Pre-Amplifier for MEMS Microphone
Ryšavý, Jindřich ; Honzík, Petr (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis discusses the possibility of using MEMS microphones in measuring systems. Describes the characteristics of MEMS components and shows possible realization of analog to digital signal convertor when a microphone with analog output is used. Design of the amplifier is made with respect to low noise and low power consumption. Also is shown the possibility of using antialliasing filter as microphone frequency response correction at the same time.
Acoustic Power Measurement Using Acoustic Intensity Probe
Bílek, Ondřej ; Míča, Ivan (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the problematics of measuring acoustic power using intensity probe by two different methods - scanning method and measuring in points. Values of accustic microphone pressures, collected during the measurement, are going to be processed in MATLAB computing environment.
Digital audio effect based on wavelet transformation
Mikl, Martin ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The Bachelor's thesis deals about problems of digital signal processing. The first part includes function and use of VST Plug-In standard. It describes the history of the VST Plug-In interface, its use in hosting programs, there are a few words about another similar technologies and license terms of use. It is also briefly described the principle of wavelet transform, including some basic mathematical equations. Emphasis is placed on the Discrete-time wavelet transform and Fast wavelet transform. The knowledge of the wavelet transform led into concept of a block diagram with digital audio effect. From this concept has been made digital audio effect in VST Plug-In standart. The final part describes the solution of this effect, including analysis of its component functions. It describes the transmission of the important variables and its controls.
Digital Transducer Array Loudspeakers System
Ležák, Petr ; Káňa, Ladislav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis discusses loudspeakers with a direct D/A conversion, possibilities of their technical solution and construction. It analyses classic conversion of digital signal to analog with D/A converters, amplifiers and loudspeakers and possibilities of its replacement by loudspeakers with a direct D/A conversion. The main part of thesis is devoted to design of a loudspeaker with a direct D/A conversion and a proper exciter for it. The exciter is designed from a block diagram to a specific electric circuit and printed circuit boards. The loudspeaker system is designed as well and the results of its simulations are included in this thesis. The device was constructed and tested. The program which generates digital harmonic signal on parallel port was written and electric and acoustic properties of the device was measured and discussed.
Influence of Disposition of Opera Stage and Orchestra Pit on Theatre Acoustics
Berky, Martin ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This semestral thesis describes messurement of reverberation time, monaural and binaural impluse response Divadlo na Orlí during positioning of sound-source in orchestra pit and on the stage. Theoretical part describes messurement of reverberation time and objectiv criteria of soundfield quality in concert and opera. The practical part describes messurement in Divadlo na Orlí and computations in program Matlab. The thesis compares results in various configuration of theratre hall and describes common advices for operas in Divadlo na Orlí.
Design and Realization of Acoustic Solution for Listening Room
Burda, Jan ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This work is focused on the problem of room acoustics and its analysis options. It describes the basic criteria of acoustic quality space, commonly used materials and acoustic tiles. It also deals with modeling and acoustic analysis of space using EASE. The third part of thesis is a detailed description of the design of acoustic elements based on resonance principle. The last part deals with the measurement of the reverberation time.
Method for Subjective Assessment of Direction of Arrival for Object-Based Audio Systems
Hořák, Pavel ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with issues concerning subjective assessment of direction of arrival. Measuring of electroacoustics and acoustics parameters are evaluated and de- scribed in this thesis; the treatment of these parameters is required. Main output of this work is the vector based panning and its practical usage and evaluation.
Acoustic Signal Recording and Processing Using B-Format Technology
Kurc, David ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the system of recording and processing of acoustics signals called Ambisonics. It describes single sections of this system in the chain of acoustic signal processing. At most it is aimed at the B-format technology as the main ambisonic instrument, its encoding from the signals recorded with the special microphone capsule of the soundfield type or with help of encoding equations and its decoding into single speaker channels of various speaker arrays. The UHJ transmission format is also mentioned. The application B-format Decoder was created in the MATLAB programming environment. It consists of several functions and has friendly user interface, which provides the processing and decoding of B-format components for the speaker array with entered parameters. Among others this interface ensures loading, displaying, analysis and playback of source and resulting acoustic signals.
Simulations of auditory space and azimuth&distance of sound source, for multichannel sound systems
Orlovský, Kristián ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at simulation of auditory space. It describes the most frequently used panning method: Vector Base Amplitude Panning. Also is focused on image source method, which allows computing the parameters of direct sound wave and reflections in rectangular room. This method is compared with ray–tracing method, which is also often used. It deals with the matter of the frequency – dependent absorption of materials in reflection of the sound wave against the wall. On the basis of these information two applications were designed in MATLAB development environment. The first one allows the simulation of auditory space. The other one is the application for sound source panning by its azimuth and distance.
Measurement of Loudspeaker Characteristics in Various Cabinet Types
Konečný, Tomáš ; Pavlíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This work relates to problematics of design of loudspeaker box for laboratory purposes, especially for the option of fast and easy modification of cabinet itself in order to change between closed, open and vented loudspeaker box.
