Management of sport events - Junior Marathon

Title: Sport event management - Junior Marathon Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to suggest some improvements for next years of Junior Marathon based on analysis of Junior Marathon 2014. The other objective is to prepare a manual for organizing this event in 2016. Methods: In this thesis were used following methods: qualitative interviews with the race manager Bojan Nankovič, analysis of documents and case studies. The interview was unstructured with previously known issues. Further was used analysis of secondary data - PIM's company internal materials. After that followed personal observation of Junior Marathon with investigation of whole event. Results: The main results of this thesis are suggestions for improvement of the event based on its analysis. These recommendations can be used also for similar sport events. For instance were detected cheating participants which leads to advice race managers to supervise racers identities. To add, it is highly recommended to improve accompanying activities. Title: Marketing plan of PTU Praha Objectives: The main goal of this diploma thesis was to create a marketing plan for PTU Praha, including analyses of external and internal surroundings. The reason was to propose a concept for that organisation to increase its prosperity by marketing activities. Methods: Both methods of analyses, qualitative (interview and expert pannel) and quantitative (written or electronic survey), were used. Results: Data acquired from qualitative analysis was utilized and summarised in the results section of this diploma thesis. Based on those results and gathered information from interviews the best stratégy with optimal composition of markeing-mix tools has been chosen. Comparison of fitness centers in Český Brod based on customer satisfaction

Title: Comparison of fitness centers in Český Brod based on customer satisfaction Objective: The main objective of this study is to compare the quality of services of two fitness centers in Český Brod in terms of customer satisfaction. Namely, they are the fitness center Infinity and the fitness center Natálie. Another objective is to determine, what the factors of customer satisfaction are and which center provides services deemed more satisfactory. A secondary goal is to provide the management of both centers with improvement options leading to greater customer satisfaction. Methods: Primary data was obtained from a Servqual survey provided to the customers at the reception of each fitness center. More data was gathered via a semi structured interview with each fitness center management. Results: The questionnaire survey indicates that the customers are more satisfied with the services of the fitness center Natálie. However, in neither of the fitness centers are the customers satisfied in all areas of research. The last part of this work contains proposed recommendations, which should be addressed by the fitness centers management in order to improve the customer satisfaction with the provided services. Title: Service quality of Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská in comparison with a competitor Objectives: The main aim of this master's thesis is to measure a level of customer satisfaction with services provided by Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská, to analyse the customer's opinion and to reveal possible gaps in services offered by this sports centre. In case of necessity to suggest the measures leading to improvement of this quality of services and consequent increase in customer satisfaction. The partial purpose is the comparison of customer satisfaction of Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská with the competitor. Methods: A quantitative research, specifically a written questionnaire SERVQUAL, handed out to customers of the sports centre, was used to obtain information from respondents. This questionnaire examines and compares expected quality of the provided service, i.e. the quality that is expected by customers in an ideal fitness centre, with the real level of perceived service quality provided by Solarium Fitness BBC Evropská. Topic: Harmony Wellness Club clientele care Objectives: The primary objective of the thesis was to obtain feedback from clients concerning the running of the sports centre. On the basis of the clients' feedback, the club management representatives were provided with the data in order to identify themselves more closely with the clients' needs. The secondary objective was to propose motions that could, based on analysis, help the sports centre enhance provided service and raise the value of club membership. Methods: The method of written questioning in forms of printed questionnaire and personal questioning was used. The questionnaire was designed to show the club through the eyes of customers, and to find out about strengths and weaknesses in terms of club's running and personnel. The outcomes are demonstrated by means of charts and tables, which result in the interpretation summarizing the whole issue. Results: Clients of the club have not been systematically questioned yet, therefore the club management has not been getting the clients' feedback regarding the running of the club. Title: The impact of placing parkour to the OG on the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity Objectives: The aim of this work was to find out whether the inclusion of parkour at the OG will have an impact on gymnastics viewership and its popularity. The partial goals were to find out the respondents' awareness of parkour and gymnastics and their viewership. Methods: The main goal of the bachelor's thesis required a primary data collection. The research used a quantitative method of questionnaire and could not be done without an operationalization, which was a part of the preliminary elaboration of the research procedure. The research file was selected by an available selection. The questioning was conducted in the electronic form on the Vyplnto.cz website. The research took place in May 2021 and the final research file contained 63 respondents. Results: It was found that the inclusion of parkour in the OG would affect the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity. Gymnastics are currently declining in popularity, while parkour is very popular, especially among teenagers. Analysis of Octagon MMA's marketing mix

Title: Analysis of Oktagon MMA's marketing mix Objectives: The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the functionality of the marketing mix of the Oktagon MMA organization and to propose appropriate measures to improve its quality. Methods: Both primary and secondary research was used to achieve the objective. The primary research was carried out using a quantitative method using an electronic questionnaire to the organization's fans and the qualitative method was conducted in the form of a semi-structured interview with the organization's owner. Secondary data was obtained from freely available internet sources as well as from internal information provided by employees of the organization. Results: Based on research data, proposals have been developed to improve the Octagon MMA marketing mix in the areas of product, price, distribution and communication. Furthermore, the results of the research provided information about the prevailing positive perception of the organization's marketing mix by its fans. Title: The National Youth Sport Festival as a motivation for athletes' careers Objectives: The aim of this work is to evaluate the factors of athletes' motivation for participation at the National Youth Sport Festival and the perceived image of the event. The inclusion of athletes without participation and with participation at the event in the research allows a comparison of the perceived image between these two groups of respondents. Methods: Both quantitative and qualitative methods are used in this thesis. Electronic interviewing of the National Youth Sport Festival participants and members of sports association without participation was the main method of data collection. The questionnaires were compiled according to foreign studies. The electronic interviewing was supplemented with an in-depth interview with a marketing expert. Results: The results show, that the National Youth Sport Festival is fulfilling the main mission in the mind of participants. The sports event brings participants not only experiences, but also fun, enjoyment and new friendships. The event is a motivational event that motivates not only to recreational but also professional sport. Characteristics and management of sokol volunteers

Title: Characteristics and management of sokol volunteers Objectives: The main objective of this thesis aims to characterize Sokol volunteers and to map the criteria that affect them and are perceived by them as key to performing their responsibilities. A marginal focus is on the satisfaction with the current management. A partial task is to describe this form of long-term sports volunteering. Methods: For the purposes of this bachelor thesis, mixed research was used. The method of quantitative questionnaire survey was applied among 119 Sokol volunteers in the form of an electronic questionnaire. The second method used is the method of a qualitative in- depth semi-structured interview, which was used for interviews with representatives of the management of the Czech Sokol Organization. Results: Sokol volunteers were characterized in terms of socio-demographic characteristics, motivation, barriers to activity, history with the organization, inclusion in the organization, financial and time requirements and qualifications. The research showed that Sokol volunteers are well qualified and educated volunteers who perceive the main motivation for the activity in the Sokol values, which they would like to spread further.
