This master's thesis is concerned with the relationship between non-profit organizations and regional administration, with a special emphasis on their mutual cooperation when a regional development program is being designed. Reviewing the Olomouc region, the Plzeň Region and Hradec Králové region, the research provides an overview of approaches of both the non-profit organizations and regional administration representatives to this issue, comparing them with the data obtained from the research projects carried out in the past as well as with the accessible literature.

State Support of Domiciliary Services

The title of my diploma paper is State Support of Domiciliary Services for the Elderly, in which I talk about domiciliary services as the main instrument for social inclusion In my diploma work, I focus on the main features that influence the provision of domiciliary social services for the elderly, in the light of current reforms, related, previously implemented reforms and the introduction of social services legislation from 2006,in valid wording. In my analysis of these elements, I evaluate the support of the state to analyse the accessibility and development of domiciliary social services in the region as an instrument for social inclusion.I focus on the competence and responsibilities of the individual providers, as the state, district, community and non-governmental, non-profit organisations in the field of social services.An important element in securing high quality services is their accessibility and therefore I concern myself with the circumstances and evaluation of the region's facilities.I further describe basic financial resources of the financial structure of social services, giving the specific example of the financial structure of social service providers in Prague 2's district council area. Regional NGOs' umbrella association as a role model of cooperation between civic sector and public administration

The objective of this thesis is to discuss regional NGOs' umbrella associations and to explore their part as a role model of cooperation between civic sector and public administration while using qualitative research methods. Against the backdrop of a case study of specific NGO association, this paper examines to what extent may activities of such association contribute to a standardized cooperation with public administration. The theoretical basis of the research is defining the state and the civic sector as regulators of democratic societies. Its primary focus is on areas with significant influence on the subject, namely and in particular the topic of regional (self)government and NGOs' umbrella assocations in the Czech Republic.

The Development of Network of Environmental NGOs in Pardubice Region.

This diploma paper focuses on the area of environmental NGOs in Pardubice region. The main goal is to map chosen environmental NGOs and choose suitable environmental centers, which should have become the part of network of environmental NGOs in Pardubice region. The integral part ot this work is the survey of ten chosen environmental NGOs, which finds out present state and possibility of their development. Theoretical part defines individual parts, which are part of the survey and describes attitude of Pardubice region to NGOs, its conception EESE (environmental education, study and enlightenment), activity of the regional linkman of EESE and present situation of environmental NGOs in Pardubice region. In the empirical part there are described the basic information of individual NGOs, analys of questionnaires and interviews of surveyed NGOs and general summary. The new informations from the survey and evaluated achieved aims are placed at the end of the work.

Analyse of Protected Work-rooms with Regard to their Rise in Civic Sector and Trading Companies

Presented thesis deals with theme of protected employment of people with disabilities as one of the posssible ways of their integration into mainstream society. Unemployment, potential negative impacts of work in protected conditions and the risk of social exclusion are in this thesis presented as a social problem, in the solution of which are to some extent involved participants of all three sectors - the state as well as organizations of private profit- and non-profit sector. The theoretical part describes the current system of employment support for people with disabilities in our country and its effectiveness, and analyses the potential impact on lives of this group of citizens. The thesis also includes research conducted within protected workrooms, operated by the civic sector organizations and business companies. Its main objective is to determine whether and how the examined employers contribute to development of skills, vocational qualification and motivation of the disabled citizens for a possible moving into the open labor market and the mainstream society.

There is no doubt that civil society organizations play an important role in the regional development. One of the inner factors of the regional development potential and the tool to ensuring the quality and sustainability of the implemented measures is the cooperation and partnership between the civil and public sector entities. The cooperation and parthership should be strenghtened by the inner organization of civil sector into the ubrella organizations and by the provision of their services. In this diploma thesis is realized the quantitative research which is focused on the fact what is the role of regional umbrella organization in the setting of cooperation and partnership with the regional government.

SYSTÉM HODNOCENÍ KVALITY SOCIÁLNÍCH SLUŽEB V OBČANSKÉM A VEŘEJNÉM SEKTORU Abstrakt Cílem diplomové práce je zjištění, jak probíhá hodnocení kvality sociálních služeb v občanském sektoru a veřejné správě, a objasnění průběhu zavádění těchto systémů hodnocení do praxe. V první části práce vymezuji teoretická východiska pro správné pochopení základních pojmů, následná analytická část je postavena na základě srovnávací analýzy mezi vybranými organizacemi občanského sektoru a vybranými úřady veřejné správy, jenž jsou poskytovateli sociálních služeb. THE ROLE OF NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN SUPPLYING SOCIAL SERVICES TO SENIORS

The thesis "The Role of Nonprofit Organizations in Supplying Social Services to Seniors in the Czech Republic" focuses on the role of nonprofit organizations within the system of social services for seniors in the Czech Republic, with the focus on organizations operating in Prague. To answer the main questions of the thesis, it employs the qualitative research methods. The goal of the thesis is to examine the various forms of cooperation within nonprofit organizations and state, as well as local authorities and its organizations. It also aims to find out whether there are any specific roles which nonprofit organizations represent as the suppliers of social services for seniors in the Czech Republic and if so, which ones.
