This bachelor thesis focuses on the influence of yoga on the subjectively perceived health status of practitioners. The theoretical part briefly describes the system of yoga, including its history, the most commonly practiced styles and the eight limbs of yoga. In addition, the theoretical part contains a description of the effects of yoga on the organism of healthy individuals, but also its use in various diagnoses. I also focused on the risks of practicing yoga, including various injuries or pain. Furthermore, I briefly described the possibility of using yoga in physiotherapy and the recommendations for practicing yoga from the perspective of a physiotherapist. In the practical part I processed the results of the questionnaire survey. The effect of practicing yoga on health status was described as positive, however, if the approach is correctly chosen and sufficiently individual. If these recommendations are followed and the yoga is practiced under qualified supervision or after proper training, there may be no adverse effects for practitioners.

DIPLOMA THESIS ABSTRACT Name: Bc. Magdalena Vodová Supervisor: Mgr. Klára Novotná, Ph.D. Title: Working Ability of People with Multiple Sclerosis (Options of Occupational Therapy Counseling) Abstract: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease of the central nervous system affecting young people. Reduced ability to work is a serious consequence of MS. Academic literature addresses the negative factors leading to loss of employment. Occupational therapists can provide information and recommendations focusing on the work environment of people with MS through counseling. The aim of this thesis is to propose recommended strategies for people with MS in relation to work integration. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with factors impairing work ability, specific recommendations to influence them and important information stemming from legislation. The practical part verifies the findings based on the analysis of qualitative research among employed persons with MS, which is then further compared with information from the employer. The findings show that fatigue, mobility problems, cognitive impairment, urinary dysfunction and impaired thermoregulation in confrontation with barriers in the working environment affect the ability to work. Methods: Data was obtained using a questionnaire survey. The respondents of both interviewed groups filled in the standardized Godin-Shephard Leisure-Time Physical Activity Questionnaire, complemented by several developing questions concerning mainly the representation of physical activity in their everyday life. The data was obtained from 630 individuals of the GP (individuals without chronic disease) and from 354 patients with MS in the age range of 25-70 years. An online questionnaire was used to obtain data from respondents of the GP. Patients with MS filled in a questionnaire as part of a previously undertaken...
