Old Royal palace, a material survey of the LEDAN TA1 product was carried out. The study aimed to assess the compatibility of this preservative material with historic marl masonry.
Survey of salinity of masonry under III. courtyard at Prague Castle
Slížková, Zuzana ; Ševčík, Radek ; Viani, Alberto ; Mácová, Petra
Archaeological architectural monuments in the area under III. in the courtyard of Prague Castle were monitored in 2021 in terms of the extent of salt efflorescences and their chemical composition. Salt efflorescence on the marlstone walls of the church of St. Bartholomew contain sodium carbonate and bicarbonate, sodium sulfate and calcium sulfate. Sodium nitrate and potassium nitrate were also present in some samples. The aim of the research is to propose measures to mitigate the effect of salts on the degradation of historic masonry.
Chemical and mineralogical analysis of a mortar sampled from the well in the yard of the object Sedláčkova 15, Pilsen.
Frankeová, Dita ; Bauerová, Pavla ; Slížková, Zuzana
The mortar sample was analyzed using a TGA and SEM-EDS analysis as part of the construction and technical survey. The mortars' aggregate and binder components were analyzed, and the binder was identified as a mixture of soil and lime.
Ceiling plaster in the Church of Master Jan Hus in Česká Lípa. Plaster in the Stauss system
Válek, Jan ; Skružná, Olga ; Kozlovcev, Petr ; Slížková, Zuzana ; Frankeová, Dita ; Kotková, Kristýna ; Viani, Alberto
The studied ceiling plasters were sampled the Mistr Jan Hus Church in Česká Lípa. The material consisted of several layers of paint. The aim of this research was to characterize the individual layers of plaster in the Stauss system.
Chemical and microstructural characterization of the artificial stone sample from the sandstone arcade at the Moravský Krumlov Castle
Frankeová, Dita ; Koudelková, Veronika ; Bauerová, Pavla ; Slížková, Zuzana
As part of the construction and technical survey, a microscopic analysis of samples of the artificial stone sample was performed using a scanning electron microscope and SEM ‐ EDS analysis. Characterization of mortars' aggregate and binder components was performed, and the binder was identified as portland cement.
Microscopic characterization of mortar samples from Vinohrady Railway Tunnels
Bauerová, Pavla ; Frankeová, Dita ; Slížková, Zuzana
Within the construction-technical survey framework, a microscopic analysis of historical concrete samples was performed using a scanning electron microscope and SEM-EDS analysis. Characterization of mortar components and identification of chemical corrosion products. The results of the survey work were used as a basis for the reconstruction project.
