Methodology of pentesting in industrial control systems

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a methodology for penetration testing of industrial control systems. This work aims to approach the issue of these systems, which has completely different priorities than information technology systems, and based on these parameters to then design a procedure and rules that should be followed by the subjects participating in the tests. The absence of a methodology for such a specific environment affecting cyberspace and physical space can have catastrophic consequences. The theoretical part deals with basic concepts and terminology important for information and cyber security, operational technologies, and penetration tests. The design then contains a description of the individual steps of the penetration testing methodology for industrial control systems.

Methodology of law firm security

The topic of the master‘s thesis is the creation of methodology and subsequent security of equipment including data protection for a law firm. The thesis contains theoretical background, analysis of the current state of the company, on which the proposed solution is based. The proposed solution includes risk analysis and proposal of appropriate security measures including implementational recommendations for the elimination or minimization of identified risks.

Assessment of the level of cyber risks using the proposed tool

The thesis deals with the issue of information security management system and determination of the current level of cybersecurity maturity and determination of risk areas. The theoretical part contains the basic background and concepts of the whole thesis. The chapter of the current state analysis introduces the organization and describes the current state of its information security management system and risk management. The actual design of the solution is a tool created in MS Excel that allows the organization to determine the current level of risk.

Cybersecurity and incident handling solutions on FBM VUT

The diploma thesis deals with design of cyber security solution in given organisation. The first part describes theoretical basis needed for basic understanding the security question in CZ and in the world. The following chapter then contains analysis outcome of current state of organisation, for which in the third part I compile a suitable framework, including needed tools and procedures, to settle a proper cyber security solution and its sustainability.

This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the current state and the design of security measures within the information security management system at the Faculty of Business, Brno University of Technology. The proposed security measures take into account in particular the requirements set by Act No. 181/2014 Coll. on Cyber Security and on Amendments to Related Acts and Decree No. 82/2018 Coll. on security measures, cyber security incidents, reactive measures, filing requirements in the field of cyber security and data disposal.

Advanced proxy for penetration testing

This master’s thesis focuses on improving the open-source proxy tool for penetration testing of thick clients. The thesis is divided into three main chapters, the first of which is focused on the theoretical background on which the thesis is based. The second chapter describes the analysis of the current state and defines user requirements, which must be met. The third chapter deals with increasing the quality and expanding the functionality based on user requirements. At the same time, a testing methodology is created and a vulnerable application is developed as a teaching material for the methodology. The chapter concludes with a summary of the economic costs and benefits of the application for the penetration testing process.

Implementation of Selected Technology for the Network Trafic Monitoring in Real Environment

The master thesis focuses on the analysis of network traffic monitoring in a selected company and the implementation of selected technology in the real environment. The research is made in the small organization, which does not want to be named and is based in Slovakia. In the theoretical part I deal with basic knowledge - what is information, data and information system. In the practical part, the thesis specifies the company information system - strengths and weaknesses of the organization, risks and proposal of changes to increase the efficiency of work with the company IS.
