Influence of the Francis turbine stay vane trailing edge shape on generation of Karman vortex street

In the flow past bluff bodies for a certain range of velocity a periodical vortex shedding emerges which is known as von Kármán vortex street. This phenomenon causes the periodical alteration of pressure field which affects the body. Should the vortex shedding frequency be similar to the body natural frequency, the amplitude of vibration significantly increases which can lead to fatigue cracking. In the case of water turbines, this phenomenon often affects the stay vanes. Both the vortex shedding frequency and the lift force amplitude can be influenced by the modification of the trailing edge geometry. The aim of this thesis is to use CFD computation in order to find the optimal geometry of the stay vane trailing edge for the specific Francis turbine unit.

New approaches to the use of energy of water waves

Bachelor´s thesis deals with topic of utilization the energy of sea waves. Mainly describes existing devices transforming this energy into electricity, their division and on what principle they work. Thesis also contains description of sea waves. In the next part, the author designs and describes his own devices converting sea wave energy into electricity. If there is a similar device that is patented and exists author process a patent search to find out.

Proposal for the Improvement of Marketing Mix in a Company

The submitted master´s thesis deals with the proposal for the improvement of marketing mix in selected company. First part focuses on theoretical knowledge from the domain of marketing and selected analysis. Second part consists of analysis regarding external and internal environment of the chosen company. Final part suggests improvements of the current state of extended marketing mix, including evaluation of the consequences of the proposed solution.

Verification of surface roughness and recommended cutting conditions after milling using tool with inserts

My bachelor’s thesis aims at practical testing inserts. The first part includes a theoretical analysis of problems connected with main tested parts. Especially, there is a description of face milling, surface structure after face milling and wear of the cutting tool. Next, an experiment is designed and performed, describing the machine used, the cutting tool, inserts, cutting conditions, material for testing and basic experiment criteria. In last part results of the test are presented and optimal value for cutting speed.

The Theology of Holiness According to St John Paul II

v anglickém jazyce: The primary focus of this study on the theology of holiness, according to St John Paul II, is to explore how he understands and interprets Christian holiness and what perspective he brings to the subject. The study offers a brief view of the saints he beatified and canonised, followed by insight into the moments of his life and spirituality, exploring, in line with the approach of spiritual theology, the appeal to understand him from within. The study's approach further reflects the theme of holiness from the position of selected texts of the Second Vatican Council. It intentionally takes into account the post-conciliar interpretation of Karol Wojtyła to consider the roots of his theology of holiness. The research of the theology of holiness in John Paul II's magisterium follows within selected encyclicals, especially Redemptor Hominis, Dives in Misericordia, Dominum et Vivificantem, and Redemptoris Missio, to explore aspects and characteristics he emphasised. The basic thesis and the study's golden thread is the approach of Christian holiness described as the union of Jesus Christ with a Christian in the Holy Spirit and the realisation of such union in the Church. The Development and Transformation of the Czech Catholic Lithurgics in the Czech Catholic Literature between (1772) 1852-1962

The thesis presents the portrait of forming, development and forms of Czech liturgics from the standpoint of works written by Czech authors in the Czech lands between 1607-1962. The time range covers the period since writing of the first Czech liturgy handbook through liturgics as an integral part of pastoral theology in the 18th and 19th century, its independence dating to the beginning of the 20th century and further development until the Second Vatican Council. On the basis of (1) bibliography of Czech liturgics, the project introduces (2) developmental tendencies of this discipline. In order to gain a comprehensive portrait of Czech liturgics, (3) educational institutions and the position of liturgics within the curriculum are studied. Liturgics is (4) approached with respect to the wider context of: (a) general ecclesiastic history, (b) Czech ecclesiastical history and (c) an overview of significant translations which gained acceptance in the Czech lands.
