The Concept of Repair Technology of Earthen Roofs
Trchalík, Jaroslav ; Nevřivová, Lenka (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the technology of redevelopment rehabilitation of the clay roof in the area of the Indian Himalayas. Within the theoretical part is described the history of clay structures in the world to the present. Next part of the thesis describes clay as a building material. Also described is Ladak Country, which is located in the area of the Indian Himalayas, and the reconstruction of the Gonkhang Sanctuary roof in the Buddhist monastýry in the village of Diskit. The partical part is focused on the design of mixtures of individual part sof the roof compositions and the examination of thein kompatibility with the selected foil.
Fireclay Grog with a High Alumina Content
Mezulianík, Tomáš ; Tvrdík,, Lukáš (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
Special refractory grog with increased alumina content are not currently produced in the Czech Republic. The price of these grogs produced abroad is high, so there is an effort to produce grogs using domestic waste fractions of claystones, which have been stored for decades. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the current results and experience with the processing of fine waste parts of claystone W super and BVP. Suitable raw materials for the preparation of grog with an increased content of alumina are characterized. In the experimental part of the thesis is verified the possibility of production of grogs with increased content of Al2O3 according to the proposed prescriptions.
No-Cement Corundum Refractory Castables.
Novobilská, Martina ; Kovář,, Pavel (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of no-cement corundum refractory castables. In the theoretical part, it focuses on NCC refractory and its use, production technology and input raw materials. The second part of the theoretical work deals with MgAl2O4 spinel. The practical part of the thesis then continues in the topic and focuses on cement-free refractory concrete and the influence of MgO content on their properties.
New Possibilities to Reduce Raw Material Costs in the Cordierite Production
Sopko, Marek ; Lang, Karel (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on new possibilities to reduce raw materials costs in production of heat-resistant cordierite ceramics. Cordierite is very often used as furnace wagon lining and for production of blazing utilities for its high resistance against temperature changes. The thesis gives complete overview of cordierite material. It includes description of different production technologies for form-pieces preparation, raw materials for their production and their applications. The goal of performed laboratory measuring in an experimental part was to verify and prove a possibility of reducing raw-material costs in production of cordierite ceramics by using cheaper preferably secondary raw materials.
The Issue of Castable Corrosion.
Novobilská, Martina ; Kovář,, Pavel (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of corrosion of refractory concretes. The theoretical part focuses on the different types of corrosion and their occurrence and form in the various types of incinerators. Methodology of their testing is also described in this part. Refractory concrete resistance against corrosion is closely linked to its composition. Therefore, the practical part of this work focuses on the use of mixtures of aluminum oxides with a hydraulic binder, and subsequently their corrosion tests.
The Effect of Quartz Sand and Feldspar Granulometry on the Sintering of Porcelain Body
Bajer, Tomáš ; Nevřivová, Lenka (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
Properties of quartz and feldspar as two most used fundamental materials for porcelain production have significant effect on final technical properties of the product. Generally, it is considered the finer the materials the better the end product’s properties. The degree, to which particle size distribution influences these properties and the reason why, is summarized in this paper. At the end, practical tests were performed to confirm the gathered information.
Bigots Curve for the Determination of Plastic Body Properties
Suk, Vojtěch ; Nevřivová, Lenka (referee) ; Sokolář, Radomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the use of the Bigot curve as a tool for assessing the performance of plastic ceramic materials. The theoretical thesis is a form of research of available literature. It elaborates a general view on the Bigot curve and possible application properties which derive from it for some specific soil. In the experimental part were determined properties of plastic ceramic material from location Jirčany from which were formed samples made of plastic dough with different moisture content, with the addition of grog and additives. Properties such as shape of Bigot curve, critical moisture value, size of drying shrinkage and drying sensitivity of the soil were monitored on the samples.
Color Changing of the Ceramic brick.
Kocmánek, Tomáš ; Zach, Jiří (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis is focused on color correction of brick body. There are examples of pigments commonly used in various industrial fields, as well as studies on the use of waste products as additives in brickmaking industry, altering, among other things, the color of the brick body. In the experimental part of the thesis the effect of three selected ferric pigments and two selected correction clays on the color and selected physico-mechanical properties of the brick body was investigated.
Mineralizers Using in the Silica Materials Production Process
Maňák, Jan ; Sokolář, Radomír (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
Silica bricks is a refractory material whitch is used mainly in glass furnaces, coke oven bateries and hot blast stoves. Silica bricks constitute of the crystalline phases cristobalite, tridymite, glass phase and unconverted quartz. Content of these phases influences eventual properteis of silica bricks. This thesis deals with influence of the different kind of mineralizers, method of homogenization and length of firing on the content of these phases and eventual properties of silica bricks.
Mineralogical composition of silica brick.
Pospíšil, Dušan ; Kotouček, Miroslav (referee) ; Nevřivová, Lenka (advisor)
This Bachelor´s thesis deals with the mineralogical composition of dense silica bricks. Silica bricks is a siliceous refraktory material that contains up to 99% of silicon dioxide, which is used mainly for the construktion of coke oven batteries, glass furnaces and heaters of blast-furnace wind. The main emphasis in case of silica bricks is put on the content of crystalline phases, which are the residual untransform quartz, tridymite, cristobalit and glass phase. These stages affect the resulting properties of dinas substantially. The main goal of this Bachelor´s thesis is to evaluate the impact of firing on the mineralogical composition of silica bricks and to its dilation at elevated temperatures.
