Single-family house in Troskotovice
Slunečková, Eliška ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis aims to design a single-family passive house. Designed house is situated in Troskotovice on a flat building plot. The house is composed of two volumes: a bigger two-floor part with a gable roof and a smaller one-floor part with a mono-pitched green roof. The house is divided into a work zone in the north and east of the ground floor, a social zone in the south of the ground floor and a private zone placed on the first floor. The structural system of the building is a wood frame with timber truss and joist floors. A cast-in-place reinforced concrete slab is used for the foundation. The first part of the thesis includes architectural, structural, and material designs with assigned calculations such as acoustics, daylighting, energy certificate and fire safety calculations. The second part of my bachelor´s thesis consists of heat, ventilation, and plumbing designs with a focus on the ventilation design. An air/water heat pump is used for heating up domestic hot water and water for a wall heating system. The house is equipped with heat recovery ventilation system. Rainwater from roofs is collected in an accumulation retention tank and used for watering a garden and toilet. Excessive rainwater s infiltrated in an infiltration basin on the plot. Design of the house includes connection to the electrical grid, optical grid, water supply and sewage systems.

Apartment building in Bučovice
Konečná, Dominika ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
In the town of Bučovice, on plot number 1282/100 in the cadastral area of Bučovice, a new apartment building has been designed. The construction is located on a nearly flat plot. The land-use plan designates the area as residential space for apartment buildings. The building consists of one underground floor and three above-ground floors. There are six residential units planned in the building. The entrance to the building is located on the northeast side and is designed with barrier-free access. The first underground floor houses cellar storage rooms, technical facilities for the apartment building, and three separate garage spaces. On the first above-ground floor, right after the entrance, there is a shared stroller and bicycle storage room. Additionally, there are two 1-room-kitchen (1KK) apartments on this floor. On the second above-ground floor, there are two 2-room-kitchen (2KK) units, and on the third above-ground floor, there are again two 1KK units. The foundation structures are constructed using a system of plain concrete strip foundations. The perimeter walls of the above-ground floors are built with ceramic blocks and insulated with an ETICS (Exterior Thermal Insulation Composite System) contact system with a thickness of 200mm. The staircase and intermediate landings are prefabricated, and the ceiling structures are monolithic reinforced concrete. The building is roofed with a flat green roof.
CDE Capabilities in a BIM Urban Engineering Project
Shvets, Yulia ; Gottvaldová, Jana (referee) ; Pilný, Ondřej (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the possibility of a common CDE data environment in a BIM urban engineering project. The thesis deals with the assessment of the benefits and disadvantages of digitization of documentation in various areas of urban engineering using a common data environment as the only source of data during the entire life cycle of a construction object. The theoretical part discusses the basic concepts of BIM modeling, BIM documentation and the current state of the BIM field in the Czech Republic. The practical part shows the connection of the information model and the common data environment. Based on the results of the project, the CDE options of the urban engineering project were evaluated, and the important points of CDE implementation in practice were proposed.
Traffic Solution Study in the Skalka area in the Náchod City
Čížková, Veronika ; Gottvaldová, Jana (referee) ; Pilný, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of the traffic solution of the local road on the outskirts of the city of Náchod and outlining the possible use of the surrounding areas. The drawings were processed in the Civil 3D program. The output of design of the corridor, created with regard to the irregularlyshaped terrain and compliance with the design parameters given by decrees and technical standards, would, after its implementation, reduce traffic in the area.
Civic amenities building
Zachar, Dominik ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Berková, Petra (advisor)
The aim of master´s project is to design a new civic amenity building. The chosen type of building is a cinema in cadastral area Strážnice. It is a three-storey building with a walkable roof. On the first floor there are 2 cinema hall, bufet, canteen, storerooms and sanitary facilities. On the second and third floor there are sound room, projection room sanitary facilities and air conditioning engine room. On the roof there are terrace with cafe bar. The vertical loadbearing structures are designed from reinforced concrete in all storeys. The building is insulated by a contact thermal insulation system. The horizontal loadbearing structures are designed from prestressed spiroll panels. The staircase are designed from reinforced monolithic/cast-in-place concrete slab. The flat roof consists of a flat roof with extensive greenery and a terrace. Building is heated by stationary gas condensing boiler. Ventilated by air handling unit and cooling by outdoor cooling unit. Artificial lighting will be provided by dimmable LED lights. Rainwater will be collected in a tank and reused. On the flat roof is situated photovoltaic system. The spatial acoustics were designed so that the calculation of the reverberation time in the room meets the requirements of applicable standards and regulations.
The Kindergarten in Brno-Tuřany
Kallab, Štěpán ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is the design of a new kindergarten building in Brno - Tuřany. The building has two classrooms and one workshop for the creation of ceramic products. It is a one-storey building. The building has two types of roofs: a flat green roof and a mono pitched roof covered by metal. Extension and Retrofit of the Healthcare Centre
Batke, Ľuboš ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The diploma thesis is a project focused on the conversion of an administrative building into a healthcare centre. In the past, the building served as an administrative building and the headquarters of the district department of the Slovak Police Force. The existing building will serve the residents of the town as a healthcare facility after construction modifications including an extension and modernization. Extension is necessary due to the insufficient capacity of the existing building. Extension will have a masonry vertical support system made of aerated concrete blocks. The floor structures will be made of prestressed hollow core slabs. The project significantly changes the original state regarding the functionality of the building, in which 17 outpatient clinics and a radiology workplace will be created. The layout together with the materials is described in detail in the project documentation and in the text part of the work. The diploma thesis also presents the method of necessary adjustments to the immediate surroundings. The original project documentation of the object was not available, all information was obtained by measuring and inspecting the building in February 2021.
Cinema, Television and Conceptual Transmutations in Samuel Beckett's 1960s Prose
Nixon Kiryushina, Galina ; Pilný, Ondřej (advisor) ; Wallace, Clare (referee) ; Weller, Shane (referee)
This dissertation examines the impact of Samuel Beckett's close personal and professional engagement with film and television technologies on the form and content of his prose works of the 1960s. It begins by charting Beckett's interest in cinematography and its complex but key role in the development of his aesthetics during the 1930s, the formative and intellectually rich period to which he kept returning throughout his life and writing career. Drawing on letters, unpublished manuscript material, critical and creative writings as well as numerous contemporary resources, the dissertation traces the evolution of Beckett's thinking about the practice and theory of cinema across the decade, including documentary film, montage editing, and the decline of silent black-and-white cinema, and sets this into a context of the wider cultural debates in modernist Europe around the significance of film as an art form. The dissertation then argues that this experience comes to inform his practical encounters with the media of film and television during the 1960s and beyond, starting with Beckett's work on Film in 1963, and considers the ways in which these modes of expression and their specifics in turn prompted creative impulses for the development of an entirely new conception of Beckett's fiction. It does so...
