Alcohol users in low-threshold center

The diploma thesis deals with alcohol users in a low-treshold contact center. It focuses on their characteristics and analysis of their needs. The theoretical part provides a comprehensive picture of the investigated issue, supported by domestic and foreign sources. The empirical part is based on descriptive statistics and qualitative data collection. The main goal of the thesis is to characterize alcohol users in a contact center and to explore their needs. The research group consisted of 16 respondents, of which 12 were clients of the contact center and 4 were employees. For the purposes of the research, the methods of descriptive statistics and semi-structured interview using grounded theory were chosen. The results interpret the answers to the research questions. The research investigation yielded characteristics of 4 categories of contact center clients - alcohol users. The service helps to fulfill needs in terms of personal hygiene, food, but also safety and trust. For some clients, quick availability of services and work while maintaining motivation for treatment is important. Help in the social field is also useful for clients - help with processing social benefits, documents, escorts to offices, help with finding housing, work, etc. The services are very attractive, especially for homeless...
Women with personal disorder and substances use

Introduction: Addictological clients have often comorbid personality disorder. Each disorder has its specifics and gender also has an impact on substance use. So far, there has not been sufficient research focused on female psychoactive substance users with one of the most frequent personality disorders - borderline personality disorder. Objectives: The aim of this research was to describe in detail and explore women with BPD in their twenties in connection with their substance use experience - in particular prevalence, patterns of use, reasons for use and substance use impacts on BPD symptoms. Sample: The sample was collected with the help of self-selection sampling. It consisted of 8 women in the age between 20 and 30, who have been diagnosed with emotionally unstable personality disorder of the borderline type. Methods: A qualitative and exploratory descriptive research in the form of a collective case study was carried out. The data was retrieved with the help of semi-structured interviews, that were recorded on a dictaphone. The data was mostly analyzed by descriptive and partially theoretical content analysis. Low treshold working consulting

The paper deals with less researched topic of job related (re)integration of unstabilized drug users. It is a comparative study of two emplyoment agencies - the Prague based PSA SANANIM and Wiena based WBB. Case studies derived from these agencies are compared through the scope of provided social services, methodology of work and other factors that are part of the functioning process of the agencies. The study takes into account different conditions in which the above mentioned agencies operate, specificaly: active policy of employment and setting the national drug policy priorities of the Czech Republic and Austria. Research data are based on research papers and specialized texts in Czech and German languages, statistical bulletins, lessons learned during internship conducted abroad, case histories and dekurses of clients PSA. Conclusions serve to improve methodology of emplyoment consultancy for unstabilized clients. It also detects factors that are so far limiting.
Trauma in Childhood among women using addictive substances

This bachelor work deals with the relations between traumatic experiences in childhood, deficient or dysfunctional family environment and the possible future development of addictive behaviors in women. It turns out that the experience of traumatic events in childhood can cause long-term and sometimes irreversible problem completely. These problems may be based on the circumstances involved in the future addictive behaviors. Based on the stories I have from women in residential treatment or after treatment heard with their consent and also due to the processing of information which I received, I find role in their next life and behavior should or could have this traumatic experience in their childhood.
The Ritual at Successful Completion of Addiction Treatment in Therapeutic Community from the Perspective of Client

The aim of the work is to describe (using the observation) the rite after successfull finishing of the treatment of drug addiction in a therapeutic community and to find out how the client, who has finished the treatment this way, perceives this rite. The work directs particularly at what emotions he has experienced, if and how he has sensed his surroundings and the rite subjects used during the rite. The rites could be characterized as the ceremonial acts which have their rules and meaning. They satisfy needs of emotional experiences and the spirituality of the individual, they are connected to traditions of a specific community and the give to the individual a possibility to identify himself to the community.The therapeutic community uses a plentiful amount of rites, particularly because of the motives mentioned above. The research assemblage is formed by the client of the therapeutic community for drug addicted, who has finished the rite for the succesful finishing of his treatment. In the practical part was used the qualitative approach, collecting of the data was accomplished from of the semi-structured interview and the data were assessed afterwards by the form of the analysis of the interview.
