Strategy to Decrease Rate of Procrastination While Using Methods Improving Awareness and Emotional Self-regulation

This diploma thesis is proposing and evaluating a strategy of human resource management in the field of productivity of intellectual workers and students while using insights from scientific research on procrastination and productivity. The suggested strategy implements especially two methods that were found effective for lowering the rate of procrastination in latest scientific studies – the method of awareness and mindfulness and the method of journaling. This diploma thesis includes design and creation of an educational program consisting of video lessons in the field of time-management, techniques of mindfulness and awareness and the method of journaling. Furthermore, it includes running research with a group of students during an exam period, while all participants record information on using the above mentioned methods for the period of 15 days, while the logged information has combined nature between objective information on performance (data on usage of personal computer, data on the amount of work done and time spent on it) and self-evaluation information (subjective evaluation of daily performance and subjective evaluation of perceived daily happiness). This thesis evaluates the suggested strategy on the research sample of 15 university students and is using the methods of input and output questionnaire, same as analysis of the continuous data logged while journaling from the research participants, to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. The goal is to be able to apply this strategy in the business practice in human resource management. Another possible application is also improvement of study productivity of students using self-management techniques.

This Master’s thesis deals with the issue of customer satisfaction in a retail store. Theoretical part summarizes a literature review needed for practical application which includes an analysis of internal and external environment, followed by own questionnaire survey of customer satisfaction. Last part contains an analysis of survey results and formulation of proposals improving the customer satisfaction including a calculation of financial, time and human resources and risk analysis.

The theoretical part contains an explanation of important terms, which will be the basis for the subsequent analytical part. The theoretical part is followed by an analysis of the current situation in selected company. It will contain a description of the external and internal environment of the company, followed by a questionnaire survey and its evaluation. The last part of the thesis will deal with the actual proposals, where a set of measures will be presented that will lead to increased customer satisfaction.

It specifies the motives and forms of entering the foreign market and defines the individual components of the international marketing mix. It contains a suggestion for a suitable form of entry, elaboration of an international marketing mix of the company and based on a survey of competitive prices of selected products, it recommends choosing a suitable pricing strategy when entering a foreign market.

The thesis focuses on the proposal of an online marketing campaign for a company expanding into the Polish market using growth hacking and the PAVORD marketing framework. The theoretical part is devoted to definition of basic concepts in the areas of online marketing, Facebook Ads Manager and advertising campaign reporting. The analytical part is dedicated to the introduction of the project, analysis of the current state, the marketing mix of the company and research on the correlation and causality of selected metrics on the success of advertising posts. The proposal part presents how to use the collected data for campaign proposal, setting up processes for managing and evaluating ad posts trough the growth hacker app.

Cílem práce je zjistit, jestli je tento produkt vhodný pro daný trh a jestli je tento strategický tah úspěšný. V práci jsou popsány informace důležité k provedení praktické části práce, která obsahuje analýzu trhu i společnosti, která by daný strategický návrh provedla. Práce dále obsahuje souhrn informací, které byly z jednotlivých analýz zjištěny a doporučení, které by společnost měla podstoupit. V poslední řadě je vytvořený stručný finanční plán.

Na základě popsaných analýz a obdržených dat, bakalářská práce prezentuje doporučení pro zlepšení marketingové komunikace se zaměřením na zákazníky Férové Palačinkárny.
