Work in Intensive Care and its Impact on Nurse's Lifestyle

This dissertation is concerned with the live style of nurses working at the intensive care units. The work of nurses is demanding both physically and mentally. It is carried out under time pressure and in forced pace. It is demanding for perception and memory, it requires critical thinking, high level of professional knowledge, and also skill and practical proficiency. All these are reflected on the nurse's experience and mental health. And it is physical and mental exhaustion that can be avoided by healthy life style. The aim of the dissertation was to map the life style of nurses working at intensive care units and find out how performing the profession affects the life style of the nurses. The research was concerned with healthy food, suitable relaxation, using addictive substances, and the psychological stress on the nurses. To achieve the aim of this work, a quantitative research investigation by the method of questionnaire was used 178 questionnaires from nurses working at intensive care units were used. The questionnaires were processed by descriptive statistics with graphs and tables. Architecture and Urbanism in Turnov in 1900-1938

RESUMÉ Architektura a urbanismus v Turnově v letech 1900-1938 Autor: Petra Ulbrych Pavienská Zmapováním architektury a urbanismu, v tomto směru dosud opomíjeného města, které vzhledem ke své velikosti dosáhlo značného ekonomického růstu, byl potvrzen individuální charakter regionu s jeho závislostí na přírodních a kulturně historických podmínkách. Na základě širších souvislostí je v práci zmapována veřejná i soukromá turnovská architektura mezi léty 1900-1938 a je sestaven katalog výrazných realizací včetně popisu a případného stylového zařazení. U většiny staveb jsou nastíněny okolnosti jejich vzniku s dobovými reakcemi, což nám napomohlo k pochopení smýšlení a mentality občanů Turnova. V rámci badatelské činnosti jsou rovněž odkryty některé nové skutečnosti, jako například přiřazení nerealizovaných Chocholových plánů k obchodnímu domu Hermana a Palmy. Pohled turnovských stavitelů a architektů na soudobé umělecké dění v centrech české architektury byl vnímavý a citlivý, nestačil ovšem k tomu, aby prostřednictvím jejich tvorby vznikaly pokrokové myšlenky, nebo aby alespoň participovali na aktuálních myšlenkách doby. Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat, popsat a vyhodnotit chování seniorů ve veřejných knihovnách, a to na příkladu Městské knihovny v Praze. Ve vybraných pobočkách této knihovny byl také proveden rozbor statistických ukazatelů a pozorování. - První kapitola se zabývá vymezením pojmu senior a jeho terminologií, krátce je popsán problém stárnutí a stáří, na který navazuje vývoj populace ve světě i v ČR a jeho důsledky. Dále je pojednáno o mezinárodních a národních programech stárnutí a aktivitách v oblasti vzdělávání. Druhá kapitola popisuje služby veřejných knihoven seniorům, informační potřeby seniorů a aktivity knihoven v oblasti stárnutí. Poslední kapitola je věnována představení Městské knihovny v Praze a analýze výsledků dotazníkového šetření a pozorování v jednotlivých pobočkách této instituce. [Autorský abstrakt].

3 Abstract Title of a work: Geographical determinants of sport participation in high school students Objectives of the thesis: Identify and evaluate according with the research at selected schools whether geographical location of residence and school, respectively distance between home and school can determinate where students are held leisure and sports activities, in particular. Method: This is a quantiative research using a questionnaire method. Obtained data were evaluated using statistical methods - the percentage methods and methods of frequencies. Results and conclusions: There was found the impact of the distance between residence and school respectively lenght of time spent in transport to the school which determinates choice of leisure and sports activities for students of secondary school. Informational support of geography

Tématem rigorózní práce je charakteristika informačních zdrojů pro obor geografie. Cílem práce je popis, analýza a hodnocení těchto zdrojů jak českých, tak zahraničních, dále tištěných a elektronických. Úvodem je definován předmět geografie a vysvětlena oborová klasifikace. Hlavní pozornost je věnována v první části specializovaným tištěným bibliografiím a odborným databázím, především GeoRef, GeoBase, GeoWeb a jiným elektronickým informačním zdrojům. Druhá část práce se věnuje speciálním problémům geografických informací jako je názvosloví geografie nebo kartografické dokumenty. Databáze pro výzkum a vývoj mohou být důležitými informační prameny. Institucionální základna oboru, vysoké školy, geografické společnosti bývají klíčovými místy k získávání informací, kontaktů a profesního růstu. Desátá kapitola představuje geografii pro knihovníky a informační pracovníky z hlediska jmenného a věcného popisu. Práci je možné využít pro vzdělávání uživatelů pracujících v oboru geografie, resp. hraničních oborů, studenty i pedagogy, dále pro odborníky, a konečně ve vzdělávacích a informačních institucích. Michaela Švidrnochová Supervisor: RNDr. Eva Novotná, Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Influence of benzoxazinedione derivatives on selected mycobacterial enzymes Tuberculosis is an insidious infectious disease with more and more increasing incidence in certain regions. It is difficult to treat by the available means because of increasing cases of multidrug resistance, which is defined as a resistance of M. tuberculosis at least to two primary antituberculotic drugs - rifampicin and isoniazid. That's why is necessary to search for new substances which interfere with the metabolic pathways of Mycobakterium tuberculosis. Enzyme inhibitions in different levels of these pathways are considered to be a target of the new potencial antituberculotic drugs. In this work, influence of monosulphur and disulphur derivatives of 3-(4-alkylphenyl)-2H- 1,3-benzoxazine-2,4(3H)-dione on enoyl-ACP-reductase, dihydrofolate reductase, isocitrate lyase and FtsZ was tested by thermal shift assay, spectrofotometric method and light scattering. Specifically, it examines the lucrative sale of buildings over long-term lease.

Analysis of preventive programs in selected city

During the life, people encounter hazardous factors which can negatively influence their health. Society tries to avoid these hazardous factors introducing preventive programmes with a wide range of impact. This MA thesis is called "Preventive programmes analysis in a selected town". These programmes were specified to preventive programmes focused on addictive substances with the aim to find out how participants from Jindrichuv Hradec perceive these addiction preventive programmes. The research has revealed that preventive programmes in schools are conducted by various organizations and lecturers. In order to gain the relevant data, the research was focused on evaluation of the last preventive programme carried out in the school. After elaborating the practical part, the strategy of quantitative research was chosen and accomplished by the interrogative method realized by a questionnaire. The research was done in six elementary schools and five high schools in Jindrichuv Hradec. The participants were made up of the 8th and 9th grade elementary-school pupils and the 3rd and 4th grade high-school students. As a research tool, a questionnaire consisting of 12 questions was used. The questions targeted to reveal in which form of the preventive programme the respondents had taken part, which form they preferred, who conducted the programme, and what sort of lecturer they would prefer. Using the semantic differential involving opposite pairs of adjectives on a 7-grade scale, the respondents' attitude towards the content of the preventive programmes was elicited as well as their attitude towards the person conducting the programme. Two research questions were stated: 1) What kind of addiction preventive programmes do the participants in Jindrichuv Hradec prefer? 2) What positive and negative aspects do the preventive programmes contain according to the participants in Jindrichuv Hradec? Regarding the set aim and the research questions of this MA thesis, two hypotheses have been determined. Hypothesis no. 1: "High-school participants, in contrast to elementary-school participants, rather prefer the interactive form of the preventive programme." This hypothesis has been tested by the Khi-Quadrate Test. As a result, a statistically significant relation between the type of school and the interactive programme preference has been revealed. Hypothesis no. 2: "High-school participants perceive preventive programmes rather in a negative way in comparison to elementary-school participants." This hypothesis has been tested by the T-Test. The data concerning the preventive programme's content evaluation and the data concerning the evaluation of the person conducting the programme have been analysed separately. A statistically significant relation between the variables has been discovered by the final result. The results show that the high-school students prefer the form of the interactive preventive programme; however, they have a more negative attitude towards preventive programmes in general. A detailed examination of the results suggests that it is due to their previous knowledge of the information and that they would prefer a lecturer introducing the topic in a new, more amusing way. The elementary-school pupils prefer discussion as a form of preventive programmes. In comparison to the high-school students, they have a more positive attitude towards preventive programmes. Even though the examination of efficiency was not the subject of the research, it has been found out that the elementary-school pupils consider preventive programmes being useful for them. Regarding the lecturer of the programme, both groups of respondents prefer a cured user of addictive substances. This thesis can be used as an inspiration for professionals in various areas education or social care and also for organizations providing addiction preventive programmes.

Reporting of the Selected Firm

This work deals with reporting as a tool for the creation of a comprehensive system of data and indicators testifying about the company's activities in an understandable and user-compact format. Further demonstrated by the practical use of examples and forms of reports to highlight the crucial and often repetitive deficiencies and errors in the use of business information. Based on detailed analyzes are evaluated selected reports and recommendations are defined to make the process of reporting more effective. Selected reports are supplemented by a range of new information that will enhance the management process and therefore lead to savings. These savings are discussed in detail in one of the recommendations of the work on the introduction of CRM IS.
