Gender Stereotypes in Play and Toy Selection

This bachelor's thesis deals with a timeless topic of gender stereotypes in playing and toy selection. The theoretical part clarifies concepts such as: gender, sex, masculinity and feminity and in this context it looks at gender identity, its development in a personality and gender roles, which are associated with it. In the next part it takes interest in concepts such as game and toy and it divides game into several categories, in addition it takes a closer look at these concepts not only from the view of philosophy, but also from the view of developmental psychology which allows the reader a better insight into the matter. After clarifying these basic concepts, the work continues to gender preference for different types of toys and how this phenomenon relates to upbringing and society. The aim of this work is to find out, whether these gender stereotypes are still present in play nowadays and therefore the work asks this question in the empirical part and it examines this matter in a research through watching children during a spontaneous play. This bachelor's thesis deals with the matter of adult play, highlights the importance and overall role of play in adult life, tries to place it on the same level as, for example, love and it proves that it is not just fun and leisure time. The focus is therefore primarily on the ontological view of the play. Furthermore, the work deals with play elements that penetrate into everyday life and draws attention to the pitfalls associated with the play, which has got out of control, and can lead to addictions, violence and lies. Upbringing and education in the Martin Buber's work as dialog in the method of the encounter and the talk

The diploma thesis pursues problems of the philosophy of dialog in the 20th century with putting emphasis on this philosophy in the Martin Buber's work. Firstly this thesis pursues the term itself. Shortly it focuses on the Buber's contemporaries, namely Ferdinand Ebner and Franz Rosenzweig, who pursued simile problems. Then its attention will be focused on the Martin Buber's personality, describing his life, with putting emphasis on his Jewish roots of thinking. Next, the Buber's point of view on the philosophy of dialog will be analyzed as the encounter and talk. This is done on the base of the analysis of his work. Next aim is to Conner his way of dialog with relation to upbringing and encounter. There will be ilustrated concrete examples on the base of his work, where is shown the Buber's way of thinking specifically. The thesis reached the conclusion how to use the Martin Buber's work in the today's world with the aid of analysis, compilation and hermeneutic. Education, dialogue and totalitarianism in philosophical reflection

The purpose of the diploma thesis is to interpret the philosophical concepts of the education, dialogue and totality against the backdrop of the potential contemporary educational crisis. The thesis demonstrates the contributions of philosophy in characterisation of education. The topics were inspired by the question whether the formal education can develop the authentic thinking of an individual. The author aims to expose the original and justifiable assumptions of education and demonstrate the potential consequences of education perceived solely as a matter of formation and integration into pre-set social structures and mechanisms. The thesis exposes the very essence of education as the fundamental capability of entering dialogue and points out its need for a free yet responsible self-determination of a post-modern individual whose inherent ability to surpass own assumptions prevents the society from the rise of the totalitarian thinking. Origin and development of philosophical views on the status of women in society

This thesis deals with philosophical outlook on the concept of women and their role in history and society. This work seeks to present the image of a woman who has always been a reflection of contemporary society on the background of various historical eras (ancient, medieval, modern times, the 20th century.). Using the method of analysis thesis searches for the reasons of reduction of male population and examines the consequences of this disposition for women. The work focuses on the role of women in the family, upbringing and education. An integral part of this thesis is the insight into relationship between men and women as a basic part of every human society. The conclusion of this work is the analysis and evaluation of the historical development, at the imaginary end of which woman stands today, using the works of philosophers of the late 20th century. Myth in Philosophical Reflection

The theme of graduation theses is a myth in view of philosophy. It is concerned with species interaction myth, epos and logos; myth, philosophy and science; myth and education. There are two meanings of myth: an incorrect scheme and a deep structure, preexisting before thinking, which is manifested by mythology or arts. There are three modalities of human being - science, philosophy and myth. Our education system is concentrating on science, but we are thinking, that philosophy and myth represented by creativity and arts are as important as well, so the education system would be brought into line with it.
Playing in the philosophical and pedagogical reflection

Diploma thesis is devoted to the issue of games in pedagogy, its philosophical basis and its role in language acquisition. It is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part, there is defined a game from the philosophical point of view and its understanding by various authors. The second part deals with the specifics of didactic and language game in general. The practical part brings the specific case of teaching a child who is a foreigner. It also expresses the contribution of such games in pedagogy and teaching the Czech language.
