Title: Change of muscle contraction rate before and after the application of sports massage Objectives: The aim of this work is to find out if sports massage of leg effects the muscle contraction rate of musculus vastus medialis and musculus vastus lateralis. Part of that aim is to compare differences of muscle contraction rate between men and women. Methods: The research was realized in a form of quaziexperiment and 8 probands took part in the research. Results were obtained from the TMG machine in the lab in department of physiology and biochemistry UK FTVS. First of all we measured proband's height and weight, after that we measured muscle contraction of musculus vastus medialis and musculus vastus lateralis on left leg. After the first measurement the proband had a sports massage of left leg. After the massage was the second measurement of muscle contraction of musculus vastus medialis and musculus vastus lateralis. Results: The muscle contraction rate of musculus vastus medialis of all probands before massage was 24,11 ± 1,87 ms and 24,35 ± 1,96 ms after massage, the muscle contraction rate of men before massage was 25,11 ± 1,5 ms and 25,59 ± 1,47 ms after massage, the muscle contraction rate of women before massage was 23,11 ± 1,65 and 23,1 ± 1,55 ms after massage. The muscle contraction rate...

Title: The influence of sports aerobics on posture and muscle balance Aim: The aim of the thesis is to find out how aerobic gymnastics (sport aerobics) at the top level affects selected groups of muscles and posture of girls with more than 10 years of competing experience. The thesis compares the results of a group practicing aerobics with the results of a group of girls of the same age category, who engage in physical activities only during school physical education lessons. Characteristics: The diploma thesis deals with the effect of aerobic gymnastics on good posture. The basis for this thesis was obtained by testing selected shortened and weakend muscle groups. Two groups of girls were compared. The first group consisted of girls representing the Czech Republic at international championships and practicing aerobic gymnastics at the highest level for more than ten years. On the other hand, the second group consisted of subjects, who were engaged in physical activities only in physical education lessons in school. Methods: In the thesis there was used a qualitative research and delibarate selection of subjects. Selected tests evaluated posture according to Matthias according to Haladová, Nechvátalová (1997), with the help of lowered plumb line according to Kopecký (2010) and test exercises for...

Title: Shortened muscle groups in footballers of older school age Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to create and evaluate a compensation programme to relax and stretch selected muscle groups and muscles in footballers of older school age. Methods: The thesis is based on the principles of the quantitative method, where the data were obtained by measuring selected muscle groups in ten trainees. The data were collected and evaluated by input and output measurements using a goniometer and according to a muscle test of Janda (1996). The programme was implemented mostly twice a week, always at the same time in the same place and under the same conditions. The program included five selected exercises. Results: The results point to an improvement with six trainees, each of them showed just one grade in the area of one muscle group. Thus, the results show that the compensation programme was broadly successful, but there were no significant changes. Keywords: football, youth, posture, muscle imbalance, compensation

The thesis will focus on the comparison of the effect of sports aerobics on body posture. In addition, compensatory exercises will be designed to help to eliminate muscle imbalance. The thesis will introduce common exercise aids, which can affect the correct body posture and which can be used in exercises not only for sports aerobics training, but also within the classes of school physical education.
Motor competencies of preschool children
Fleková, Petra ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Name: Motor skills of preschool children Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to determine the difference of motor skills of preschool children among children regularly attending free time courses focused on physical activities, led by experienced lecturers, and children in different kindergartens who do not attend these courses or rarely attend them. Methods: 67 children aged 4-6 years participated in the research. These were 9 children from the municipal kindergarten, 30 children from the village kindergarten and 28 children from the sports agency (club). Children were evaluated once by using the following tests: beep test, 4x5 m run, long jump, ball throw with right and left hand, sit and reach test. Results: The results confirm the assumption that children who participate in physical activity in their free time as well as in the kindergarten have better results than children who do physical education only in kindergarten. At the municipal nursery school, the children at the best level managed only the right- and left-hand throw. Statistically significant differences between groups occurred in the 4 x 5 m run, long jump and beep test, most often in favor of the sports agency. There was a significant difference in disciplines running 4 x 5 m, long jump from place and beep test between village...
