Use of HPLC-HRMS for the study of tacrine group compounds potentially useful in the therapy of Alzheimer's disease.
Novák, Martin ; Kučera, Radim (advisor) ; Hroch, Miloš (referee) ; Lísa, Miroslav (referee)
1 Abstract Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis Candidate: Mgr. Martin Novák Supervisor - specialist: doc. Mgr. et Mgr. Rafael Doležal, Ph.D. Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Radim Kučera, Ph.D. Title: Use of HPLC-HRMS for the study of tacrine group compounds potentially useful in the therapy of Alzhemier's disease. High-performance liquid chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry (HPLC-HRMS) is an analytical technique very often used in the new drugs development. This technique is widely used, from the confirmation of the proposed structure and identification of present impurities, through the assessment of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion to the monitoring of poisoning and intoxications. In the theoretical part, the presented dissertation thesis is focused on the basic characteristics of Alzheimer's disease, its currently available treatment and new treatment strategies. In addition, attention is paid to areas closely related to the experimental part, namely: the study of pharmacokinetics, analytical tools for determining pharmacokinetic parameters, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and the specifics of the bioanalytical methods. The experimental work is in the commented form of...

Computation of roots of polynomials using comrade matrices
Novák, Martin ; Tichý, Petr (advisor) ; Papež, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis describes the relationship between the roots of the polynomial and the eigenvalues of the companion matrix, which is formed from the coefficients of the given polynomial. For numerical computing, it can be better to express the polynomial in basis of some orthogonal polynomials. After that, the coefficients can be used to form the comrade matrix. A similar relationship between roots of the polynomial and eigenvalues of the comrade matrix holds. We show that comrade matrices are non-derogatory matrices. The thesis contains numerical experiments programmed in MATLAB. 1
Voice recognition and text conversions using Speech Recognition JS API
NOVÁK, Martin
The point of the bachelor's thesis is to process the issue of voice recognition and voice input using the JavaScript interface SpeechRecognition. This interface is part of the Web Speech API, which allows you to integrate voice data into web applications and contains two components - text-to-speech (SpeechSynthesis) and asynchronous speech recognition (SpeechRecognition). JS API technology allows you to recognize the voice coming into the input, then convert it to text, which can then be used in many ways, such as simply typing as a dictaphone, or invoking other functions using a word command. A very positive and especially current feature is the fact that it is a so-called blind friendly technique, ie technology designed for visually impaired users of web applications in this case. In the theoretical part, the author will focus on the introduction of basic web technologies related to the issue with a focus on JavaScript and especially on the SpeechRecognition API itself and its implementation and incorporation using the aforementioned JavaScript. In the practical part, a web application will be created, which will demonstrate the possibilities, features and advan- tages or disadvantages that this voice recognition technology currently brings.
Proposal to improve the marketing mix of the company
Novák, Martin ; Schüller, David (referee) ; Havíř, David (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis the author deals with the proposal for improvement of the marketing mix of the company KMS s.r.o. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part is devoted to theoretical knowledge in the field of marketing. In the second part, the practical one, the theoretical knowledge is applied and the current state of the company is analysed. The last part shows the author's recommendations and suggestions for improving the marketing mix of the company.
Advection character and timing of climatic seasons
Pekař, Bronislav ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Novák, Martin (referee)
Advection character and timing of climatic seasons Thesis deals with the timing of climatological seasons depending on the temperature and wind direction at 850 hPa level. The theoretical part deals with defining seasons in different ways and climatological processes in Europe. The practical part deals with the verifying of basic hypothesis and the individual steps of the procedure, leading to the timing of climatic seasons depending on the temperature and wind direction. The main method is the method of cumulative series, devised by RNDr. Ivan Sládek, CSc. Western stream over the Bohemia is mainly characterized by cold advection from April 9 to October 21 (advection summer), by warm advection from October 20 to April 9 (advection winter). Eastern stream is mainly characterized by warm advection from April 9 to September 17 and by cold advection from September 17 to April 9. Keywords Advection, circulation processes, climatological seasons, method of cumulative series, timing of climatological seasons.
Generace vířivosti rychlostního pole gradientem entropie
Novák, Martin ; Maršík, František (advisor) ; Grmela, Miroslav (referee)
The master thesis studies the impact of the entropy gradient on the vorticity of ve- locity field, particularly by applying the linear momentum balances. These balances are formulated for Thermo-viscous fluids (later fluids) and Thermo-viscous-elastic ma- terial (later solids) with the other balances (energy, mass, etc.). In order to derive these balances, the Classical continuum mechanics approach is used along with the respec- tive Variational principles. The thesis emphasizes the Variational principles applica- tion representing the modification of the Bateman principle [Bat29] and its comparison with the Classical approach, linked to the L. Crocco work [Cro37], particularly in the case of vorticity generation. It is pointed that by the definition of the dissipative en- tropy sdis a harmony of both approaches can be achieved and that, in the case of an appropriate limit, the direct effect of the entropy gradient on the vorticity of velocity field can be demonstrated. By applying this conclusion the relationship between the change of circulation among a closed curve and released heat on the given geometry is indicated.
