Valuation of the European football clubs

The thesis deals with the valuation of the European football clubs. The main aim of the thesis is to determine the value of the English football club Arsenal FC for the purpose of entering a potential investor to the company. The value of the club refers to the May 31 2012. Valuation is based on data from publicly available sources, mainly information from the annual reports of the club are used. First, the basic valuation terms and methods are explained. Then specifics of football environment and approaches for valuation of sport clubs are discussed. Subsequently, financial and strategic analysis of the company is applied in the process of valuation. The yield method of discounted free cash flow to the firm (FCFF) is applied for the company valuation. Asset methods (book value of property and property valuation on the principle of market prices) and market method (market capitalization) are used as additional methods.

Aim of the master's thesis is conducting complex analysis of a company, which operates multifunctional sport center, and revealing its specifics and evaluating its competitiveness. Company Ski Pec a.s. is analyzed in the master's thesis. Three tasks lead to achieving the aim of the thesis: description of marketing mix and comparison with chosen competitors, identification of strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the company through SWOT analysis, evaluation of financial state of the company through financial analysis and comparison of the main indicators with chosen competitors.

The EU Sport Policy (implication on the Czech Republic)

This thesis analyzes EU Sport Policy and implicates this policy in some aspects on the Czech Republic. Thesis is divided into three main parts -- in the first part there are described theoretical approaches to the sport and the relationship between sport and public diplomacy. In the second part there is an analysis of the EU Sport Policy itself -- its development, the most important documents connected with sport, with an overlap into future. The third, practical, part describes development and specificity of Czech sport, analyzes the problem of financing in Czech sport and shows the connection of european and Czech dimension in sport. The third part also discusses, how could possibly the EU Sport Policy help to the Czech Sport Policy, or how could the Czech traditional sport background help the EU Sport Policy.

Provisions in czech accounting legislative and IFRS

Bachelor thesis compares two views of reporting reserves, where the first sight of the reserves is presented by the Czech legislation, other view is in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards. The thesis initially used in the theoretical part, where it focuses on the essential definition, classification provisions, reason for the creation of provisions, etc. In the provisions according to Czech law provisions are analyzed and their impact on the tax base in the Czech Republic. In the practical part we find examples comparing the most important differences between the two methods.
