Work with Natural Objects in Botany Lessons at Grammar Schools

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na práci s přírodninami v hodinách botaniky na gymnáziu. Teoretická část je věnována roli přírodnin vRVP, konkrétně klíčovým kompetencím, které je možné systematickou prací s přírodninami rozvíjet. Podstatná část se soustřeďuje na přírodniny jako na hlavní didaktický prostředek ve vyučovacím procesu z pohledu hlavních didaktických zásad. Dále je pozornost věnována organizačním formám, které slouží jako podpora práce s přírodninami. V souvislosti s přírodninami a zejména jejich sběrem jsme nezapomněli zmínit záležitosti týkající se ochrany přírody.
The educational trails CHKO Jeseníky and their use in pedagogical practice

This master thesis tries to give the teachers and the students, who are interested in Hruby Jesenik, the information to support their pursuit for the knowledge. It has tendency to expand their knowledge about nature conservation and the attractions, which are situated in their neighborhoods and their region. It summarizes not only theoretic information about CHKO Jeseniky, but also three concrete, educational trails - NS Velka kotlina, NS Ramzova - Cervenohorske sedio and NS Sobotin. The theoretic part is divided by two chapters. The first chapter describes the scenery o f Hruby Jesenik. It is general and includes the available, current information. The didactic summary is in the second chapter. This pedagogical - didactical part comes from primary and high school's RVP. The practical part is an appendix, which leads the schoolmen and group of the students, but not only them, on the educational trails. The appendixes, for the individual trails, include the job sheets for the possible elaborations.
Practical use of the natural trail "Through the valley of the river Labe" in teaching botany and environmental education at lower secondary classes with specialization on invasive plant species

Naučná stezka "Údolím Labe", spojující města Čelákovice a Lysou nad Labem ve středním Polabí, nabízí spoustu možností a způsobů, jak ji efektivně zařadit a využít ve výuce botaniky a environmentální výchovy, což je hlavním úkolem diplomové práce. Teoretická část zahrnuje charakteristiku přírodních podmínek území naučné stezky a jejího okolí, význam, funkci a zařazení přírodovědné vycházky v Rámcových vzdělávacích programech základního vzdělávání. Didaktická část diplomové práce představuje podrobně zpracované metodiky dvou exkurzí, včetně vytvořených námětů pro práci na trasách. Ty byly zpracovány na základě získaných odpovědí z dotazníku, který byl předložen učitelům přírodopisu ZŠ a nižších ročníků víceletých gymnázií v Lysé nad Labem a v Čelákovicích. Jedna exkurze byla částečně ověřena v praxi. Vycházky jsou zaměřeny na poznávání flóry, s důrazem na invazní druhy rostlin, a přírodních poměrů jednotlivých lokalit naučné stezky s vazbou na environmentální výchovu, resp. ochranu přírody. Nápady pro praktické využití rostlin naučné stezky a jejího okolí ve výuce botaniky a environmentální výchovy nabízí učitelům kapitola v závěru diplomové práce.
Ecosystems in science lessons with emphasis on environmental education and training

The subject of the diploma thesis is to familiarize with the ecosystems of the Czech Republic and issues concerning the inclusion of ecology and environmental science in the Framework Educational Programme for Primary Education (RVP ZV), natural history textbooks and in school classes in the 2nd stage of primary schools and lower years of multi-year grammar schools. The theoretical part contains an analysis about the inclusion of ecology and environmental science topics in the RVP ZV and natural history textbooks. At the same time, it details the differences of subject matter systematically arranged and subject matter conceived by ecosystems, and includes an overview of the flora and fauna in selected model ecosystems of a forest, field, meadow, pond, and housing estate. The real situation concerning the method of arrangement of the subject matter in natural history lessons and the overall interest of teachers and pupils in the given topics were investigated by means of questionnaires in a questionnaire survey. Quality of environment air in Prachatice during the time period from 1997 to 2007, application of the environment air problems in education

This dissertation work deals with the issue of environment air from several different points of view. The progression of accuracy of some pollute substances in the environment air in the city Prachatice during the time period from 1997 to 2007 was analyzed, using data obtained from The Czech Hydro-Meteorological Institute from Program Teplice, from the Czech republic's environment's statistical year-books as well as from other specialized professional resources. Marginally this work deals with some pollutants and their influences on the human health. The concentration of pollute matters is rather stagnant with tendency of mild increase. There was accomplished a sociological investigation in March 2009 using standardized interviews, which was focused on an opinion of inhabitants in the city Prachatice considering the air environment in Prachatice during the last 10 years period. Interviewed don't feel negative influences of the air environment in Prachatice on their health and they consider the air environment in Prachatice during the last 10 years getting generally better. Hygienic habits of secondary school students

Name of the diploma work: Hygienic habits of Elementary school pupils and Grammar school students. Presented diploma work is dealing with the personal hygiene of pupils and students in the age of 11 to 19. Goal of this work is to find out and compare hygienic habits of pupils and students in the age of 11 to 19. Research has been carried out by the questionnaire. The research pattern consisted of pupils and students in Czech republic in the age of 11 to 19. Overall number of questioned people was 405. The questionnaire was divided into 5 sections. In the first section were identification data such as gender, age, school. In the next sections were questions related to the washing of hands, mouth hygiene, personal hygiene. In the last section were questions related to finger licking, drinking, food and driveling. Results were plotted into the tables and graphs, and were used to confirm previously proposed hypotheses.
Westland ecosystems of Sokolov regoin and their using in school practise

"The wetland ecosystems of Sokolov region and their using in school practice" The topic of the thesis is to monitor the biodiversity of wetland ecosystems, with a focus on protected species at selected localities of Sokolov region. Localities that were studied - Nadlesí, Stará Ovčárna and pískovna Erika, have been selected with regard to their accessibility for schools. The objective of the thesis was also to propose the possibility of the didactic use of localities for the natural science and biology at primary schools, therefore, for each a site excursion was propose; with a follow up creation of worksheets. The theoretical part contains the definition of the term wetlands, Sokolov region characteristics and it also summarizes the previous inventory research conducted at the given localities. In the practical part, the floristic and zoological inventory is determined along with methodology and didactic applications, i.e. the descriptions of excursions, the real-life testing of the excursions in school practice and the worksheets.
Microbiological project aimed at the adherence to hygienic habits

The presented diploma work deals with microbiological project aimed at the adherence to hygienic habits. The principal aim of this project is to draw attention of primary and secondary school students to the necessity of careful and proper hand washing. Professional aspects of this work serve as a theoretical basis for individual versions of the project. The practical part of the work deals on the one hand with the project itself and its versions for different types of shools and on the other hand with responses to questionaires which results indicated the suitability of this project to be included in teaching.
Proposition of the Nature Trail in the National Park Divoka Sarka including the Didactic Utilization at lower secondary school.

The subject of the rigorous work is the proposition of the nature trail in the national park Divoká Šárka including the didactic utilization in the course of biology lessons at the primary school. The theoretical part contains the description of the territory including the geographic definition and the profile of individual categories of plant, animal and geographical comhonents. Simultaneously there are mentioned the historical relations in the region corresponding to the conterporary appearance of the landscape and that of biological diversities and the manners of the care resulting out of that. The main target of the rigorous work was to create proposals of notice boards for the nature trail that is to be implemented in this national park and its nearby surroundings. Notice boards should serve to increase the knowladge of the poblic concerning this region and simultaneously to guide it to the more responsible conduct in this site. Owing to the accessability by means of public municipal transport the site is suitable for the organization of school educational visits. For that reason there were elaborated working sheets that correspond to the subjects of notice boards of the nature trail, but at the same time i tis possible to use them with minor changes for another site. An Educational Project for a Field Seminar for Grammar Schools based on the Ecology and the Living Environment of Rakovnik

This thesis is supposed to offer all the background to the teachers of biology and ecology of the Grammar Schools in Rakovník for the conducting of a natural historical seminary which most often takes place in the forth grade with a view to ecology of Rakonik and its surroundings. The intention of this seminary is the expansion of now studied subject matter of ecology in the lessons of biology with a great emphasis on the connection of nature and ecology of Rakovník. Considering the fact that there are no publications that examine this problem from the whole the searching for information about Rakovník and its surroundings in different sources and its subsequent utilisation in lessons of biology and ecology was very complicated and troublesome for the teachers. This thesis aims to help the teachers with this problem. It expressively saves labour with the praparation for lessons and not only in above-mentioned seminary but also during the biology lessons in all grades. The connection of interpretation and the examples from the close surroundings can be a great motive to the students. This natural historical seminary also has another targets.
