1 Abstract Legal issues of transactions with securities and financial derivatives The aim of this thesis is to analyse valid legal regulations concerning securities and financial derivatives, to compare it with regulations valid before recodification of Czech private law as well as to describe operation of the financial market, where transactions with securities and financial derivatives take place, through analysis of capital market regulation and supervision. The thesis is composed of three main chapters. Chapter One is focused on a definition of the financial market and its structure and further examines the capital market as a part of the financial market. Primary attention is concentrated on capital market regulation and supervision from the perspective of international, European and national law. Conclusion of this chapter deals with the main organizer of the regulated market in the Czech Republic, i.e Prague Stock Exchange. Chapter Two concerns the definitions of securities and their classification according to their forms and types. Shares, as one of the most important type of securities, are covered in more detail. Franchising in gastronomy

The bachelor thesis deals with the expanded type of business franchising, which enables the entity to achieve a maximum of revenues with a minimum of costs. This thesis is focused on the well known company Ambiente. It is divided into two parts. The first part gives a detailed definition of franchising, briefly describes the history of franchising and explains the franchising system including its advantages and disadvantages for the franchisee and the franchisor. There are also explained the licenses, which are the basis for this type of business. This thesis is mainly focused on the Czech market, but it also includes a comparison to the Slovak market. The second part presents the company Ambiente and pays particular attention to the comparison between a franchisor and an independent company. In the conclusion, the results of the thesis are evaluated.

New product development and launch

This thesis deals with the introduction of a new product to the local market. It is a frozen food category item, more precisely ice cream and was marketed under traditional Misa brand. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the interpretation of terms and important issues related to the field of study -- brand management, marketing planning and marketing mix. Practical part presents results of a qualitative research conducted as set of individual in depth interviews, on a sample of 12 respondents, with the aim to analyze motivation, needs, habits and desires of buyers when making purchase decision, and value the importance of traditional brand in the process of making purchase decision.

Consumer protection and dangerous products

This work deals with dangerous products marketed in The Czech Republic. The theoretical part summarises legislature concerning dangerous products, and other significant issues related to this work -- RAPEX information system, product tagging, tags for consumers, and respective supervisory authorities. The practical part presents the survey of customer awareness which was done through questionnaires. The aim of the work is to analyse consumer awareness of their rights and responsibilities, how they cope with consumer protection and dangerous products, or to what extend they are interested in product tags.
