Corporate Social Responsibility in Supplier-Customer Relationship

The doctoral thesis deals with the concept of corporate social responsibility in supplier-customer relationship. A corporate social responsibility is a current issue related to many areas of the society. The media usually presents the topic in connection with a market behavior or behavior to employees or other subjects or in their relation to environmental issues. Both OSN and EU have been interested in this issue since 1990´s because they perceive the social responsibility as a way to a sustainable development. The crucial thing is that even the companies themselves, which should be the “executor”, started to be interested in its implementation. The thesis analyses the situation on the business market in the Czech Republic in the field of corporate social responsibility issue. Moreover, the thesis investigates the researches of the current state of the theoretical knowledge of the issue for the purpose of the thesis, a large-scale research was carried. The research investigated to what degree the corporate social responsibility influences the supplier-customer relationship. However, above all the research was focused on the existence of the codes of conduct of the suppliers and also the sequence between codes of conduct set by customer to company and codes of conduct set by company to supplier. The third key area of the research was to find out to what degree the corporate social responsibility contributes to the overall evaluation of a supplier by a company. The analysis of the data collected served for the acceptance of rejection of the hypotheses stated at the beginning of the thesis. The results and the findings gained are summed up at the end of the thesis. The practical as well as the theoretical contributions are mentioned as well.

Position of foreign women on the Czech labour market (an example of Ukrainian women)

The diploma thesis deals with the issues of migration of Ukrainian women to the Czech Republic and their position on the Czech labour market. Ukrainian women represent one of the most numerous migration groups in the Czech Republic. The main objective of the thesis is to find out the reasons for the Ukrainian women's migration and to characterize their position and place on the czech labour market. The thesis draws on the theory of dual labor market and the framework mainly consists of the qualitative data collection. Qualitative research was carried out among ten Ukrainian women, with whom a semi-structured interview was conducted. Subsequently, the interviews were evaluated by the content analysis method. The results of the interviews were expected to answer three predetermined research questions. The thesis also contains available quantitative data analysis, especially statistical data on the number of Ukrainian women in Czech and their economic activity. Support for IT projects and IT projects portfolio through social networks analysis.

This doctoral dissertation focuses on the area of IT projects portfolio management and IT projects. Dissertation summarizes development of IT projects portfolio management, its benefits, problems, and integration of IT PPM philosophy into selected widely use methodologies and IT frameworks. Further work summarizes developments and main findings of social networks analysis and relevant findings from psychological and sociological field, team work and process of organization. Also presents results of two surveys, on their basis have been formulated conclusions and recommendations. The main part of the work focuses on design of additional processes for MMDIS ŘIP mainly by use of social networks analysis to support the selection of the appropriate staff to selected positions in an IT project. Furthermore, the proposal presents categorization of IT roles according to selected metrics of social network nodes.

Indikátory pro hodnocení a modelování interakcí mezi životním prostředím‚ ekonomikou a sociálními souvislostmi

Návrh indikátorů vhodných pro průběžné monitorování a hodnocení vazeb mezi životním prostředím, ekonomikou a společností. Projekt je rozdělen na dva segmenty: 1. Lokální úroveň sledování příčin změn v kvalitě životního prostředí, stavu ŽP a důsledků pro ekonomiku a společnost včetně zpětných vazeb. 2. Makro-ekonomické souvislosti ochrany životního prostředí v průběhu transformace české ekonomiky. Zpráva za rok 2010 obsahuje stručné shrnutí dosažených cílů. Na CD-ROMu je uvedena zpráva za spolupříjemce dotace, která se zabývá identifikací a kvantifikací vlivu politiky životního prostředí na inflaci, na strukturu národního hospodářství, na zahraniční obchod vždy s odkazem na publikovaný výsledek projektu.

Aplikace environmentálního účetnictví: Eko-průmysl v České republice

Monografie o eko-průmyslu v ČR, která byla vydaná v rámci řešení projektu, se zabývá současným stavem eko-průmyslu a jeho rozvojem. Environmentálně orientovaný průmysl, označovaný jako eko-průmysl, se stává expandujícím "průmyslovým" odvětvím, které má vliv na sociálně-ekonomický vývoj společnosti. Cílem publikace je přispět k pregnantnějšímu vymezení, k identifikaci jeho úlohy a postavení v národním hospodářství a následnému srovnání postavení eko-průmyslu v ČR se situací v zahraničí. V publikaci je ve stručnosti charakterizován vývoj analytických a prognostických aktivit EU a OECD zaměřených na ekonomickou problematiku eko-průmyslu. Jsou charakterizovány základní metodologické problémy spojené s identifikací a kvantifikací tohoto specifického "odvětví" a problémy spojen s kvantifikací proměnných, které vyjadřují jeho příspěvek k ekonomickému růstu.

Aplikace environmentálního účetnictví

Efektivní management v oblasti ochrany životního prostředí vyžaduje zdokonalení informačního systému v dané oblasti. S tím je neodmyslitelně spojena i potřeba překonání resp. snížení náskoku členských zemí EU v rozvoji systému environmentálního a ekonomického účetnictví (SEEA) na makro a mikroúrovni. Projekt je zaměřen na nejaktuálnější otázky z této oblasti a usiluje o dosažení aktivního zapojení české vědecké veřejnosti do mezinárodní diskuse na dané téma. Záměrem řešitelského týmu je vyhodnotit vývoj a dosažené výsledky v oblasti tvorby a rozvoje environmentálního účetnictví na evropské úrovni i na domácí půdě. Akcent byl kladen na vybrané moduly systému, které se na základě předchozího výzkumu členů řešitelského týmu ukázaly pro podmínky ČR realizovatelné. Výsledky byly prezentovány v rámci mezinárodního semináře "Environmentální účetnictví - Současný stav a vývoj. Výstupem semináře jsou dva sborníky - v české a anglické verzi. Jsou v nich prezentovány výsledky dílčích úkolů v roce 2004.

Indikátory pro hodnocení a modelování interakcí mezi životním prostředím‚ ekonomikou a sociálními souvislostmi

Projekt je rozdělen na dva segmenty: 1. Lokální úroveň sledování příčin změn v kvalitě životního prostředí, stavu ŽP a důsledků pro ekonomiku a společnost včetně zpětných vazeb. 2. Makro-ekonomické souvislosti ochrany životního prostředí v průběhu transformace české ekonomiky. Využití výsledků povede ke zlepšení kvality rozhodovacích procesů jak na lokální úrovni tak na makroúrovni. Výstupy by měly sloužit institucím státní správy odpovědným za ochranu životního prostředí a za tvorbu národní hospodářské politiky. Byly vytvořeny obecně použitelné metodické nástroje - indikátory a doporučení. Byla zkoumána oblast zaměřená na analýzu vztahů mezi ochranou životního prostředí a hospodářským růstem. Cílem bylo předložit určité postupy ke korekci HDP z environmentálního hlediska. Proběhla analýza dopadu environmentální politiky na zaměstnanost v ČR a vyhodnocení vlivu environmentální politiky a jejích nástrojů na celkovou hladinu cen v ČR.
