Master’s thesis is focused on financial controlling which is necessary to keep the liquidity of a company. Firstly, the Master’s thesis presents the theoretical base of the controlling in general. Secondly, the thesis describes on tasks and tools of the financial controlling. Then, financial and controlling analyzes, which were made in the Prvni brnenska strojirna, a.s., are used for the assessment and the suggestions for improvements of the company.

Solvency Management of the Company

The thesis deals with the management of the solvency in the company MFC-MORFICO s. r. o. are Found through the analysis of individual components of working capital weak spots to improve and streamline its management, attention is paid to the evaluation of the processes intervening in obratového cycle of money, analysis of working capital as a whole and compared with the two largest competitors of the company in the field was designed, appropriate measures and recommendations which should in the future bring higher efficiency in working capital management, the subsequent savings and increase the value of the company.

Business Valuation

The thesis is focused on determining the value of the ABC, s.r.o. company by using income-based methods at 1.3.2015. The first part is dedicated to theoretical basis. The second part deals with the analysis of the current state of the company, which includes strategic and financial analysis, formulating of financial plan and established valuation of the company. At the close of this thesis are summarized the results and there are suggested recommendations for future decisions of management, too.

This diploma thesis deals with evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of cash pooling. The aim of the thesis is to assess profitability of the cash management methods and eventual benefits of involvement of branches of surveyed company in the Group cash pooling. The theoretical part analyzes basic concepts of cash pooling, analytical part contains presentation of the company. Draft part assesses suitability of pooling cash and the feasibility of introducing cash pooling in other branches.

The diploma thesis focuses on the economic evaluation of the company acquisition project using methods of discounted cash flow, net present value and discounted payback period. The theoretical part of the thesis uses comprehensive view on modern methods of strategic and financial analysis, financial planning strategy and investment decision-making methods. The second half of the work contains practical part of strategic and financial analysis, calculated cost of equity, weighted average cost of capital and economic evaluation of the acquisition project itself.

This diploma thesis is focus on business valuation by using income - based valuation methods. The theoretical part comprises the fundamentals of valuation theory. Furthermore the strategic and financial analysis is done. The practical part includes the analysis and forecast of value drivers, financial plan and the valuation itself. The valuation is based on Discounted Cash flow method and Economic Value added method. In conclusion the statement about the value of the company at 31.12.2013 is reported.

Bankruptcy prediction modelling in the environment of V4 countries

This diploma thesis is focused on the construction of a new bankruptcy model designed for small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction industry in the environment of the Visegrad Four countries. The first part of the thesis is focused on defining the concepts of bankruptcy, bankruptcy model and their placement in the historical context, followed by a description of selected bankruptcy models, a brief description of the construction industry and an analysis of constuction sector. In the practical part, the reliability of selected bankruptcy models is tested and then a new bankruptcy model is constructed.
