Obesity its causes and cosequences
Ondráčková, Anna ; Vybíral, Stanislav (advisor) ; Kuda, Ondřej (referee)
Obesity is one of the most common health problems in the Word. Over 500 million adults and over 40 million children are obese. The aim of this work is to summarize findings of causes and consequences of this health problem. Even though in some cases only genetic mutations are responsible for obesity for example mutation in ob gene or Prader-Willi syndrome most cases are caused by lifestyle of people -excessive food intake and insufficient physical activity. There are many health problems accompanying obesity. The most serious problems are metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. The consequences of obesity are, however, not confined only to health. We can also observe the economic consequences. Financial cost of treatment of obesity and related diseases are estimated in billions of dollars. Pharmacological treatment has so far proved to be ineffective. If drugs are effective, the side effects are so severe that their use is not possible. So far, the adipose tissue hormones that regulate food intake provide the best hope.
The immediate effect of Russian electrical stimulation on m. abductor hallucis on postural stability in women with dysfunction of hallux valgus
Ondráčková, Anna ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: The immediate effect of Russian electrical stimulation on m. abductor hallucis on postural stability in women with dysfunction of hallux valgus Objectives: The aim of this diploma theses is to investigate the immediate effect of Russian eletrical stimulation on m. abductor hallucis on postural stability in women with mild or moderate dysfunction of hallux valgus. Methods: This is an experimental pilot study in which 16 women aged 23-28 years participated. The entry criteria for participation in the research were: mild or moderate dysfunction of hallux valgus according to the Manchester scale, angle of hallux valgus ≥ 15ř at least on one lower limb. Probands could not participate in the research if: they completed a rehabilitation program to affect hallux valgus deformity, underwent surgery for hallux valgus deformity, suffered an injury of the lower limbs in the last six months before the start of the research or if they were pregnant. The examination of postural stability took place in the Kinesiology Laboratory of FTVS UK on the NeuroCom SMART EquiTest System posturograph. The following tests were selected: Sensory Organization Test, Motor Control Test, Weight Bearing Squat and Limits of Stability test. Russian stimulation was applied on the abductor hallucis muscle of both lower limbs...
Analysis of Products of Nontemplate Enzymatic Synthesis of DNA Oligonucleotides using Voltammetric Methods
Hermanová, Monika ; Havranová-Vidláková, Pavlína ; Ondráčková, Anna ; Fojta, Miroslav
Nontemplate DNA synthesis is a feature specific for a special type of DNA polymerase, terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT). This enzyme is able. to randomly add nucleotides to a sintde-stranded DNA primer, provided the 3'OH end of the primer is accessible, Here we show that voltammetric analysis based on hanging mercury drop electrode (EPODE) and pyrolytic graphite electrode (PGE) enables to study this nontemplate DNA synthesis.
Clinical profile and outcome of patients assessed and treated in center of spasticity at Department of rehabilitation and sports medicine, University Hospital Motol, in 2013-2017
Ondráčková, Anna ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Kövári, Martina (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to explore the total number of patients that were treated in center of spasticity at Department of rehabilitation and sports medicine University Hospital Motol in 2013-2017 and access their clinical profile. The theoretical part is dedicated to spasticity, to clinical scales that assess spasticity and to therapy of spasticity. The practical part sum up the avarage dosage of botulinum toxin into a muscle, the most common applied muscles and the subjective efect of the therapy. This part also contains two casuistics. All the results are summarized in tables and graphs.
