Use of optical fiber as a temperature sensor
Procházka, Jakub ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on use of polarization mode dispersion for measurement of temperature. It also deals with representation of polarization mode dispersion in Poincaré sphere and a mathematical description of polarization mode dispersion by using Stokes and Jones vectors. Here are described basic alternatives of settings, selected temperature relationships and dependence and relationship between coherency and polarization. The practical portion of the diploma thesis examines behavior of the temperature sensor at different temperatures for wavelength 1550 nm and 633 nm.
Industry 4.0 for Production Machines
Procházka, Jakub ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
The task of this bachelor thesis is to explain the vision of the concept Industry 4.0 in the area of production machines. First part is dedicated to summarize national initiatives in the world which are reacting to the changing conditions of nowadays industry. In this part are also explained basic principles and technologies which allow to make the vision possible. The second part is dedicated to design a workcell with implemented solutions of the concept. This workcell includes CNC machine tools, industrial robots and the control station. There are also summarized benefits of implementing described technologies and obstacles which are standing in the way of achieving the goals of the vision.
Automation of production machine operation and robotic deburring within external pneumatic tools
Procházka, Jakub ; Kubela, Tomáš (referee) ; Pochylý, Aleš (advisor)
The task of this master thesis is to design a robotic workcell for an automation of the production machine operation followed by robotic deburring of the parts within external pneumatic tools. There is chosen the most suitable concept of the workplace layout of its included sub-components based on the input parameters. The first part is dedicated to design or select sub-components of the workcell as input magazine, robots, end effectors, deburring station etc. Afterwards, there is created a simulation model of the workcell in Process Simulate software for the verification of demanded cycle times and workcell functionality. The final design has to meet safety standards and technical and economical evaluation is permormed at the end of the thesis.
Measurement of the optical fiber
Procházka, Jakub ; Dostál, Otto (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with measurement methods of optical fiber. In the thesis, methods for measurements of attenuation, chromatical dispersion, and polarization mode dispersion are discussed. The thesis also deals with methods for measurement of attenuation of passive components and their reflections loss. Also discussed are parameters of selected types of optical fibers, basic findings about optical transmission and principle of wave multiplexing. The practical portion of the thesis deals with measurement of a new optical polygon in the Academic Optical Network in Brno.

Marketing plannig in construction company
Procházka, Jakub ; Kopřiva, Martin (referee) ; Dohnal, Radek (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to create a marketing plan for a building company in 2012. The theoretical part is devoted to the description the building market, strategy and marketing strategy, situational analysis and its tools. There are basic concepts explained, each division and structure. In the practical part describes the company and its activities. The marketing situation analysis, describes the current situation in which the business is located and the influences that act on it. Each analysis is the basis for creating a marketing plan for the company Klima-Brno in 2012. The marketing plan defined objectives. The chosen strategy is elaborated in action programs, by which should be complied with that goal. The conclusion is given control system and the possible risks that may impede the achievement of the marketing plan.
Education in Kolín Area during the Normalization Period
Procházka, Jakub ; Fapšo, Marek (advisor) ; Randák, Jan (referee)
The aim of the thesis will be to analyze the change in conditions at primary schools in Kolín during the normalization period. The research will focus mainly on the history of everyday life in several schools and common problems that the pedagogical environment at that time had to deal with. To accomplish the goal, it uses a range of historiographical, heuristic and methodological procedures. It will assign a smaller role to oral history methods such as interviews and questionnaires. It will be aware of the complications arising from the selectivity of respondents' answers. For this purpose, it will draw knowledge from the works of oral history experts Pavel Mücke and Miroslav Vaňek for interpretation. Other sources will include school chronicles, ONV Kolín Council files and articles from regional newspapers. At the end of the work, the appendices will present the statements of individual witnesses, to whom, however, anonymous names will be assigned to protect their privacy.
Control of medical devices and material equipment in rescue service car and preparation for rescue operation. Manual for a paramedics.
PROCHÁZKA, Jakub
This bachelor thesis deals with the inspection of medical devices and material equipment in a rescue service car. Inspection is one of the work duties that a paramedic must complete during the work shift. An insufficient inspection might lead to the failure of medical devices or the lack of material equipment necessary during the shift. Due to the increasing number of rescue trips, it may sometimes be difficult to do the inspection between each trip. In the theoretical part I outlined the legislation pertaining rescue services, the requirements for the equipment of the cars, dividing the rescue trip groups. I also described the devices and materials that the paramedics use. The goal of this thesis was to record the duration, process and competence during the inspection of medical devices and material equipment. I also focused on the most hazardous instances in the event of an insufficient inspection. The practical part was done using the semi-structured interview method with nine paramedics. The results state that in most cases paramedics have enough time to do the inspection of devices and equipment during the shift, even if the inspection is slow. However, due to the nature of this profession, the time of the inspection, as well as its duration, cannot be planned ahead. The best conclusion would be to shorten the time needed for the inspection to a minimum while having the highest possible quality of the inspection. I also found out that paramedics do different kinds of inspections, which they do on their own and are responsible for. The last part of the research has showed that paramedics consider the failure of medical devices as the most dangerous. Given the minimal instances of a device failure during a rescue trip, I believe that paramedics give the most importance to this part of the inspection.
Changes in body composition induced by targeted force-dynamic physical activity when the organism is saturated with omega 3 fatty acids.
PROCHÁZKA, Jakub
This diploma thesis deals with omega-3 fatty acids and their effect on the change of body composition during targeted force-dynamic activity in subjects. The aim is to map and determine whether increased consumption of Omega-3 may be involved in the transformation of body. The theoretical part is divided into three parts. The first deals with body composition and body typology. The second part deals with movement, physical activities, aerobic and anaerobic zones, hypertrophy, and training. The last chapter discusses fats, more precisely mainly Omega 3 fatty acids and its sources and benefits for the human body. The research took place under the auspices of a 4-month intervention program, which all probands implemented during the research. More precisely, at the very beginning, the probands were categorized into 2 groups, one of which, in addition to adhering to the intervention program, received and used the OPTI OMEGA3 food supplement. At the beginning of the research, the probands were monitored using multifrequency segmental bioelectric impedance analysis on an In Body 770 instrument, which could map the changes in the physical constitution of the participants.
