Use of information sources specialized on options of education and professional career

This bachelor thesis is concerned with longlife education and learning issue and information sources relevant with that. In theoretical part reasons for importance of education and following further education for modern human are examined, importance of impact of its social surroundings on its development in continuity with choice of his future profession. Further it is consulting process along with its phases, options of education for adults and trends in a sphere of specialized education and importance of motivation and aspiration trials of individual. In practical part individual information sources are analyzed with its consecutive ratings. Outcome of this work should be systematical whole of individual information sources, which can serve as a tool for counselors (in schools, employment offices o in any other institution concerned with education), which work with clients in sphere of specialized counseling and education.
Grammy Awards and winners of jazz music

This thesis focuses on the categorization of music and valuation of popular music through Grammy Awards. More specifically, the thesis focuses on the categorization of jazz music and appreciation of jazz music. The text contains a detailed analysis of selected award-winning instrumental jazz albums, history and development of the genre of jazz and its influence on popular music from. In the last chapter of the thesis concerns the difference between the American and European jazz and also contains a detailed list of awarded jazz instrumental album.
WORK OF ERWIN SCHULHOFF INFLUENCED BY JAZZ

The masters thesis focuses on the work of Erwin Schulhoff influenced by jazz and contemporary popular music, describing all of his works since 1914 until his death. The author studied all of the available work, including autographs. He presents results of his research with plenty of sheet music illustration, interpreting each composition in the context of Czech and international music. In the last chapters he introduces his own transformations of Schullhofs composition.

This thesis covers the personality of Ahmad Jamal, jazz pianist, who in fifties set the fundaments of modern jazz especially in the field of jazz trio by his original minimal style and unconventional approach to arrangements. Among others Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderley or Keith Jarret was deeply influenced by his work. By making transcriptions and analysis of three pieces form legendary album Live at The Pershing: But Not For Me from 1958, author aims to get reader acquainted with Jamal's style of playing, his compositional and arranging techniques within piano trio and to define elements which made his work essential for later development in this field.
THE HISTORY OF THE CZECH JAZZ PIANO

The bachelor thesis illustrates the oldest period of jazz in Bohemia with a detailled description of work, life and recordings of the Czech jazz piano players until 1968. The whole period is divided into five parts describing situation in music generally, mentioning important bands and performers, and finally confronts Czech piano players with world jazz music. Everything is documented with analysis of recordings and different piano styles.
