The Factors of Competiveness of Companies in Engineering Industry

The thesis is called The Factors of Competiveness of Companies in Engineering Industry. I deal with the current situation in engineering, meaning of innovations in companies, the aspects which stimulate them and on the contrary limit them and the possibilities of various kinds of cooperation. The thesis explains the importance of regular analysis of situation of companies on the market, careful determination and fulfillment of the strategy and the operational effectiveness. According to the used resources the factors of competitiveness were determined. In the practical part I analyzed four companies from the surroundings of Ústí nad Orlicí which produce radiators, fittings, machines for textile industry and buses. From acquired information it is possible to say that these companies are competitive and they focus on innovations. I discussed the factors of competitiveness with the managers of engineering companies and I created the summary of the factors which influence prosperity of the engineering companies.

Microeconomic Impacts of Structural Funds in the Nonprofit Sector

My thesis titled "Microeconomic Impact of Structural Funds in the Nonprofit Sector" focuses on the analysis of the impact of EU funds on the capacities of Czech NGOs. I dealt with the situation of public benefit companies. I have measured the impact on capacity through economic indicators derived from financial statements of organizations which are the total revenues, total staff costs, profit and total debt. Results of the analysis has been achieved by comparison of supported and unsupported organizations for the period 2006-2011 using selected methods of counterfactual impact evaluation as the difference-in-difference method and matching method. Using these methods I have been able to find a positive effect of EU Structural funds on the capacities of Czech non-profit organizations.

The Impact of Public Support on Development of Enterprises in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis The Impact of Public Subsidies on Development of Enterprises in the Czech Republic examines the real impact on profit, revenues and debts. Counterfactual impact evaluation method is used on companies subsidised from structural funds. These indicators were examined by difference-in-difference method based on the selective research of 1738 companies subsidised from OP Entrepreneurship and Innovation and control group of the same size. The impact of public support on the profit of subsidised companies was quantified as 608 -- 5 547 ths. CZK and the impact on sales as 14 713 -- 42 511 ths. CZK. 1 CZK used for subsidies increased the profit of supported companies by 0.05 -- 0.44 CZK and sales by 1.16 -- 3.35 CZK. Hypothesis that the growth of supported firms increased their debt has not been proved. Also a slight positive effect of support on growth in return on equity was identified.

Analysis of drawing financial resources from Regional Operational Programme South-East

This thesis deals with regional policy of the European Union and drawing of financial resources from the Structural Funds in the Czech Republic. The aim is to analyze the drawing of funding from the Regional Operational Programme South-East during programming period 2007-2013, which is financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The theoretical part is focused on regional policy in the European Union, its principles, instruments, and objectives. The thesis also describes the regional policy of the Czech Republic and its connection to the EU. In the practical part I analyzed drawing of financial resources and unsuccessful projects. The analysis is observed from three aspects: the area of support, the geographical distribution and the type of applicant.

Business Plan of Family Amusement Center Funland

The main purpose of this thesis is business plan of new family fun center and evaluates its business plan. The diploma thesis is divided to two parts. The first part of thesis concentrates on theoretical part and prepares basis for the practical part and deals with issues in its spare time from different angles, the actual business plan and selecting appropriate legal forms of business. Second part includes business plan which will be used for dealings with financial institutions and investors. The business plan contains all the key parts such as the introduction of company, PEST analysis or analysis of competitors, marketing plan, operation and financial plan.

V roce 2003 byla připravena metodika distančního vzdělávání, vytvořena realizační koncepce seminářů (organizace), připravovaly se studijní materiály (školení autorů studijních textů a tutorů, metodika vedení autorů studijních textů, tvorba manuálu pro tutory, tvorba studijních textů a jejich úpravy do distanční podoby) a byl vytvořen webový portál s informacemi o vzdělávání.

Cílem projektu je dle zadávací dokumentace vyhodnotit stávající a navrhnout doplnění ekonomických nástrojů včetně možných zdrojů, využitelných k zabezpečení povinností vyplývajících ze směrnic č. 92/43/EEC a č. 79/409/EEC a na základě výsledků analýzy kvantifikovat náklady a navrhnout systém ekonomických nástrojů k zabezpečení povinností naplnit cíle obou směrnic. Kvalitativní a kvantitativní analýza potřeb v ochraně přírody a krajiny v České republice včetně povinností vyplývajících ze směrnic č. 92/43/EEC a č. 79/409/EEC a kvantifikace nákladů nezbytných k zabezpečení jejich plnění. Metodika kvantifikace nákladů ochrany přírody a krajiny. Metodický postup kvantifikace opatření v ochraně přírody. Kvantifikace potřeb v pilotních oblastech. Analýza stávajících systémů ekonomických nástrojů v ochraně přírody a krajiny v Rakousku, Velké Británii, Finsku, na Slovensku a v Německu.
