Havrlant, Jaroslav ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (referee) ; Halama, Ota (referee)
Prolegomena to Search for Ecclesiological Inspirations in the Life and Work of Tomáš Bavorovský († 1562) Jaroslav Havrlant Tomáš Bavorovský, a Czech preacher and writer is still a quite unknown personality of the Bohemian renaissance. In my thesis I try to make a research of his ecclesiological attitudes. Thesis are divided into three parts. The first, universal part put the reader into very a difficult religion-political situation in west and south Bohemia in the first half of the 16th century. The aim of the second part is to tell more about personality of the preacher and in the last one I concentrate on his life work. The first part describes specific situation of Bohemian reformation, which was different from neighboring countries due to its Hussite tradition and Utracvistic church. German reformation was at first more quickly spread among Catholics than Utracvists in Bohemia. Special attention is paid to church government, educational system, book printing as well as censorship. Tomáš Bavorovský worked mostly in Catholic towns of south Bohemia and in Plzeň. Therefore, a short description of their religious history follows. The longest chapter is devoted to the relation between Bohemian countries and Erasmus Rotterdam, who takes very progressive opinions but he did not join to reformation. The...

Nosek, Lukáš ; Novotný, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (referee) ; Vogel, Jiří (referee)
Ecclesiology of Antonín Salajka (1901-1975) The following work presents an ecclesiological analysis of the publication by prof. Antonín Salajka (1901-1975). In the first part, it submits the biography of the author. This author was the first czech catholic priest laureated in Pontifical Institute of Oriental Studies in Rome (in 1930). In the second part, it closely inteprets the very ecclesiology of the author itself. Salajka - theologist is introduced from several perspectives as well. First we supplied a suggestion for periodization of his scientific work. There we proposed two periods in congruence with a paradigm change of ecclesiastic-social circumstances, including changes of theological studies, which evidently affected our author's life and scientific work. The two proposed periods are: (1) 1930-1950, i.e. scientifically paramount and fundamental; (2) 1950-1975. Further, we introduced areas which fell under Salajka's interest: unionism, eastern christian churches and the problem of christian unification, eastern dogmatic theology, Church Slavonic, the study of christian East, dogmatic theology, so called theologia comparata, but also ecumenism, theological realisation, method in theology, fundamental theology, moral theology, last but not least pedagogical activity. The main subject in his...
Christology and Soteriology in Radio Free Europa Broadcast (1980-1995) (The Analysis of Fr. Msgr. Karel J. Fořt's homilies)
Krenciv, Angelika ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (advisor) ; Pelc, Bogdan (referee)
Anotace: The point (goal) of this work was to analyze author's Christology and Soteriology of delivering the doctrine of Church about Jesus Christ, who is He and what His earth-life stands for us, to common people who lived in totalitarian regime in the period of communism. The true information about the situation in the country and in the world, mostly about the course of events in the Church in general and in the Czech particular Church (primarily about the II. Vatican council) was denied to all people. Churchgoers were threatened and discriminated. Not all people, who father Karel talked to on the airwaves, were churchgoers. This particular aspect author had to include too.

Brož, Prokop ; Pospíšil, Ctirad Václav (advisor) ; Ventura, Václav (referee) ; Žák, Ľubomír (referee)
This dissertation discusses the theological work of Johann Adam Möhler (1796- 1838) with special emphasis on his ecclesiology. It is divided in two parts: the first part concerns Möhler's course of life in its cultural and historical context, the second part presents the intellectual richness of this Swabian theologian. As this work deals especially with Möhler's conception of the Church, the second part is focused on five ecclesiologically significant texts of this theologian: Einheit in der Kirche (1825), Athanasius (1827), Anselm (1827), Symbolik (1832) and Introduction to the lectures on the Church history (1837). These texts are introduced and analysed with the help of three selected interpreters (Geiselmann, Wagner, Himes). The closing part of the dissertation summarizes Möhler's notion of the Church in four points: 1. Möhler's orientation qualifies him as a historian of the Church. That's why he builds on the essentially historical form of the Church. The basic variety and plurality of the Church life is his point of departure. 2. The determining character of the Church is its unity, founded in the operation of the Holy Spirit, and operating in the spiritual realm of the created and redeemed world endowed with life. 3. The Holy Spirit beeing the principle of the Church unity, its foundation...
