Utilization of QR Codes in the Field of Biology and Education
Kršková, Adéla ; Novotný, Petr (advisor) ; Odcházelová, Tereza (referee)
The thesis investigates the possibility of using QR codes in education and in the field activities in the Czech Republic. The second chapter includes an overview of the history of QR codes based on the findings collected from the available sources together with an explanation of technical parameters, introduction of QR code types and possible content which they can carry, and subsequently, there is a practical example of QR code generation and means of its scanning. The third chapter focuses on practical utilization of QR codes, while mentioning the discovered examples of their use in non-educational fields, including the assessment of their meaningfulness, after which the thesis deals with the use of QR codes in education and their educational usefulness with effort to point out the individualization of educational process and means of possible equalization of education for handicapped students. There is an analysis of already tested practical usage of QR codes with comparison of their actual functionality and mere motivating function. In chapter four the QR codes are critically evaluated with regards to their utilization in biology classes. Key words: QR code, education, biology, functionality.
Zoological Preparation Techniques in School Practice
Odcházelová, Tereza ; Mourek, Jan (referee) ; Šíma, Petr (referee)
This thesis consists of description of chosen methods of permanent macroscopic zoological preparations. I verified successfully all the methods in practice and in case of methodological difficulties I optimized them for use in the school environment. In this work I answered the questions that could come up throughout the preparation process, for example: how to preserve the animal correctly; where to acquire the animal legally; what is the best way to maintain the animal's natural colour; what materials to use for the preparation and so on. According to current approaches I created not only a text based version of the manual of all verified preparation methods, but also an online version in form of a web site. To clarify the methods I included video sequences, photographs and schemes. With this e- learning course a teacher will be able to extend the school collection with his own preparations and also will be able to recognize what significant characteristics to point out. As a part of my work I have done a questionnaire focused on using various types of equipment in biology lectures. I have asked primary school teachers and high school teachers from all regions in the Czech Republic. This questionnaire was sent online and 322 out of 1636 people responded. The answers tell us that teachers...

TITLE Apple trees as representatives of utility plants in the menials Rosaceae AUTHOR Markéta Šnorová DEPARTMENT Department of biology and environmental education SUPERVISOR RNDr. Jana Skýbová ABSTRACT Submitted bachelor thesis is devoted to apple trees, as represantatives of menials Rosaceae. At first I introduced some other plants of family Rosaceae. My object was process theme apple tree from wider angle of view. From pollination until salvage and use their fetuses - apples. I have dealt also ecological requirements of appletree, their cultivation, varieties and history of their cultivation. Further I have highlighted importance of apples for humans in terms of nutrition. For the purpose of teaching i have compiled practical works useful in the lessons of botany at elementary school. And grammar school I suggested and laboratories tasks of chemistry and biology. KEY WORDS Apple tree, apple, cultivation, variety, nutrition.

Cannabis sativa - the Plant Used and Abused
Odcházelová, Tereza ; Pavlasová, Lenka (referee) ; Skýbová, Jana (advisor)
Cannabis sativa - the plant which is discussed in all social communities. Some of them hold a brief for it and the others curse it. This is the main reason why I wrote my bachelor work Cannabis sativa - the Plant Used and Abused particulary about this plant. The work informs the readers about the taxonomy and anatomical structure of this plant, we mentioned the history of growing the hemp, and the use and abuse of the plant is summed up according to various authors. Finally, a research at a secondary school of the knowledge of students and their teachers about Cannabis sativa was carried out. The results showed common minor knowledge of the plant itself, and the studens, as well as their teachers, proved wider information of the drug form of this plant. The older studets are better informed than the younger ones, in the case of their teachers this goes conversely and boys have better information than girls. This work should be a useful summary of both positive and negative aspects of Cannabis sativa for all who want to know something more about this plant.
