Choice of the suitable software from the viewpoint of multi-criteria decision making
Mašátová, Jana ; Kalčevová, Jana (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
In today's world there are many different substitutes for most products and services, increasing the demands on decision-making among substitutes. In order to make a decision, it may be very helpful to use multi-criterial methods for evaluating of the options, which are available to the general public through special programs. Thank to these programs, the general public does not have to be informed in detail about multi-criterial methods and can use the convenience of multi-criteria analysis. The aim of this thesis is to describe and compare the publicly available noncommercial czech software that allows the simplification of choice when choosing from several options according to specified criteria. The thesis work is focused on discrete models of evaluation that are simpler and more suitable for pre-defined alternatives. Non-commercial programs, many of which were created at universities, are evaluated in this thesis. Furthermore, some very well-known evaluation methods, which appear in some programs, are presented.
Usage of graph theory in distribution problem
Libichová, Tereza ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to acquaint a reader with basic history, definitions and methods of a graph theory and also to show a practical usage of those methods. In the first theoretic part there are explained basic concepts of graph theory with additional graph illustrations. Further there are explanations of basic exercises types, such as exercises of optimal cycles, minimal spanning tree and optimal ways. In the second parts there are briefly introduced optimalization systems and with all the details is described a Lingo programme, in which the practical part will be processed. In those practical parts we will apply already clarified optimalization exercises on a real example.
An Application of Travelling Salesman Problem for a Delivery Transportation
Havlová, Irena ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (advisor) ; Kuncová, Martina (referee)
Optimal route or the most suitable configuration finding occurs in different areas of human activities as science, engineering or business. In mathematics these problems are usually assigned to Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP) and its modifications. This thesis is devoted to finding a solution of TSP using a linear model and some simpler heuristics such as Method of the Closest Neighbour. The practical part of the thesis shows usage of TSP for delivery transportation of warranty orders in a part of a wholesale network, including a solution of route divided into more than one cycle. Upon obtained results some financial comparison of the present and potential situation is given.
Application of the Vehicle Routing Problem in Geodesy Jobs
Richtr, Vít ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (advisor) ; Šindelářová, Irena (referee)
The Vehicle Routing Problem -- part of distribution problems in linear programming -- has a lot of real forms and applications. This work dealing with optimization real data afforded by geodetic company. The target is complete effective workweek design of the orders so as to working hours will be efficient and long ways between destinations will be minimized. In the first part of application the work is solve without any limitations. In the second part the condition is add that declare utmost day of orders serve. The setting is solving by two heuristic methods -- the nearest neighbour search and the Clark-Wright algorithm -- and with the aid of optimization systems LINGO and Gurobi. The results of several methods are analyzed and confronted with each other.
The Fastfood Diet Problem
Hyblerová, Zuzana ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
This thesis is based on the theory of mathematical programming, on the fastfood diet problem in particular. The aim is to find an optimal menu with accordance to nutritional limitations for various groups of fastfood customers and with minimal overall prize. This model is applied on the group of foods and beverages offered in selected fastfood chains in the Czech Republic.
The analysis of positions of Volkswagen brand in the market of new cars in Czech Republic.
Vorobev, Vitaly ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The purpose of my thesis is use of various methods of multicriterial evaluation of alternatives in a reality, and particularly the estimation of positions of Volkswagen brand at the market of new cars in Czech Republic and which positions do they take in comparison with other carmakers. The following purpose was to help customers who are going to get to itself the car. The aim was to order cars in each of 10 classes on the basis of results of each method. For my analysis I use methods WSA, TOPSIS and ELECTRE III. For calculations I used MS Excel and program SANNA.
The Solving of Distribution Problems in MS Excel / LINGO
Bisová, Sára ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The goal of this work is to explain the topic of distribution problems, special kind of linear programming problems, and also to show possibilities for solving them in some programming systems. For solving several types of distribution problems - transportation problem, container transportation problem, assignment problem, allocation problem and travelling salesman problem - I have created an application which connects MS Excel with programming language LINGO. This connection is realized by means of VBA - Visual Basic for Applications. There are described the main procedures and functions of LINGO and VBA including minute description of interconnection of these systems. Created application is illustrated on several small problems in the last part of work.
The Comparison of Efficiency of Approximate Methods for Solving Transportation Problem
Zárubová, Radka ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The goal of my work is to analyze difference between optimal solution and solution we get when using approximate methods (i.e. NWCM, LCM, VAM). To get necessary data, I have created an application in VBA (both for generating and solving). The application interacts with LINGO. However, its most important parts are procedures for these approximation methods which can be run separately. Therefore, after explaining necessary theory, I focus on approximation methods and explain every single code for them. The last part of my work is the mentioned comparison. In this part, I analyze difference between optimum and approximate solution for five chosen dimensions of transportation tableau. Last but not least, I study whether there is any dependence of difference on number of constrains.
Practical use of multiple criteria decision making methods to evaluate commercial chains, cheese category, in Czech Republic
Slavík, Vladimír ; Kuncová, Martina (advisor) ; Skočdopolová, Veronika (referee)
The subject of diploma thesis is the evaluation of commercial chains, cheese category, in Czech Republic. The methodology is based on the multicriteria rating of alternatives. In the evaluation of commercial chains may take into account the large number of criteria are used, here are 26, which evaluates 14 alternatives (stores). To evaluate the commercial chains are used preferences of general public and experts. The main objective of the diploma thesis is to determine which store is the best for customers (general public) and for professionals, and then to compare the results.Secondary objective is to explore the possibility of using the multicriteria rating of alternatives methods in praxis.
