Pavlovičová, Klára ; Perič, Tomáš (advisor) ; Prajerová, Květa (referee)
Title: Non-specific preparation of figure skaters (5-14 years of age) during preparation period Purpose of paper: In the diploma paper I am going to focus on the issue of non-specific preparation of figure skaters. I would like to point out the importance of establishing a wide basis of agility abilities in children (from the ages of 5 to 14) during training season. The purpose of this work is to create a model of non-specific preparation of children, which emphasizes the main non-specific agility abilities for later peak performance training of figure skaters. These include balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, speed, and strength. These qualifications determine the measure of exact execution of specific elements on the ice (jumps, step variations, pirouettes, and spirals). It is clear that these agility abilities are interconnected in a direct and indirect way. By creating a coherent training approach, these connections can be discovered, named, and included in the preparation structure. The methods: The method of literature research was utilized for this work. The result: The result should be a proposal of a coherent training approach of non-specific preparation of figure skaters (from the ages of 5 to 14) during training season. KEY WORDS: Figure skating, preparation structure:...

Krčková, Adéla ; Hošková, Blanka (advisor) ; Prajerová, Květa (referee)
Title: The effectiveness of compensation practices after training at badminton player Author: Adéla Krčková Aims: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of compensation exercise after training on shortened muscles or muscle groups, the presence of trigger points in muscles and the presence of pain in musculoskeletal system at badminton players. Methods: This is a randomized pilot study based on a mixed type of research (quantitative, qualitative parameters), the methodological principle is a two-factor and multi level. Research was attended by 14 players aged 13-17 years , boys and girls. The whole group of players was examined by a physiotherapist , which included examination of shortened muscles by Janda, palpation assessment of the presence of trigger points in the muscles. The muscles which were assessed for the presence of trigger points were the same as the muscles , which in vestigates shortening and eventually every player will be asked for pain musculoskeletal system and evaluate numerical pain rating scale . Then , this group was divided by reported pain present in two groups: intervention and control group, so that in each group as far as possible the same number of players with pain. The intervention group subsequently completed a two-month compensation program, which was...

Title: Relation between aerobic endurance and static strength of elderly female athletes to selected anthropometric parameters. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyse an aerobic endurance, tested by 2 km walk test and static strength tested by prone bridge maneuver and to investigate any existing association to selected anthropometric parameters. These tests were undertaken by elderly female athletes studying U3A at the UK FTVS. Methods: 48 elderly female athletes (age 66,1±2,35, body height 1,67±0,064cm, body weight 69,80±10,42kg, waist circumference 88,82±10,64cm, body mass index (BMI) 25,10±3,62), studying U3V of UK FTVS at the time of taking the part in the research. The original sample of elderly athletes accounted for 86, but elderly athletes over age of 70 and athletes under heart - rate medication were excluded. Male athletes were also excluded for greater group compatibility. Measurement of aerobic endurance was realized by a 2 km walk test at the athletic stadium of UK FTVS according to Mr. Stejskal. Time and heart rate were scanned by sporttesters (PolarS610i). Static strength was measured by isometric method of prone bridge maneuver. Selected anthropometric parameters to the aerobic endurance and prone bridge maneuver were investigated. All data was processed using the...

Zapletalová, Barbora ; Harbichová, Ivana (advisor) ; Prajerová, Květa (referee)
Title: Quality of life of women with urinary stress incontinence Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to assess quality of life of women after conservative therapy and chirurgic therapy of urinary stress incontinence in Brno-město and Brno- venkov district. Methods: We did a questionnaire survey on quality of life by using a standardized questionnaire I-QoL (Urinary Incontinence Quality-of-life questionnaire). The questionnaire survey was conducted in patients after conservative or surgical therapy by TVT or TOT tape. Subjectively perceived quality of life of these patients after completion of the therapy was observed. The results were compared between the groups undergoing conservative and surgical therapy by TVT or TOT tape. Results: After the output assessment of quality of life of patients after the treatment, we found that there is a difference in the quality of life of patients treated conservatively and surgically by TVT or TOT tape. Patients treated surgically had higher quality of life than patients treated conservatively by 9%. We also found that there is a difference in the physical, mental and social scores of the groups. The respondents who were treated conservatively had lower score in all evaluated areas with the greatest difference in the physical area and the smallest difference...

Title: The relationship of body composition and aerobic fitness in the elderly Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the aerobic fitness of students at University of Third Age at the UK FTVS and to investigate whether there exists an association between body composition and aerobic fitness. Methods: The research involved 54 seniors (age 64 ± 2.71 years, body height 163.23 ± 6.05 cm) who studied at University of the 3rd Age at the UK FTVS at the time of research. The original sample of probands was 91, but people aged over 70 years and people taking heart-rate medications had to be excluded. Measurments of body composition was performed using BIA 2000M multifrequency bioimpedance analysis. The investigated parameters were total body water (TBW), intracellular water (ICW), extracellular water (ECW) in litres, fat free mass (FFM) in kg, percentage of body fat (% BF) and extracellular and body cell mass ratio (ECM/BCM). Measurement of aerobic fitness was performed by a 2 km test pass, evaluated by Stejskal at the athletic stadium UK FTVS. Time and heart rate were scanned by sporttester (Polar S 610i). The data was processed using the IBM SPSS statistics 22. Results: The results showed that our group belongs to "avarage seniors" in terms of aerobic fitness. A significant relationship...

Papežová, Veronika ; Prajerová, Květa (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: The influence of sports aerobics on posture and muscle balance Aim: The aim of the thesis is to find out how aerobic gymnastics (sport aerobics) at the top level affects selected groups of muscles and posture of girls with more than 10 years of competing experience. The thesis compares the results of a group practicing aerobics with the results of a group of girls of the same age category, who engage in physical activities only during school physical education lessons. Characteristics: The diploma thesis deals with the effect of aerobic gymnastics on good posture. The basis for this thesis was obtained by testing selected shortened and weakend muscle groups. Two groups of girls were compared. The first group consisted of girls representing the Czech Republic at international championships and practicing aerobic gymnastics at the highest level for more than ten years. On the other hand, the second group consisted of subjects, who were engaged in physical activities only in physical education lessons in school. Methods: In the thesis there was used a qualitative research and delibarate selection of subjects. Selected tests evaluated posture according to Matthias according to Haladová, Nechvátalová (1997), with the help of lowered plumb line according to Kopecký (2010) and test exercises for...

Verešová, Anna ; Flemrová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Prajerová, Květa (referee)
Title: Impact of Motion Activities to Changes in the Curvature of Spine in Pregnancy Objectives: The goal was to verify the effects of selected motion, action to change the curvature of the spine and pelvic tilt which arise during pregnancy. Methods: The study used a method "1 level", "1 factor" experiment. The research, which took place between October 2009 and December 2009, included a group of ten selected women who were pregnant for the 1st time, aged 27-28 years, in the II. trimester of pregnancy Results: Changes in curvature of the cervical and lumbar lordosis in women who were exercising were very small, compared to the not exercising women. One client, who did the exercises, even improved the value, which I ascribe to the strengthening of the muscle corset and the use of appropriate movement activities that help to compensate the changes. Pelvic inclination values have changed minimally. The changes in the spine curvature and the pelvic tilt were more distinct in the women who did not exercise. Key words: Pregnancy, Physical Activity, Cervical Lordosis, Lumbar Lordosis, Pelvic Tilt.
