Analysis of Drivers' Responses to Complex Stimuli
Kaplánek, Aleš ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Němejc, Jiří (referee) ; Kolíbal, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper deals with the preparation, implementation, and basic assessment of the motorists’ response times to simple optical and complex – other than optical - stimuli. Driving tests conducted partly under regular traffic conditions and partly on a test track are completed with findings on how drivers react when they use their phones during driving. Knowledge of the actual technically achievable reaction time is necessary in performing analyses and consequent assessments of the causes and developments of road traffic accidents.
Analysis of Critical Places of Road and Railway Transport Intersections in the Southmoravian Region
Chlup, Daniel ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Libertín, Josef (advisor)
Point of this diploma thesis is analyzing of three railroad crossing controlled by institutions of South-Moravian region, which are chosen by author. For analysis were chosen problematic railroad crossing where happened in last five years traffic accidents with consequences of death. Next criterion of choosing was type of security device. Chosen railroads crossing are representing all types of normally used security devices. That is why was chose railroad crossing with only warning crosses, light security device and last one with light security device with barrier beam. Theoretical part aims on: Basic parameters, dividing, numbering, system of function and marking of railroad crossing. In practical part, there are used mathematical calculations for assessment of safety on chosen railroad crossing and for determination of possibilities of averting a collision of both participants. Corrective measures are made for each railroad crossing taking to account it’s financial conditions. For each railroad crossing is made polygon with help of program Virtual Crash 3.
Study course of refractoriness corrosion processes by vanadium basic melt at high temperature
Vršecký, Michal ; Frank, Vítězslav (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (advisor)
In this diploma thesis was analysed layer of corroded material created on refractory lining of reactors for mazut gasification. Samples of corroded material were analysed for SiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, Fe2O3 a TiO2. Corroded material was further analysed by x-ray and IR spectroscopy to acquire more precise data about chemical composition. This thesis studies the exact effect of microstructure on static corrosion kinetics in system SiO2-Al2O3.
Possibilities of using recycled brick in binders systems with p-clinker content
Tušla, Václav ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the preparation binder systems based on Portland clinker and recycled brick. Recycled brick is considered a waste material from construction or production of brick products. This thesis uses finely grounded brick recycled and brick dust, which is produced during final processing of burnt bricks. By incorporating brick dust in alternative system based on Portland clinker could bring ecological and economic benefits. This diploma thesis deals with option using brick dust as pozzolan admixture to Portland clinker, with the aim to prepare and test Portland cement, which is defined in v ČSN EN 197-1. This thesis also deals with possibility preparation of alternative binders based on p-clinker, but those not defined by ČSN EN 197-1. Specifically these are ternary binders with fluid bed ash and binders based on hybrid cements containing sodium sulfate.
Possibilities of the hydrometallurgical process for the recovery of light metals
Skalík, Martin ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the assembly of individual stages of the hydrometallurgical process for recovery of lithium, magnesium and aluminum from mica. The main focus was the primary process of hydrometallurgy, i.e. leaching of mica in order to obtain an leachate enriched with lithium, magnesium and aluminum ions. The concentration of metal ions in the leachate was assessed by F-AAS analysis to determine efficiency of the temperature while leaching, leaching time, leaching agent concentration and calcitantion of the input mica.
Polymer-cement composites for refractory aplications
Zbončák, Marek ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Šoukal, František (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with preparation of high-strength polymer-cement composites based on the calcium aluminate cement and polyvinylalcohol. MDF composites are interesting because of their mechanical properties which exceed strengths of the common materials based on the cement and inorganic binders. So they represent perspective kind of material which could be used for construction purposes. Thermal degradation of the polymer leads to structure changes of the composite and reduction of mechanical properties. Therefore thesis is aimed to characterize the influence of the temperature on mechanical properties, structural changes and material composition. Temperature dependence of flexural strength was examined during the work. Changes of composition and structure were characterized by XRD, DTA-TGA in combination with EGA, SEM and EDS analyses. Due to requirement of the material refractoriness there were also tested options of preparation of MDF composites based on phosphates binders which are used in refractory manufacture.
Increasing the whiteness of kaoline
Bartošík, Jan ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Šoukal, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of increasing the whiteness index of kaolin raw material. The research was focused on floating the kaolin suspension and the subsequent processes related to increasing the whiteness index. Increasing the whiteness of the kaolin raw material took place on the basis of acid leaching. The eluents were based on sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, oxalic acid and sodium bisulfite. The leaching process was influenced by the temperature and concentration of the leaching agent. Floated and leached kaolin samples were characterized by several methods. The XRD method investigated the mineralogical composition and the kaolinite structure order. The distribution of chromogenic components was monitored by SEM-EDS. Residues of organic matter was determined by COD test and the concentration of chromogenic components in the extract was monitored by the ICP-OES method. Last but not least, the index of whiteness was measured, the increase of which is the aim of the diploma thesis, using a UV-VIS spectrometer with reflective extension.
Mechanism and kinetics of gas-solid carbonation of portlandite
Valach, Jakub ; Švec, Jiří (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (advisor)
The main goal of this work, is study of kinetics and mechanism of gas-solid carbonation of portlandit. The introduction part of the thesis acquaints the reader with basic theoretical information about the study of kinetics, mechanism and the analyses themselves. In the experimental part, the reader is acquainted with the methods and procedures used to evaluate the kinetics and mechanism. The last chapter interprets the results of the study, with discusion about results and analysis of the used sample.
