Profit Potential of International Stock Markets with Risks Consideration

This diploma thesis is engaging in investing on international stock markets and the main objective was to analyze the profit potential with consideration of possible risks. At first I have characterized international stock market and the theory of effective markets. In the second chapter I was focusing on methods that are used for stock valuations. The third chapter is comparing particular investment strategies that proved to be profitable in a long term. The secondary objective of my diploma thesis was recognition of investment risks, thus the fourth chapter is engaging in market and exchange rate risks. The fifth chapter is focusing on the hedging of exchange rate risk. I was applying obtained theoretical knowledge on a case study about BP company. All the results of the analysis were included in the final investment recommendation. The thoughts of the investment recommendation were then generalized into common investment principles.
Java EE applications unit testing

The diploma objectives are to describe software quality model defined in ISO/IEC 9126, to describe the basic concepts of quality assurance and software testing, to identify possible errors when writing tests, introduce designs patterns for writing tests. Further describe the architecture of applications built on the Java EE platform, to introduce frameworks for testing various parts of the applications built on the Java EE platform, to illustrate the creation of unit tests using test doubles for these applications, to evaluate the importance of unit tests for quality assurance software.
The euro after the fall of Lehman Brothers as a suitable or unsuitable future currency for the Czech Republic

This bachelor work engages in the adoption of the euro in the Czech Republic. The objective was, whether the adoption of the euro is advantageous for the Czech Republic. A theoretical ground how a monetary union should function is mentioned in the first chapter. The American financial crisis and its impacts on the real economy are stated in the second chapter for a comprehensive view on the Eurozone crisis. The problems of the Eurozone are analyzed in the following chapter. The fourth chapter summarizes direct and indirect benefits and costs for the membership in a monetary union. The author deals with readiness for the adoption of the euro in the Czech Republic in the fifth chapter. The last chapter consists of the comprehensive reasoning about the adoption of the common European currency in the Czech Republic.
Software quality assurance and Java web applications testing

The main objective of this work contains descriptions of the attributes that determine the quality of the software, a list of techniques that can ensure the quality of the code, and how to achieve code quality with software testing tools, to introduce available automated testing capabilities, to analyze in detail the testing tools Bromine and Selenium, including practical examples of working with these tools, in the end evaluate the benefits work and opportunities to deploy these tools in practice.
