Hydraulic analysis of the supply pipeline to the Kravsko reservoir in Znojmo city
Jaroš, Zdeněk ; Lušovský, Michal (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This thesis provides hydraulic analysis of an existing water supply pipeline from Kasárna reservoir to Kravsko reservoir near Znojmo. The thesis structure is divided into two parts – the first is theoretical, the second part is a practical research. The theoretical part outlines currently used procedures, principles and available software programs. Thesis concentrates on a software called EPANET 2.0 which is also used for hydraulic analysis. In the research part, the thesis offers a description of the chosen site, a field survey followed by the process of assessment and a construction of a hydraulic model by the EPANET 2.0 software. The final part evaluates performed hydraulic analysis and proposes concepts for water supply pipeline renovation.
Implementation of smart water measurement technology into small municipal waterworks environment
Klučka, Tomáš ; Zubíček,, Vojtěch (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes the actual situation of smart water metering, an overview of water meters suitable for remote data reading and individual components for application of remote data transmission including transmission itself. The thesis also contains the characteristics of available wireless data communication technologies and detailed solutions according to two companies specializing in remote transmission of water meter data. Subsequently, the pilot projects of large water company are presented, including practical findings. The practical part deals with the implementation of smart water metering in three specific municipalities, including a description of the area of interest, water supply system specification and possible limitations, the recommended technology, the requirements for putting in into operation and the pricing of technology and services according to two specialized companies. Finally, the possibilities of other using of smart water meter technology are discussed.
Design of the Jemčina sewer network
Voldán, Karel ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to develop a variant solution sewer system in a village Jemčina using separation sewer networks. The first part describes the location of interest. In next parts the thesis deals with proposals for the particular of sewer system. In the following part variants are assessed in terms of investment and operating costs.
Hydraulic roughness of water supply pipes
Náplavová, Eva ; Hofmannová, Lenka (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with hydraulic roughness of water pipelines, its consideration while making a hydraulic model and subsequent calibration of hydraulic simulation model. In the theoretical part literary review about current approach to hydraulic modeling of water mains and its possible future direction is carried out, as well as an overview of used roughness coefficients, computational formulas and possible approaches to calibration of the hydraulic model. In the practical part of the thesis, a matematical model of the supply main of the water mains network of Hvozdná is compiled and is followed by its calibration. The method of weighted least squares is used as an objective function. Optimization methods are used to minimize the value of the objective function and thus to determine the hydraulic roughness of supply main.
Energy consumption analysis of water utilities
Bábíček, Michal ; Raclavský,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
In the first part was an analysis of possible cost-saving measures to reduce energy consumption in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Part of the work analyzing energy savings for water treatment plant Bzenecis divided into three parts. Part one deals with a brief description of the individual technological units. In the second part of the individual technological units analyzed in terms of savings already realized by the operator and also in terms of savings that operators shall submit for consideration and possible implementation. The lastthird part summarizes the findings in the second part of the analysis and alsooutlines possible new solutions that are applicable to all objects of the operator.
Simplified documentation of the sewerage network of the Doubravník
Doušková, Zuzana ; Hluštík, Petr (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
Pasport of sewer system in township Doubravník is aim of this bachelor thesis. It was atudied construction of shaft, depth of tributaries and runoffs of pipeline, presence of sediments and balast water and it was assessed the overall condition of sewer and of an objects connected to it during field research. Summary of shafts according to revision sheets, photo dokumentation, posport and evaluation of technical condition of sewer and creation of broader context site plan, sinoptic site plan, detailed site plan and hydrotechnical site plan of sewer network of township Doubravník it work output.
Analysis of water age in the low pressure sewer network
Kolková, Hana ; Beránek, Josef (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of water age in the low pressure sewer network. I focus more on three major issues caused by the age of water – corrosion, gases in the pipeline, deteriorated water quality. The thesis is also focused on computer programs, that are able to simulate the low pressure sewer network and analyze the age of water in it. The practical part of the thesis is focused on a particular example of low pressure sewer network that consists two sections in the town of Podhradí nad Dyjí. I evaluate the results according to the standarts CSN EN 1671.
Stochastic modeling of water consumption in the water supply network
Kopecký, Josef ; Tureček,, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with stochastic water demand modellling in the water supply network. In the opening section, a research is created, where two different approaches to stochastic modelling of water consumption are presented. The practical part describes the creation of a deterministic hydraulic model and its calibration. Generated stochastic water demand patterns with a small time step of 1 minute, are then inserted into this model. Each household is assigned with a unique water demand pattern. Then a hydraulic analysis was done. A comparison of deterministic and stochastic approaches is presented at the end of the thesis. The comparison shows, that small-time step modelling does not have a big impact on the pressure ratios in the water supply network, but has a huge impact on the maximum flows and speeds occurring in links of the hydraulic model.
House water meters
Zvejška, Tomáš ; Tureček, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is focused to measurement accuracy of House water meters at very low flows. There are some errors during these flows. It´s not known what the values of these errors become, yet. The goal of my thesis is assessment of these errors. Results have been achieved through laboratory measurements.
Precipitation water management in the area of the Brno - Pastviny primary school
Školař, Jan ; Balas, Jan (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the management of rain water in decentralized territory. In the theoretical part, a literature search is made on the possibilities of rain water management and the relevant legislation in The Czech Republic. There are described types of technical solutions for the management of rainwater. In the practical part there is a case study in the area of the Elementary school and Kindergarten Brno - Pastviny for rain water treatment, proposal of underground rainwater tanks with pre-filtration and an automatic irrigation system.
