This thesis focuses on the topic of online book market and its specifications, predominantly from the practical point of view of marketing strategies. The first part describes properties and structure of the online book market, identifies market participants and outlines possible typology of bookstores.The second part focuses on search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility, usability and online marketing with practical examples and proposals for online booksellers. The last part compares bookselling online with bookselling in stores.

Medieval Glass in Prague

This work considers finds of medieval glass in the historic centre of Prague on the basis of archaeological material from the National Herritage Institute excavations. Besides the typology of glass vessels, special attention is paid to the concerning the social level of the society of that time, resp. the study of glass imports that can inform us of the commercial or cultural contacts of the given locality. Especially the enameled glass play an important role in studies of the extraordinary social and economic status. The archaeological evidences of medieval glass has been found in Prague since the end of the 19 th century. The end of the sixtieths brought large finds of medieval glass fragments which most has not been studied as yet. Some of them are included into this work, which is aimed at the region of Old and New Town, whereas the finds of Prague Castle has been left aside. In the study of the popularity of glass tableware, it is possible to observe the process well documented in the majority of Czech towns. In Prague glass ware fragments appeared quite early, already in the 12th century and also in the following century glass presented luxury ware intended for the highest social level. The settlement of Bylany culture in the region of Prague

Cílem mé bakalářské práce je shrnout dosavadní poznatky o charakteru a rozložení sídlišť bylanské kultury na území Prahy a vypracovat katalog lokalit zkoumaných po roce 1987 (resp. 1986). Časově se jedná o úsek necelých dvaceti let, které uplynuly od vydání kandidátské práce M. Fridrichové pod názvem Bylanská kultura ve středních Čechách. Vývoj osídlení. Úvodní část práce se snaží stručně zmapovat současné poznatky o charakteru bylanského osídlení na území Prahy, včetně přehledu dějin bádání. V souvislosti s materiálovou částí práce bylo nutné nastínit chronologii bylanské sídlištní keramiky, kterou na základě typologických skupin vypracovala. Fridrichová. Mým úkolem bylo předložit katalog nově prozkoumaných sídlištních lokalit bylanské kultury na území Prahy a v souvislosti s tím zpracovat sídlištní nálezy z nových výzkumů Muzea hlavního města Prahy, které mi laskavě zapůjčil Mgr. M. Kostka. Během zpracování bylo nutné přistoupit ke kritice pramenů a přehodnotit datování některých nových lokalit. Tímto se katalog rozšířil i o nálezy pozdně halštatské, což umožnilo v některých případech sledovat kontinuitu vývoje.

Czech Cultural Diplomacy in Austria - in Practice of Czech Centres

Mutual enrichment of states by sharing their unique cultures is a priceless means of connecting and maintaining friendly relationships between states and across the international community, which is at the same time the main task of cultural diplomacy. This principal tool of Czech cultural diplomacy is used throughout the network of Czech Centers. The aim of this thesis is to define and provide an evaluation of Czech cultural diplomacy in the context of Czech-Austrian cultural relations. In this thesis, current cultural bonds between both of the states are examined. Furthermore, the core of this thesis is focused on the Czech Center in Vienna, its organization, initiatives, operations and contemporary activities.
