Technical preparation of a handgun component production
Blažek, David ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to propose ways of producing a firing pin. Reverse engineering is applied to the specified component. In the first part of the thesis, the function of the firing pin, clamping of eccentric components on the lathe, types of production according to serial number and selected machines are described. The second part goes through the measurement that is implemented in the practical part. After measuring and evaluating the results, several fuze production technologies were proposed. An ISO code was created for them, which was then simulated. The times and other aspects of the given technologies were subsequently compared and evaluated. For the required series of 10,000 pcs, it is suitable to use turning technology with machined jaws or technology using pressing and compound tools.
Application of GibbsCAM software for machining
Gerbel, Jakub ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The main subject of this thesis is the application of GibbsCAM software in machining. In this thesis, a system analysis of the problem solved is carried out, especially concerning CAD/CAM systems, machining of deep pocket corners and the distribution of touch probes. From a practical point of view, the work is realized with the company JHV - GROUP s.r.o. The goal of the work is to design the actual component and create a 3D model in the CAD system CREO Parametric. Programming of its production with application of in-process measurement was performed in GibbsCAM software. The proposed procedure is verified in Vericut software. Subsequently, the production of the part is realized on a selected CNC machine tool and then the measurement on a 3D coordinate measuring machine. The application of in-process measurement on the selected CNC machine with a FANUC control system, is realized by Renishaw Inspection Plus measurement cycles. The obtained results are evaluated and discussed in the final chapter. From the results drawn, recommendations and suggestions for the industrial enterprise are made.
Measurement of small arms components - influence of grinding technology
Havlík, Daniel ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the problem of measuring the surface texture parameters of a small arms component when applied to the hammer of a revolver. The measured component was manufactured by chip machining, specifically by grinding technology. The paper describes the design and execution of an experiment aimed at monitoring the effect of changes in technological conditions (cutting conditions) on the surface texture of the component.
Design and production of selected 3D printed metallic parts
Masson, Quentin ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Thales LAS France currently has parts of their system that are manufactured by forging or casting. Nowadays the tools and equipment for those processes are getting worn, the sub-contracting company in charge of some of casted parts can’t guarantee the quality of those parts anymore. Moreover, Thales recently has set up a plant specialized in metallic additive manufacturing and the policy of production is to encourage the production in that subsidiary. In order to adress those issues, Thales LAS France managed to prepare his design office for designing parts that will be 3D printed. My function is to establish a methodology for the mechanical design of parts that will be manufactured in additive manufacturing. Once the researches about the process and the different technologies will be done, I will establish steps that must be achieve for the mechanical design of a piece or a system. The methodology will take into account the physical properties that can be guaranteed by the process and their flaws such as the porosity for instance, the constraint linked to the technology and if possible apply to the part a topological optimization.
Research of a Cutting Tool with a Diamond Active Part
Trčka, Tomáš ; Mrkvica, Ivan (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The submitted dissertation is focused on research in the field of milling tools with a diamond active part when machining one of the difficult-to-machine materials (Ti-6Al-4V). The first chapters are dealing with a theoretical analysis of a given workpiece material and polycrystalline diamond (PCD) as a super-cutting material. One of the theoretical chapters is also focused on tool sharpening technologies, for which the hardness of a diamond is no longer a crucial factor. The main part of the dissertation is the design, construction and production of tools taking into account the technological design, along with the application of modern trends and technologies enabling innovation and progressive design – from the perspective of macro/micro tool geometry and insert sharpening technology. The research was focused on the application of own inserts on the insert rake face and specific sharpening technologies EDMG, WEDM and LASER. One modification of the face of the PCD insert with a laser was subsequently applied to prototype circle segment end mill. Detailed analysis of manufactured tools and workpiece material was performed by electron, optical and digital microscopy. The measured parameters in the subsequent analysis of the machining process were force loading, tool wear, temperature measurement using a thermal imaging camera and analysis of the machined surface in the form of microhardness and roughness measurements.
Analysis of risks of digitisation of production in an industrial enterprise
Vínovský, Jan ; Polzer, Aleš (referee) ; Rozehnalová, Jana (advisor)
Industry 4.0 is also currently known as the "fourth industrial revolution" or the "digitization of industrial production." Like other industrial revolutions that have already taken place during human development, the latest brings a large number of changes and new methods or technologies that aim to facilitate and make human work as efficient as possible. The final work explains what the "fourth industrial revolution" is, its basic principles and methods that are already used today. Furthermore, this work examines the extent to which Industry 4.0 is introduced in the Czech Republic, the EU and the world, and how it is regulated through legislative frameworks. An analysis was then created focusing on the risks incurred and proposing a solution.
Application of the CAD/CAM software and Sinumerik control system in machining
Láznička, David ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This Master´s thesis is focused on the design of a shaft component and its production using CAD/CAM software and the Sinumerik control system. The first part is devoted to the analysis of current possibilities in NC programming. In the next part, the actual design of the rotating part and the elaboration of the necessary technical documentation is performed. The last part is the verification of the developed NC program using graphical simulation and justification of the chosen solution.
Application of the hyperMILL 2021.2 SP3 CAM software for machining
Rais, Tomáš ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This Master‘s thesis is dealing with the design of the NC program in hyperMILL software. A machining program has been already created for this component based on which a new optimized program is created. The work includes technical documentation and documents necessary for the creation of the NC program. Specifically, a model of the part, a simplified drawing and setup sheets generated based on mentioned newly created NC program. In the designed optimized program, refined tools are considered for production, which started to be used in companies due to their price. The thesis contains author’s own conclusions and recommendations for practice in addition to performed optimization in the program designed for machining the selected part. The technical evaluation focuses on possible problems related to the use of re-sharpened tools. The economic evaluation is then dealing with the estimation of savings achieved by the use of re-sharpened tools.
Application of CAD/CAM software for machining
Havran, Lukáš ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the application of CAD / CAM system in machining. It contains a brief search of the possibilities of programming in CAD / CAM systems. Software that were used in this work were Creo Parametric from PTC and PowerMILL from Autodesk. The practical part of this work is focused on the production of a copy of a physically existing component using selected systems. In this part, attention is paid to the creation of a 3D model together with production of documentation using the Creo program and the creation of the machining program in PowerMILL for the implementation of production at CNC machine. The proposed procedure is verified by graphical simulation. Part of the practical part is also the selection of suitable machinery and tools for the actual production. The conclusion of the work is devoted to the control of the manufactured component.
