Intra-individual variability in perception of otherness
Doubková, Nikola ; Preiss, Marek (advisor) ; Riegel, Karel Dobroslav (referee) ; Stuchlíková, Iva (referee)
This dissertation focuses on intra-individual variability in the perception of otherness, specifically on the variability of experienced emotions toward diverse representatives of otherness in relation to attitudes and personality functioning. At the beginning of the thesis, the theoretical background is introduced, especially the concept of otherness. A total of 205 respondents from the general population and the population of people with mental disorders participated in the study. The research was conducted in three phases, and the results are presented in three studies. In the first phase, the semi-structured interview assessing the severity levels of personality functioning (STiP-5.1) was translated into Czech, and its psychometric properties were verified. In the second phase, the association between attitudes toward minorities and the level of personal functioning impairment was examined. The last, third phase focused on the intra-individual variability of experienced emotions (disgust, empathy, anger, compassion, pity, respect) toward different representatives of otherness (e.g., close ones, Romani, migrants, people with mental disorders) and its relation to personality functioning and attitudes, using the experience sampling method. Job satisfaction determinants and their relation to ergonomics in working at a computer
Rychtecký, Antonín ; Štikar, Jiří (advisor) ; Riegel, Karel (referee)
In the present day, computers constitute a pillar as well as an incentive of progressive development in many branches of human activity, or are rapidly advancing into them. The mantocomputer form of interaction is for some people more common and frequent than the mantoman form of interaction, predominant for centuries. On the other hand, the universal use of computers does not prevent the modern man from having to do mechanical, monotonous work at a computer - which when it is not of a creative character can bring with it considerable discomfort, both mental and physical.
Leadership style and job satisfaction
I když vazba spokojenosti například na výkonnost není zcela jednoznačná, zcela jistě souvisí s fluktuací a absentérstvím zaměstnanců, jejichž ekonomický dopad zanedbatelný není.
Coaching and typology of personality
Riethof, Norbert ; Riegel, Karel (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee)
This work describes theoretical background of coaching and it compares coaching with other methods in human resources development areas. The main context is the usage of coaching in corporate organizations. This work also combines coaching methodology with personality type approaches, in this case through the lenses of MB TI. Description of a developmental project implementation for an IT organization in the Czech Republic provides a framework in which coaching is shown as a main component of such a developmental project. It also explores the relationship between theoretically derived developmental needs of individuals and those of empirical origin. In a closing section it provides a view on status of coaching both nowadays and in the future. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
