Evaluation of the properties of new types of zwitterionic stationary phases in HILIC
Nováková, Daniela ; Nováková, Lucie (advisor) ; Chocholoušová Havlíková, Lucie (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Daniela Nováková Supervisor: prof. PharmDr. Lucie Nováková, Ph.D. Title of the diploma thesis: Evaluation of properties of new types of zwitterionic stationary phases in HILIC The aim of this thesis was to compare six new zwitterionic Astra ZWIX columns (3 μm, 2,1 x 100 mm) from Chromservis s.r.o. Five groups of compounds were used for the analysis, namely nucleic bases and nucleosides, nicotinic acid derivates, hydrophilic vitamins, beta- blockers, and phenolic acids. These groups of compounds were also analysed on commercially available columns - BEH Z HILIC, SYNCRONIS, OMEGA SUGAR, BEH HILIC and BEH AMIDE (OMEGA SUGAR 3 μm, 2,1 x 100 mm; other columns 1,7 μm, 2,1 x 100 mm). The investigated parameters were retention time, peak resolution, peak symmetry, and peak width at half height. Optimisation to improve peak separation of nucleic bases and nucleosides, hydrophilic vitamins, and beta-blockers was also carried out. The mobile phase gradient was optimized, as well as the column temperature, and mobile phase flow rate. The selectivity of the columns was found not to differ within the batch. The retention time repeatability condition was met for all analytes on all columns, except for...
Co-use of opioid analgesics with alcohol and/or benzodiazepines in patients with chronic non-cancer pain
Nováková, Daniela ; Mravčík, Viktor (advisor) ; Koutská, Kateřina Olga (referee)
Background: The problem of the simultaneous use (co-use) of benzodiazepines (BZD) and/or alcohol in patients with a diagnosis of chronic non-cancer pain (CHNCP) using strong opioid analgesics (OA) is still poorly mapped in the Czech Republic. Aims: To map the prevalence of co-use of BZDs and alcohol among patients with CHNNB taking long-term prescription OA. To determine differences between co-using groups and not-co-using patients and to determine predictors of co-use. Design and setting: The research is based on a secondary analysis of data collected in the period from March 2019 to December 2019 in the form of an anonymous questionnaire survey among patients of nine pain treatment centers in the Czech Republic. For research purposes, clinical and sociodemographic data related to co-use obtained from a semi-structured (anamnestic) questionnaire and data from the standardized questionnaires Screener and Opioid Assessment for Patients with Pain (SOAPP-R), Opioid Risk Tool (ORT) and Emotional Thermometers (ET) were analyzed. Particpants: The sample consisted of 305 respondents older than 18 years with diagnosed chronic pain and treated with strong OA for at least three moths. Measurements: Descriptive analysis was performed using descriptive statistics methods. Mann- Whitney test, chi-square test,...

Cochlear implantation in prelingually deaf children from the perspective of people with hearing loss
Nováková, Daniela ; Hradilová, Tereza (advisor) ; Komorná, Marie (referee)
This diploma thesis takes a look at cochlear implantation in prelingually deaf children from the view of adults with hearing loss. Although most hearing parents would most likely make use of the option to at least partially restore the hearing of their non-hearing child, that may not be the only possible solution for people with hearing loss. The aim of this thesis is to map and to clarify the views and opinions of people with hearing loss on cochlear implantation in prelingually non-hearing children. This thesis highlights the link between cochlear implants and the Deaf culture and community, where the topic of cochlear implantation is often controversial. The theoretical section introduces key topics regarding the aim of this thesis, especially the association between hearing loss and the Deaf community, communication of people with hearing loss, while also introducing basic information about cochlear implantation. In the practical section of the thesis, as part of the qualitative research, the statements of eleven respondents are quoted, which were obtained in the form of semi- structured interviews in Czech Sign Language. Based on the research, the author concludes that individuals with hearing loss appeal to the parents of prelingually deaf children to actively seek out all of the information...

Nováková, Daniela ; Lorenzová, Jitka (advisor) ; Procházka, Miroslav (referee) ; Chudý, Štefan (referee)
The topic of the dissertation thesis is the influence of the primary drug prevention program on the development of specific competencies of pupils and students. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the importance of drug prevention in the context of drug and education policy of the EU and the Czech Republic, drug addiction in children and young people, prevention of substance use from history to the present, school and primary drug prevention and development of pupils and students in the context of school primary prevention. The methods used in this part include theoretical analysis and interpretation of key concepts presented in professional literature. Furthermore, the theoretical part is based on research and other resources, so as to obtain the basis for the focus and design of research. The empirical part presents empirical research with mixed design. The main goal was to find out whether primary drug prevention programs effectively contribute to the development of specific competencies of primary and secondary school pupils and students. The survey is based on methodological triangulation of qualitative and quantitative research techniques and was divided into three phases. In the initial phase of the research, a questionnaire...
Possibilities of using canistherapy in the educational process
Hadžiosmanovičová, Lucie ; Komárková, Tereza (advisor) ; Nováková, Daniela (referee)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to conduct a literature research on the possibilities of using canistherapy in the educational process of children. To show which target groups canistherapy is useful for and what it can help with. In my work I shed light on the terms of canistherapy. I also describe the forms of canistherapy, positioning, children canistherapy, I also mention how canistherapy can be used in geriatrics and various types of disabilities. At the end of the bachelor thesis I present several examples of canistherapy of my own. Key words canistherapy, zootherapy, special education, dog, client, positioning, disability, school institution, practical schools, therapy, child

Children's centre as a freetime activity for parents and their children
Nováčková, Simona ; Nováková, Daniela (advisor) ; Blažková, Veronika (referee)
This paper describes the issue of women on maternity leave from diferent perspectives, such as a woman's position in society, her relationship with a partner, her financial situation, her possition in the work place and the raising of children. We also describe the operation of children's centres in general and the organization and activities of one particular children's centre. The aim of this work is to test the hypothesis that the activities at a specific children's centre can eliminate feelings of social and psychological isolation of mothers on maternity leave. A further aim is to show to what extend the activities of a particular children's centre satisfy the needs of its current users.
