Design and construction of a rolling machine
Salajka, Josef ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to design and construct a machine for bending profiles, which will be then used in home workshop. The work itself discusses the issue of profile forming in mechnichal engineering. Specifically a description of bending, its division and machines comonly used. Furthermore acquaitance with rollinch machines on the market and their manufacturers. According to existing solution found in the catalogs, a custom concept was designed, for which a 3D model and mechanical drawing were made. A prototype of concept was made. The work describes the functionality of the designed machine alongside its demonstration. In the end, the whole bachelor thesis was evaluated from technical and economic point of view.
3D printing production technology
Babušík, Bedřich ; Zemčík, Oskar (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with plastic materials and related terminology. Subsequently the possibilities of machining of plastics are analyzed, both from the perspective of conventional methods and from the view of the modern technologies. Furthermore a research on alternative 3D printing methods was conducted. The processing of individual manufacturing technologies was described in detail. This is followed by a research on the dimensions of common smartphones on the market. The concept design of a smartphone holder to be used in car was created, this includes 3D printing of the prototype by using the FDM method. Last but not least a methodology of testing was created to test the prototype of smartphone holder. In conclusion a technical-economic evaluation and discussion were conducted, mainly focusing on potential future improvements of the smartphone holder.
Layout solution of the machining center producing the shaft component
Göth, Karel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a machining center for a shaft-shaped component. For the design of the machine shop, it is necessary to obtain information from the production process and the drawing. This information, together with the number of pieces produced per year and the standard time for each machining operation, will allow the design to be carried out. In the first step, it is necessary to carry out capacity calculations, which will give us the necessary number of workers, machines, manual workplaces and production and non-production areas. Following this, it is necessary to place the machines on the production area based on the established method of arranging the machines. In addition to the production equipment, various other aspects of the production hall will also be located in this step, such as toilets, changing rooms, foremen's office, workshops, etc. It is necessary to ensure the optimal location of the individual parts of the production with the help of the Sankey diagram, which will allow us to visualize the material flow. The flow of material needs to be solved at multiple levels, namely inter-object transport of material, inter-operational transfers of material, technological operations with material and waste management. At the end, an economic evaluation of the proposed giant will be carried out.
Ultrasonic machining
Vacek, Albert ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This research bachelor thesis deals with the issue of ultrasound machining. The thesis has several main chapters, where the issue of ultrasound, ultrasonic machining, ultrasonic machines and their manufacturers, materials suitable for this technology and the last is a technical-economic evaluation.
Tools for turning technology
Bayer, Martin ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on current turning tools. The first part of the work is a short history, which summarizes the development of turning technology. The next part is a basic analysis of turning technology. The third part deals with the used turning tools, which are divided according to individual turning applications. The fourth part divides the tool materials that are used for the production of turning tools. The last part deals with Industry 4.0 and the expected vision of turning tools.
Finishing of large products on a carousel
Straka, David ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is created a technological process for manufacturing a bearing shield component on a vertical lathe. The thesis deals with selecting the semi-finished product, machines, tools and gauges. The thesis includes a technical-economic evaluation of the proposed production variant, where the costs of material, electricity and tools are calculated.
Wood processing processes and problems of production technology of semi-finished products
Šimo, Samuel ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the optimization of a new production line of the woodprocessing factory DCP Timber. In the first part, the work approaches wood in terms of itsinternal structure and its physical and mechanical properties. The second part is focused on themost common methods of cutting the wood material. The third part describes the technology ofconvection drying of wood and the impact of this drying on the resulting quality of woodensemi-finished products. The practical part of the thesis is the solution to the inefficientproduction of the machine of the circular saw, which is an important part of the production line. There is a comparison of different cutting tools and their effect on dimensional tolerances. Inthe next point, thanks to mathematical models, the parameters of maximum feed speed andpower of the electric motor of the spreading saw are determined. Finally, a technical andeconomic evaluation is developed where the payback period is calculated in the case ofinvestment in a power unit with higher performance.
Abrasive waterjet machining of composite materials
Chromý, Jakub ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with composite materials and the possibilities of processing these materials by machining technologies. The work is divided into several main parts. The first part deals with the analysis of individual types of composite materials. The possibilities of machining composite materials and available technologies of their machining will be explored. Other parts will focus on the application of unconventional abrasive water jet technology to a specific composite material with an experiment on a sample part made of composite material. At the end of the work there will be a technical and economic evaluation of the experiment.
Application of the SinuTrain 4.93 software in milling
Bartuněk, Martin ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Polzer, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design and preparation of the production of a single front mountain bike chainring, using computer software SinuTrain 4.93. The work has several parts. The first part discusses the possibilities of NC programming and measurement. The next part deals with the design of a chainring, material selection and strength analysis. In the third part of the work, the technological conditions of milling are proposed and the machine is chosen. Next step is creation of NC program including inprocess measurement by workpiece probe and design of postprocess measurement by optical system SOL165. Finally, the work outputs obtained in the form of SinuTrain software simulation are evaluated.
Rationalization of machining of shaped surfaces
Šulcová, Eva ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with milling of shaped surfaces. Theoretical part contains informations about methods of machining according to the cutting process, characterizes CNC machine, structure of CNC programs, cutting tools and types of shaped surfaces. In experimental part thesis described two methods of 5 axis machining: continuous machining and 3+2D machining. In this part there are destribed one specific shaped surface, choice of CNC machines and cutting tools, creation of CNC programs in CAM software and subsequent implementation both methods of machining. Results of both methods are summarized in the final section, specifically in the technical and economical evaluation and in the conclusion.
