Eyewitness identification in the light of the case law of the Czech courts
Novák, Matěj ; Dvořák, Marek (advisor) ; Šelleng, Dalibor (referee)
Diploma thesis Eyewitness identification in the light of the case law of the Czech courts Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the traditional criminalistic institute called eyewitness identification, as it is regulated by the Czech legal regulation in Section 104b of the Act No. 141/1961 Coll., Czech Criminal Procedure Code. The diploma thesis is divided into five parts, which are concentrated into three larger units. The first part describes the individual attributes of eyewitness identification, such as the subjects involved in the eyewitness recognition, functions, elements and phases of eyewitness recognition, as well as the definition to other so-called special methods of evidence. The second part compares the Czech legal regulation of eyewitness identification with foreign legal regulations, specifically with Slovak, Italian, Polish and English legal regulation. Within the framework of the comparison it is also points to those provisions in foreign legal regulation which, according to the opinion of the author of the thesis, represent more precise and perfect legal regulation. The third part includes an analysis of the decisions of the Czech courts (both constitutional court and the general courts) concerning eyewitness identification, where these decisions have significantly influenced the Czech...

Novák, Matěj ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Impact of foot and lower limb massage postural stability Objectives: Find out what impact does sport massage of foot and lower limb has on postural stability. Methods: The research was realized in the form of a Crossover design experiment and involved 8 subjects. It was a one-group experiment where all participants were part of both the experimental and control groups. The measurement results were based on comparing the input and outcome measurements, with foot and calf massage being performed on the experimental group of subjects, while the control group was passively resting by lying on their backs. A pressure plate called Footscan was used to obtain the results in the Laboratory of Sports Motorics at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University. Results: In the overall comparison of the results of all measured stances it is possible to see that in the first four stances, without the foam pad, experimental group achieved positive results even by ten percent. Only the results of narrow standing with eyes open (USOO) were negative. There was a deterioration of 21% in delta X and 15% in delta Y. However, these results cannot be considered positive since the control group achieved similar results with the same positive or negative tendencies in almost all evaluated...
The relationship between work values and age in the context of organisational culture
Novák, Matěj ; Mudd, Dana (advisor) ; Podaná, Zuzana (referee)
How to adapt the work environment to people of all ages because of the generally perceived differences in work values is a large topic in the fields of management, psychology and sociology. This bachelor thesis examines whether differences in work values do indeed occur between age groups, and if, what these differences are. In addition to the analysis of the relationship between age and work values itself, the author focuses on the concept of generation as an independent variable, but finds shortcomings when analyzing said variable. The topic is anchored in the context of corporate culture because of the tight correlation with work values. The theoretical part of the thesis, in which the author attempts to summarize the current knowledge in the field of this issue, is supported by secondary data analysis in the practical part, where the author analyzes work values of a borrowed dataset for the purpose of the bachelor thesis. In the bachelor thesis, the relationship between work values and age was established. The relationship with age was found for example for financial evaluation, career advancement, job interestingness, job security and the tendency to change jobs. The thesis also explored the view of managers as people intervening in the running of the corporate culture and how they perceive...
Hodnocení míry znečištění vodních nádrží sinicemi metodami dálkového průzkumu Země
NOVÁK, Matěj
The thesis deals with evaluating the pollution of selected water reservoirs by cyanobacteria and algae using their spectral characteristics. The thesis compares data measured by a spectroradiometer ASD Fieldspec 4 with laboratory-evaluated data collected in situ. Spectral algorithms 709/620 and 709/665 were chosen to evaluate the degree of pollution by cyanobacteria and algae. The values of the spectral algorithms 709/620 and 709/665 showed a close linear relationship with the laboratory-evaluated concentrations of phycocyanin and chlorophyll-a (709/620 with PC and 709/665 with Chl-a) and the regression models achieved considerable accuracy (R2PC = 0.7339; R2Chl-a = 0.7899). In the case of the relationship of the spectral algorithm 709/665 with TP, PP and PN, a close linear dependence was also achieved. And the regression models again achieved considerable accuracy (R2TP = 0.7273, R2PP = 0.7466, R2PN = 0.7491). This indicates that the use of the ASD Fieldspec spectrometer, and thus other DPZ methods using spectral reflectance for evaluation, offers in practice a suitable alternative to evaluating surface water status through laboratory evaluation of samples.

NOVÁK, Matěj
The diploma thesis focuses on analyzing the secondary students successfulness in the solution of tasks designed for Biology olympiad and a subsequent comparison between their results and the results of participants in the regional round of Biology olympiad. Another aim of the work is to analyze students attitudes towards biology as a school subject and to assess if and on which conditions could be Biology olympiad tasks used in school teaching. The introduction includes an overview of knowledge that deals with scientific literacy, teaching tasks and Biology olympiad. The following parts of the thesis describe the methodology, gaining information from 113 students and participants of Biology olympiad from the regional round and an overview of achieved results. These results are graphically illustrated and verbally commented. The final part contains a discussion about the results comparison with others research as well as the conclusion that summarizes the benefits of using tasks designed for Biology olympiad as teaching tasks in teaching.
Acquisition of the right of ownership from a non-entitled person
Novák, Matěj ; Lederer, Vít (advisor) ; Frinta, Ondřej (referee)
Acquisition of the right of ownership from a non-entitled person Abstract This thesis deals with the institute of acquisition of the right of ownership from a non- entitled person [acquisition from a non-entitled person]. It is a way of acquiring the right of ownership which represents an exception to the generally applicable Roman law principle "nemo plus iuris ad alium transferre potest, quam ipse habet" - no one can transfer to another more rights than oneself would have. This exception is rationalised by the fact that the acquirer is bona fide regarding the transferor's authority to transfer the ownership. The institute of acquisition from a non-entitled person is then the result of a conflict of values between the original owner and the bona fide acquirer but depending on other circumstances the resolution of this legal issue may differ from case to case. The thesis is divided into four parts, which are further subdivided into chapters and subchapters. The first part presents the theoretical background of the institute of acquisition from a non-entitled person, as it describes the superordinate terms into which it is usually classified or is part of them respectively. In this part, therefore, the rights in rem and the right of ownership are conceptually defined. This part concludes with an analysis of...
Impact of nape massage on postural stability
Novák, Matěj ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Impact of nape massage on postural stability Objectives: The aim of this work is to find out if sport nape massage has an effect on postural stability. Methods: The research was realized in form of quaziexperiment which was attended by 5 probands. Result of the measurement is consist of comparing the difference of postural stability before and after the nape massage. The results were obtained by Footscan pressure platform in Laboratory of sports motor skills at UK FTVS. At first we measured proband's weight and height, after that we measured postural stability. Then we performed nape massage on proband. And after the massage we measured again the postural stability. Results: In the overall summary of the results of all measured stands, there was an improvement after massage in the parameter TTW (total travelled way) by 6,12 %. This value indicates a slight improvement, but statistically nothing significant happened. The results of lower limbs load ratio were also positive, when after applying nape massage there was improvement by 35,5 %. This means that in our research with five probands, nape massage had a positive effect on level of static postural stability. Keywords: balance, footscan, sport massage, nape area
