The economics of dairy cows breeing

This bachelor thesis is focused on economical evaluation of Holstein cattle breeding in years 2010- 2014. The exploration was implemented in Agrodružstvo Zábřeh, which is specializes on agricultural activities. The thesis is devided into two parts - into the theorical and the practical part. In the theoretical part are descriped breeds of cattle, types of stabling and kinds of milking parlors. Then there are defined costs, revenues and economic result. This part also discusses the methods of calculation in animal production, financial analysis and indicators of profitability. In the practical part is calculated the economic result based on determined cost. At expressed costs and revenues are executed financial analysis, namely, horizontal analysis and vertical analysis. The final point of practical part is assessment of profitability. The final part summarizes achieved results and proposes measures for improving the situation of animal center Agrodružstvo Zábřeh.
