Family caring for a child with a severe disability

The focus of this bachelor thesis is on families caring for children with severe disabilities. It deals with the severity of disability, also discusses the characteristics of selected disabilities, the meaning of family is defined. Then the thesis deals with the birth of a disabled child and with support for families that are caring for children with disabilities. The practical part focuses on mixed research. The qualitative part uses the interview method and documentation analysis to explore the psychological aspects of two caregiver families. The quantitative part used a questionnaire survey method to provide us with the perspective of professionals working with caregiving families. In the context of the qualitative research, the uniqueness of caregiving families was confirmed and the importance of an individual approach to support them in this challenging life situation. Thanks to quantitative research, we are finding out through experts what is important to effectively support these families while looking at the challenges of the current system.
Teaching Czech Language and Cultural Background Studies at Czech and Slovak School & Community Manchester

This diploma thesis focuses on the Czech language and the Czech cultural background studies teaching in the 5th grade of the Czech division of the Czech and Slovak School & Community Manchester (CSM). Initially, based on the available data, this thesis provides a characterization of the Czech community in the United Kingdom. What follows is a description of the Czech and Slovak School & Community Manchester (CSM) organization, which focuses predominantly on its aims and the form that the Czech language and the Czech cultural background studies teaching of children and adults takes. Subsequently, this thesis provides an analysis of the content of the CSM's School Education Programme and, furthermore, it evaluates the possibility of realizing this programme to the fullest extent within the bounds of the school year. The following parts concentrate on the description of a fifth-grader from the point of view of developmental psychology and the specifics of the CSM students and the teaching of them. The concluding part contains teaching materials created and applied in the 5th grade of CSM by the author of this thesis. Forms of conceit in Daniel Nitschʼs sermons

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of two sermons, selected from the postil Berla královská Jezu Krista (1709), delivered by a Jesuit preacher Daniel Nitsch (1651-1709), mainly from the perspective of its affiliation to the new Art of Eloquence (ars nova eloquentiae). The two analyzed preachments are the sermon delivered on the Septuagesima Sunday and the preaching from the fifth Sunday after Easter. The analysis concentrates primarily on the compositional devices through which the individual sections of the sermons are connected. The aim of this thesis is to present various conceptual components employed by Nitsch in the preachments.
Drinking place for bird

I follow up a large topic in the thesis: a bird. A bird that is living in wildlife. A bird that is appearing in the Protected Area of Třeboňsko. A bird, as a fiery Fénix. A bird that is appearing in a picture of Vincent van Gogh. I have tried to explain historical perceiving of birds in the beginning of the thesis. I have concentrated on birds in general in a second half of the thesis, I have described what kinds of birds return to the Czech Republic after winter and which ones spend winter here. Because my drinking place for birds is placed to our garden that is in the Protected Area of Třeboňsko I have concentrated on other characteristic of this area and of garden biotope. Then I have solved important conditions that the ideal drinking place for birds must meet. In the other half of the thesis, I have devoted to mythic animals inspired by birds and art where birds are holders of a hidden symbol. After that I have made a drinking place for birds from ceramic that is corresponding with all important conditions and I have placed it to exterior. I have chosen our garden.
Jan Werich´s fairy tales in the genre and developmental context of czech fairy tales which are influenced by their authors

This diploma thesis focuses on Werich?s fairy tales. The first section deals with fairy tales which are influenced by their authors against the background of folkloric fairy tale. The second section monitors the development of this type of fairy tale from 1870?s to 1960?s by reason of Fimfárum?s first publication. The third part deals with interpretations of single fairy tales from Fimfárum. On the basis of these interpretations the genre constants and author innovations are studied. The fourth section handles with film version of these fairy tales. The last section introduces Deoduši. This book has been recently published and contains less known texts from Werich which were not collectively published by this time.
