Possibilities of preoperative determination of local extent of prostate cancer

Author analyses results of methods of preoperative local staging of prostate cancer (digital rectal examination -DRE, prostate biopsy, statistical predictive nomograms etc.) Further he analyses results of imaging methods (CT, MRI, ultrasound and all of his modification- Doppler imaging, harmonic imaging, 3D reconstruction contrast enhancement).

Problems of renal tumours in patiens with terminal stadium of renal failure

Objective: Risk of renal carcinoma is minimal 10 x higher in group of patients in terminal stadium of renal failure (end stage kidney disease - ESKD). We have only some information about chromosomal changes in renal tubules, from which rise renal carcinoma, and about pathogenesis of renal carcinoma, which seems to be different from carcinoma in common population. Aim of the study: In clinical part we valorize characteristic signs of renal carcinoma in ESKD by using of statistic methods. In experimental part we can explain pathogenesis of this carcinoma by analysis of selective chromosomal aberations. Material, methods: In 2000 - 2007 were 184 patients with ESKD in care of transplant centre and nephrologic ambulation of Faculty hospital Plze_. In 15 patients we diagnose renal carcinoma. In this group we valorize: age, gender, causation of renal failure and dialysis duration. Age, gender and type of renal carcinoma we confront with carcinoma in common population. In experimental part we valorize numerical aberations in chromosome 7, 17 and Y of tubular epithelium using fluorescent hybridization in situ (FISH). Results: We have 15 patients in average age 55.7 ± 11.5 years, long of during dialyzation was 78 ± 54 months. We do not find dependence between causation of renal failure and genesis of renal...

This bachelor work is focused on utilization of information resources in the kindergarten teacher's work. The theory defines information literacy and information resources, particularly digital resources. Practical part of the work deals with and describes various internet web portals dedicated to the kindergarten teachers and parents of the children. Using the question-form I have been collecting data about the information literacy of the kindergarten teachers and the way they use PCs and the internet in their daily work. Putting pieces together I propose the creation of complex web portal, which would be accessible not only for teachers and students of pre-school pedagogy but also for the parents of the children. Immunohistochemical examination of microvascular density can be an additional prognostic factor in patients with superficial urinary bladder carcinoma, nevertheless, more extensive studies need to be carried out. Maximal microvascular density correlated with a recurrence free interval and in a case of bigger group of patients could be statistically significant. The statistical correlation between MVD and a nuclear p53 accumulation is that significant that we assume the p53 importance in the angiogenesis regulation of superficial urinary bladder carcinoma. The p53 positivity in non-tumor mucosa of urinary bladder in patients with superficial bladder cancer correlates with higher risk of tumor recurrence. According to our results the reason of urinary bladder carcinoma multifocality is genetic instability present in the whole urothelium at the time of tumor diagnosis. The PAX5 gene expression is a frequent finding in superficial transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. From the prognostic point of view, high levels of PAX5 expression seem to be connected with higher recurrence and progression rates. The extent of lamina propria invasion seems to be a clinically relevant prognostic factor for progression of T1 bladder transitional cell carcinoma. The design and testing of teaching aids used to teach gastronomy in secondary vocational schools.

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou výuky předmětů se zaměřením na gastronomii s využitím ICT pomůcek na Středním odborném učilišti v Praze. Na základě dotazníkového šetření jsem zjišťovala stav vybavenosti vybrané školy, středního odborného učiliště, ICT pomůckami. Zjišťovala jsem, které pomůcky jsou na středním odborném učilišti k dispozici, které pedagogičtí pracovníci při výuce využívají a které postrádají. Na základě získaných informací jsem vybrala vhodný námět pro zpracování scénáře a vytvoření pomůcek. Připravené pomůcky, prezentace typu Power Point, jsou určeny všem učitelům předmětů zaměřených na gastronomii. Prezentace jsou dostupné na internetových stránkách školy, které byly navrženy formou rozcestníku. Měl by v konečné podobě sloužit jak pedagogickým pracovníkům, tak i žákům. Vytvořený rozcestník s vybranou prezentací jsem ověřila v praxi na Středním odborném učilišti v Praze.

The Use of Webcasting systems in education

The issues discussed in this thesis are the problematics of making use of web casting systems in education. The aim of this research is the identification and analysis of web casting systems as a contemporary kind of audiovisual or multi-medial directed instructional media. A wide spectrum of properties and characteristics of web casting systems are subject to exploitation with the aim to understand their didactical specifics and possibilities of the functional use within the frame of innovation methods and techniques in education. The results of theoretical and empirical exploitation provide a solution for a model design of a web casting system. By detailing the theory of this specific area of didactical instruments, this thesis attempts to contribute to the development of information and technical education didactics and conscious of the growing importance of technologies for the support of education in the society, of knowledge and pedagogical science generally.

Computer Games in Educaton

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na charakterizování počítačových her, popř. her počítačem podporovaných, s poukázáním na možnost a vhodnost užití pro edukaci za předpokladu vhodného výběru a cíleného použití učitelem. Práce vychází z použité literatury, z vlastní zkušenosti a z rozhovorů a dotazníků tvořených s hráči. Těžištěm práce je hra SDF jako příklad didakticky využitelné hry. Pro tuto hru autor vytvořil několik programů a www rozhraní, které jsou rovněž v práci popsané. Samotné programy jsou práci přiložené na disku CD a dostupné na webové adrese http://kraken.pedf.cuni.cz/~balai2ap/. Cílem je na příkladu hry SDF poukázat na možnosti užití rozsáhlejší hry zaměřené na podporu výuky a na rozvoj žáků v různých předmětech a tématech.

Intelligent Test Procedures Low-Tension Traction Drives with Induction Motors

This dissertation thesis is focused on the problem of the noise measurement and construction of the noise test station what was also interest of my employer - company Kollmorgen,sr.o. This testing station should be located directly in the assembly line with target of the noise motor s identification. On base of these measured values and implemented intelligent testing procedures, we should be able to identify real root cause of the noise The noise of electrical machines is actual issue. There is a big pressure for low-noise driving system construction created by many end-customers. We can achieve these requirements with 100% quality of all parts of current product, implementation of noise testing station and also with design optimization of the current product. Basic testing procedures of induction motors were showed in first part of this work (chapter 4.1.). These procedures are able to provide good picture of the motor condition. For the motor noise measurements was constructed a workplace including noise box with acoustical absorption up to 30dB what allowed the workplace implementation directly into the motor assembly line. Testing techniques and frequency analysis procedures were implemented sequentially with the target of the test evaluation improvement. After the detailed analyze of the motor noise root causes was performed check of the current motor design with respect of the “noiselessness” motor construction principles. As next step was created the motor prototype with optimized construction with target of the motor noise reduction. This optimized motor was tested and compared with standard motor design.
