Sílová, Soňa ; Filipi, Pavel (advisor) ; Rejchrtová, Noemi (referee)
This thesis concerns with Tereza Nováková's view on the protestant movement in the region of Eastern Bohemia. Teréza Nováková (born 1853, died 1912) was a Czech realist writer, who had moved to Eastern Bohemia from Prague and started to write about rural way of life. She noticed complicated relationships between Catholics and Evangelicals and this became her main theme. She wrote not only fiction, but she collected ethnographical records as well. The aim of this thesis is to consider Nováková's works as possibly important source of studies about relationship between both the denominations by means of her unpublished documents saved in archives. The time period concerned stretches from 1720 to 1912 with the emphasis on the last two decades of the 19th century and the first decade of the 20th century. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Reformation, Counterreformation and Development of After the Reformation Catholicism in Uherský Brod - the Christian Faith in Changing Times
Zemek, Petr ; Rejchrtová, Noemi (advisor) ; Válka, Josef (referee) ; Pojsl, Miloslav (referee)
The study presents an attempt to depict the character of changes in life, thought and feelings of inhabitants of the town of Uherský Brod as Christians throughout 16th - 17th centuries. Its aim is to deepen the understanding of the internal and external factors forming the specific local religiosity in the context of the enormous transformation of the Church at the end of the Middle-Ages and the Early Modern Period. Rather a small social segment has been selected in order to allow carrying out a study on individuals and their behaviour. In Uherský Brod, several substantial changes in confession conditions have taken place in the course of history. In terms of later development, the most important one was the restoration fo Catholicism after the Battle of White Mountain, which permanently affected the religious conditions of the town and the entire region. Based od the source material preserved, the author attempts to get an insight into the people who were actively or passively participating in these processes in order to contribute to a better understanding of the cultural development in the Early Modern Period, with special focus on this region. The Concept of Baptism by Jan Bechyňka in the Traktát o viděních a pokušeních zbožného mládence (Tractate of Visions and Temptations of Devout Youth) and in the Treatise O křtu zvonu (On baptism of the Bell).
Beranová, Bohumila ; Rejchrtová, Noemi (advisor) ; Halama, Ota (referee)
The thesis deals with conception of baptism by utraquist priest Jan Bechyňka. At first the figure of the peculiar writer and theologian after being introduced is integrated into historical connections of the jagellonian era. The chapters that follow aim at the particular topic. Bechyňka ́s view of pedobaptism drawn from a long passage about commitment of baptism from his Traktát o viděních a pokušeních zbožného mládence [The Tractate on Visions and Temptations of Devout Youth] is compared with pedobaptism in Chelčický ́s Zprávy o svátostech [Reports of Sacraments] and with baptism in general of another Chečický ́s work - Rozpravy [Disccusions] in Parisian manuscript. At first I had intended finding out paralles between mentioned thinkers, however certain differences have appeared as well, not in essential facts. In the case of Bechyňka ́s tractate O křtu zvonu [On Baptism of the Bell] I give an interpretation to it in the concrete. The last chapter deals with utraquist baptismal praxis in the early modern times and in the present day and in general describes baptismal rites of these times. As a apendix I add Bechyňka ́s tractate O křtu zvonu [On Baptism of the Bell] with a commentary and transcriptional notes. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
