Folklore traditions of the Prácheň region and their use in music education

This thesis is focused on the folklore of the Prácheň region and what are the possibilities of its use in music lessons, primarily in the first grade of elementary school. The theoretical part focuses on a detailed description of individual elements of Prácheň folklore. For the most part, it is devoted to musical folklore, specifically folk music, bagpipe tradition, dances or folklore traditions such as the konopická tradition, which is gradually falling into oblivion. In addition to musical folklore, it describes traditional dishes or costumes. The practical part is divided into two sections. The first section is devoted to questionnaires. One for pupils from the region of Prácheň, which aims to find out the level of knowledge of Prácheň folklore and the degree of motivation to learn about it further, and the other for teachers, who aims to find out whether and to what extent they pay attention to Prácheň folklore in their classes. The second section of the practical part contains preparations for music education, each of which is dedicated to a topic related to Prácheň folklore. The themes are bagpipes, konopická and Švanda the piper, while many other folklore traditions of the area appear in them. Musical skills advancement on behalf of younger children within musical classes

The diploma thesis deals with the specifics of musical development of younger children and didactic application of musical activities within the music education club. A child of younger age is defined as a child aged from 5 to 8 years. The aim of this thesis is to offer a theme for pedagogical practice, to summarize and verify selected conditions for quality music teaching. The theoretical part summarizes the current knowledge about the psychological and musical development of young children. The focus in musical development is on preschool and younger school age. It also summarises knowledge about musical skills and musical activities, i.e. singing, listening, instrumental and musical movement. This section concludes with a list of selected methodological materials for music teachers. Nine sample scenarios for music teaching are presented, which contain various activity themes and teaching materials for music club work. The scenarios are based on the author's own teaching practice. In the practical part of the thesis the proposed ideas and materials are tested in practice. A cappella singing in vocal groups and its use in music education

The bachelor thesis deals with a cappella singing and its use in vocal groups. The theoretical part of this bachelor defines the terms a cappella, vocal groups and vocal music. Briefly describes the history of development of vocal groups and more closely characterizes the groups that engage in a cappella singing: The Real Group, Pentatonix, 4TET and Skety. This list is concluded by the group My, písnička, of which the author of the bachelor thesis is a member. The practical part of the presented bachelor thesis represents project teaching as a proposal for the application of a cappella themes in the music education process. The result is methodical sheets that use songs of the group My, písnička and serve as a manual for working with a capella repertoire for future and existing teachers. The practical part of the bachelor thesis concludes with a questionnaire survey, which completes the overall picture of the students' orientation in the a cappella theme.
The role and significance of the Central Music of the Army of the Czech Republic in contemporary society

This bachelor thesis examines the activities of the Central Music of the Army of the Czech Republic (CM ACR) which as one of the few military music ensembles in the Czech Republic withstood the gradual reduction of many military ensembles after the coup in 1989. The aim of the thesis is to map the activities of the CM ACR from 2010 to the present. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the composition of the orchestra, with emphasis on the repertoire and the musical production itself. The practical part follows, through a halfstructured interview and the journey of a few selected members of the CM ACR to become full members of this musical ensemble. DIPLOMA THESIS The Bartered Bride and its Use in Music Education at Primary School Petra Prýmková ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with the opera The Bartered Bride by Bedřich Smetana and its pedagogical interpretation in music education at primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of didactic interpretation, which relies heavily on the musical analysis of the chosen opera. The analytical section includes a description of the composer's musical language and a brief introduction to his life. The musical analysis presents the origins, performance, libretto, cast and other historical and social aspects of the opera. The musical analysis focuses on those parts of The Bartered Bride that are essential for the use of the musical work and its didactic interpretation in the music education process. The practical part of the thesis provides a didactic interpretation of selected parts of Smetana's work. A group of primary school students serves as a sample. The outcome of the thesis is a set of didactic materials that can be used as an inspirational source for future and current music teachers at the primary school level. Music and movement education with a focus on dance elements in music education classes at the first stage of primary schools

The thesis deals with the topic of musical movement education when mainly focuses on the use of dance movement elements at music classes at primary stage of elementary school. The thesis aims to summarize whole spectrum of dance movement elements, evaluate their importance for the development of children's musicality and determinate current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes for third to fifth grade of elementary school. Further the thesis evaluates this current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to a progress of musical movement education and dance. It shows potential of use of musical movement education and application of dance movement elements during music classes at primary stage of elementary school. This part also describes a main characteristic of school-aged child and contains a survey of pedagogical literature and literature related to dance education. The practical part of the thesis aims to determinate current state of use of dance movement elements at music classes. Spiritual songs and their influence on Christian education in church kindergartens

The bachelor's thesis deals with sacred music in church kindergartens. The history of preschool institutions and the history of music in church education are mentioned at the beginning of the theoretical part of this thesis. The Czech fiction, which reflects the child's relationship to music in church educational institutions, is also mentioned in this bachelor's thesis. One of the chapters is devoted to general information about contemporary church kindergartens, a subchapter is devoted to the use of spiritual songs in church kindergartens. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the pedagogy of Franz Kett. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to answer research questions that deal with the use of spiritual songs in contemporary church kindergartens, the expansion of the pedagogy of Franz Kett by comparison with the bachelor's thesis of Lucie Drahokoupilová. The research was carried out using a questionnaire survey. The research questions, which are summarized in the last chapter, were answered thanks to the survey.
