The conductive method has been modified for hydrodynamic study in trickle bed reactor. Method for RTD measurements in liquid phase (steady state flow) has been developed and tested in glass laboratory scale TBR. The method for evaluation of experimental data was developed and RTD and liquid hold up calculated. The agreement between experiment and calculated results is good.

Transition events in trickle bed reactor under conditions of steady state and pulse regime has been studied experimentally in pilot plant trickle bed reactor at elevated pressures 2 and 5bar and temperatures 20 and 50oC.The hydrodynamics maps have been determined in the form pressure drop dependences for wide range of gas and liquid flow rates.
