Impacts of Crisis in Civil Engineering on Production Field of Building Materials

This bachelor thesis deals with the crisis of the building sector in the Czech Republic. It describes its environment, how it functions and the subjects which operate in the building industries. The second part of the thesis looks at the world economical crisis, its origin, its course and main of all it describes how it impacts the building industries. As the coefficients of development in the building sector are used building production, the number of issued building permits or the orientational value of buildings. It will be more closely looked at the environment of the building material production together with a particular company which is operating in this field. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the crisis influenced the society and the whole building sector and if the development during the crisis corresponds to it or if it goes the opposite way.

Analysis of small municipalities management in connection with the use of subsidies

The field of this Master thesis is economy of small municipalities and its analysis with regards to subsidies exploitation. The goal is the analysis of subsidies exploitation by small municipalities (size < 2000 inhabitants) within the Jihlava district, investigation of its successfulness and financial condition. National public expenditures policies, EU expenditures policies, municipalities budgeting system and financial analysis has been introduced in the theoretical background. As was mentioned earlier, the research sample includes 116 municipalities located in Jihlava district. Respondents were especially mayors or councils (staff) who are acknowledged in budgeting and subsidies obtaining at the same time. The research used Mixed Methods that means quantitative and qualitative approach together. According to research design were methods used as a sequential explanatory research design (QUAN -- qual). Data used for quantitative part was gained from public databases and questionnaire distributed to the mentioned municipalities. The qualitative part included interviews with selected mayors and has brought deeper knowledge and explained particular topics. Statistical analyses were used for testing correlation between financial condition, subsidies exploitation successfulness and perceived satisfaction. Results brought interesting knowledge that with increasing count of municipality inhabitants decrease financial condition. On the other side, the financial condition is independent on exploitation subsidies successfulness but the perceived satisfaction dependent is. Interesting also is that the best results in financial condition have the municipalities which aren't satisfied with subsidies exploitation or have exploit neither.

Management of Contributory Organizations Established by Municipalities

This dissertation considers the economic management of organizations funded by Sezimovo Ústí Town Council in the period from 2009 to 2013, namely the nursery school in Lipová Street and the Centre for Culture and Sport. Basic terms required for completing the practical part are defined in the theoretical-methodological part. These terms are associated with non-profit organizations and the economic management and accountancy of budget-funded organisations. The dissertation will provide an analysis of the economic management of the chosen budget-funded organisations, investigating their dependence on council funding and suggesting ways to improve economic efficiency. Professional publications and legal directives concerning this issue have been used as a basis for the theoretical-methodological part. The practical part is supported by secondary data, mainly in the form of accounting reports gained from the chosen budget-funded organisations.

This bachelor thesis deals with the economic analysis of the town Suchdol nad Lužnicí. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The basic terms associated with the town and its economy are defined in the theoretical part. The practical part concisely characterizes the town, analyzes its budgets through the years from 2008 to 2012 and the financial outlook for the years 2012 and 2013. It also examines the town economy from the local residents' point of view based on a survey.

Evaluation of the project Modernization and extension of the swimming pool in Jindřichův Hradec

The thesis is dealing with issues of public expenditures. In the very beginning, it defines self-government, mostly local self-government. Definition of public contract and public project follows. This bachelor's thesis does not owe even precise defining of types of public contracts. The main part of whole paper is evaluation of mentioned contracts and projects. In that section of the paper are described economic methods of evaluation, further more it clarifies evaluation prescribed by law. Further the paper introduces practical evaluation of a specific project based on economic monocriterial method exactly by Cost benefit analysis. In the end the thesis deals with evaluation of public satisfaction with mentioned public project

Financial Literacy in Primary Schools in the Vysočina Region

The main kontent of my bachelor thesis is financial knowledge of pupils at basic schools in Vysočina region. The main objective is to explain the system of education at basic school in Czech Republic. Theoretical part describes the system of education, system of reaching financial knowledge an educational programmes at basic schools. There is also a list of institution, which take part in the proces of improving a financial skills. The analytical part contains a results of answersheet research at basic schools. Thanks to the results, we can make a comparison of different wals of financial education.

Budget Analysis of Štěpánovice

This bachelor thesis deals with Stepanovice community budget analysis during 2009 to 2012. The major goal is evaluate its economic efficiency and to find out the cause of particular budget changes, community property and source of covering. Eventually suggest the solution, which would eliminate potential defect. Thesis is divided into two parts. The first part defines terms, which will be used. The second part applies knowledge gained in the first part. The second part contains current information about the community and its property, revenue and costs analysis and basic indicators of financial analysis. At the end I summed up the financial situation. For the purpose of the thesis I used budgets and balance sheet from 2009 to 2012.

Analysis of the City Management of Planá nad Lužnicí

The Bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of managing the town of Planá nad Lužnice in years 2008 -- 2012. The objective of this work is to evaluate the management of the town in the stated period and to find out the cause of changes of the particular budget items. Evaluation of the investment town activities forms a part of the work. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical and methodological one and the following practical part. The first part deals with the theoretical matters concerning the basic concepts in the sphere of the municipality and its budget such as budgetary process, structure and obviously budget incomes and expenses. It is necessary to involve the theoretical definition of the municipality management analysis and its methods. The second practical part is focussed on the use of the theoretical knowledge in practice. It deals with the basic information on the town of Planá nad Lužnice, with the analysis of the approved, adjusted and real budgets in the course of years 2008 -- 2012 and with the analysis of incomes and expenses. Furthermore, it deals with calculations of the basic indicators of the financial analysis on the basis of which there is generally evaluated the town management. The end of the work describes analysis of the selected investment action of the town of Planá nad Lužnice.

Situation of local fees and property tax in municipal budgets of the Czech Republic

The main contribution of this thesis is an evaluation of the situation of particular local fees and property tax in municipal budgets of the Czech Republic. First, the thesis deals with evaluation of tax autonomy of Czech municipalities within international comparison and then it focuses on question how much municipalities use their tax competence. Therefore, municipalities are divided into size categories such as 0 -- 500, 501 -- 2 000, 2001 -- 5 000, 5001 -- 10 000, 10 001 -- 20 000 and 20 001 -- 50 000 inhabitants. One of the conclusion of my thesis is finding the high measure of aversion of particular municipalities with respect to the local taxation. Thus, municipalities are not willing to increase their responsibility for tax revenue not from the perspective of economic reason but primarily because of political reason. Elected representatives of municipalities have the feeling that the expansion of their tax competence is in conflict with the aim of their re-election. Therefore, these elected representatives insist on the central level responsibility for taxation and administrative security of tax administration. This attitude might be observed across all observed size categories of municipalities. The methodology for this thesis is going to be a questionnaire survey when for this purpose mayors of randomly selected municipalities have been joined, then the analysis of selected tax revenues and the following comparison of data among particular size categories of municipalities.
