Design of a Crash-Test Dummy

The main objective of this thesis is construction of crash test dummy for vehicle-pedestrian crash tests. There is review of nowadays used crash test dummies types in the introduction of this thesis. This is followed by part describing construction itself. Chapter about construction begins by characterizing of used materials features in relation with real human body physiology. Main part of chapter is describing construction of crash test dummy’s skeleton and its individual components including 3D modelling and strength analysis. Thesis is finished by cost assessment.

The bachelor’s thesis, titled ‘Customer satisfaction analysis and recommendation for it´s improvement‘, deals with modern methods of customer satisfaction and service quality analysis. The first part of the thesis contains theoretical background about methods for data collection and analysis, customer satisfaction assessment and data evaluation. The second part, analytical one, is focused on characterisation of DPMB a.s. and investigation of it‘s current situation by questionnaire method. The third part makes use of the collected data and proposes new ways how to improve overall customer satisfaction.

The evaluation methodology operating status of cranes

The main theme of this bachelor's thesis is to design a procedure for the evaluation of the operating status of warehouse and workshop cranes. This methodology was tested in practice. This document also contains an overwiew of the main security risks arising form the poor condition of cranes, as well as an overwiew of places where defects on crane occur most frequently. The annex also contains photographs form the practical part.

Acute stages in nephrology.

Kidneys have got lots of specific functions. Besides the blood pressure regulation, acid base balance and production of hormones (e.g. erythropoetin) kidneys discharge nitrogen substances out of the body. That is why the kidneys are necessary for maintenance of homeostasis. Healthy kiedneys' glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is about 120-130 ml/min. Kidney's failure comes if the GFR decreases under 20 ml/min. The acute renal failure (AFR) comes suddendly and in most cases it is reversible status. In these cases the kidneys are not able to maintain permanent state of inner environment not even of basal conditions . According to the causation the AFR is classified into pre- renal, renal and post-renal. In 5% of hospitalized patients the significant decrease of renal functions was discovered. In 20% of these cases the ARF occured. The heavy form of ARF develops predominantly at the patients with burn injuries and after trauma as a consequence of multiple organ failure (MOF). Presence of ARF increases the chance for dying. In accordance with the statistics of European Society of Nephrology 8% of patients die of single ARF while as compared with MOF it is almost about 70%. The causes of insufficient use of EU funds in Slovakia during the 2007-2013 programming period

The presented thesis The causes of insufficient use of EU funds in Slovakia during the 2007- 2013 programming period addresses a system of utilisation of the EU funds in Slovakia which were provided by the European Union's Cohesion Policy in 2007-2013 programming period. The period is the first Cohesion Policy's programming period that could be fully benefited by Slovakia, and although Slovakia was economically highly evaluated even with regards to the economic crisis, at the end of the period the exceptional prolongation of the n+2 rule was demanded, and eventually approved. Therefore, the aim of the thesis is to find and explore possible causes of the lack of benefit of the EU funds that lead to obtaining the exception. The first part of the thesis analyses the theory of regional policy which provides multiple possible alternative hypotheses that answers to the research question. These potential answers constitute the chapters in the second part of the thesis: the responsibility of the utilisation on the regional level, the problems in settings and functioning of the bodies on national level, the external factors impact, and finally the rules posed by the EU. Corporate social responsibility and its influence on society

Bachelor thesis "Corporate social responsibility and its influence on society" deals with a form of responsibility in corporate behavior and its effect on surrounding world. A lot of new threats have come up these days because of still rising economic growth. That's why the traditional form of responsibility has to be changed. Corporations have started to implement concept of corporate social responsibility to their business strategies focused on wide spectrum of stakeholders. Thesis is based on qualitative research and presents corporate social responsibility itself and its role and position in society from different views of four groups of stakeholders. I chose these groups: corporations with strategic social responsibility, employees from corporations with and without the concept, nonprofit organizations and customers. Thesis deals with experience of the groups with corporate social responsibility, its influence on them and whether the concept is seen more like marketing strategy and PR or nonprofit helping and being responsible. Survey finally discovered educative influence of corporate social responsibility on society and that the groups are developed by the concept. Martina Sedláčková In vitro study of topical use of cidofovir Pharmaceutical faculty in Hradec Králové, Charles University Abstract Cidofovir (CDV), an antiviral drug belonging to the group of acyclic nucleoside phosphonates, is a highly potent drug used for treatment of various infections of viral origin. The low usage of CDV is caused by its price. This work deals with possibilities of increasing the concentration and availability of CDV r in the skin that could lead to lowering of the production costs of the preparations containing this substance. The goal of this work was to study the concentration of CDV in different skin layers after its application on intact and tape striped human skin. The effect of permeation enhancer 6-(dimethylamino)hexanoic acid dodecyl ester was also investigated. Both attitudes were investigated in vitro using modified Franz diffusion cells. Three different concentration of CDV (0.3%, 1% and 3%) were applied on the intact or tape-stripped skin with or without 1% enhancer. In intact skin, the combination of 3% CDV with 1% enhancer provided epidermal CDV concentration of 1115 µg/g, which is 1.45-times higher than without an enhancer. Méně známá zelenina - Cynara scolymus L.

The main target of this bachelor work is describe cultivation technology, significant content substances, present range of varieties and show possibilities of cultivation in Czech republic. Cynara scolymus L., Globe Artichoke, is a perennial thermophilic vegetable belonging to Asteraceae or Compositae family. Its stem grows to a height of two meters and at its end flower buds are created, which have a variety of colours after flowering. For consumers' purposes they are harvested unopened, the other parts of the plant are also used. Its extensive healing effects have been helping human bodies since the ancient times. The origin of an artichoke can be found in the Mediterranean, from where it has gradually spread throughout the world. In the Czech Republic, artichokes aren't grown mainly due to unfavourable climate. Their cultivation requires a lot of care, they like deep, fertile, humus-rich soils. That's why the Europe's biggest growers are Italy, Spain, France and Greece. Currently there are registered many different varieties of artichoke, which differ in size and shape of the flower buds, spinose of bracts or flower colour. Based on the findings of the experiment can be stated, that under the conditions of the Czech Republic, the most appropriate location was south Moravia. Suitable varieties could be ´Green Globe´ and ´Spinoso Sardo´. For verification would be good to continue in the experiment.
