Němec, David ; Žák, Michal (advisor) ; Huszár, Peter (referee)
This thesis aims to validate the microphysics scheme in the numerical weather predic- tion model ALADIN. The first part is focused on the parameterization of hydrometeors and microphysical processes in various microphysics schemes used in current numeri- cal weather prediction models. The microphysics scheme used in ALADIN is discussed in detail, together with its parameterizations associated with the microphysics scheme. The main part of the thesis deals with an improved parameterization of graupel and improvements in the microphysical processes of all precipitating hydrometeors in the microphysics scheme in ALADIN. Alternative approaches to the parameterization of au- toconversion and evaporation are tested. Results are validated using various objective statistical methods and compared with precipitation estimates based on a combination of data from gauges and radars. 1

The Apostles'Creed according to J.M. Lochman and according to Karl Barth
Němec, David ; Štefan, Jan (advisor) ; Macek, Petr (referee)
This bachelor's work The Apostles' Creed according to J. M. Lochman and according to Karl Barth deals with the comparison of commentaries of J. M. Lochman and K. Barth to the Christology of the Apostles' creed. Lochman's book The Faith We Confess. An Ecumenical Dogmatics is used as an initial text that is subsequently compared to the text of three Barth's books: Credo, Das Glaubensbekenntnis der Kirche and Dogmatik im Grundriss. Because of its defined scope, this work deals just with first four chapters of the Christology part of the Creed. In connection with the Creed these chapters has the title "... I believe in Jesus Christ", "... His only Sun, our Lord", "... He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary", "... He suffered under Pontius Pilate". First the context of the appropriate chapters from Lochman's book and relevant comments from the above-mentioned Barth's books are summarized. The main focuses and differences of both authors are described at the end. Barth's books Credo and Das Glaubensbekenntnis der Kirche were Geman issues dated 1948 and 1967, respectively; Lochman's The Faith We Confess and Barth's Dogmatik im Grundriss are Czech translations dated 1996 and 1952, respectively.
Forecasting of lightning using numerical weather prediction model ALADIN
Němec, David ; Žák, Michal (advisor) ; Kyznarová, Hana (referee)
This thesis deals with modelling and forecasting lightning activity using NWP model ALADIN. The first part briefly describes physical processes involved in lightning initia- tion and principles of lightning detection. This part also outlines some basic principles of modelling deep convection and phase changes in ALADIN and continues with descrip- tion of diagnostic scheme for forecasting of lightning activity. The main part describes calibration of the scheme as well as compares forecast with measured data from light- ning detection system LINET. Both time and spatial distributions are considered. This part also contains analysis of scheme behaviour during six days with significant lightning activity over Czechia. 1
Workplace design for rearrangement of parts from pallets to frames
Němec, David ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a workplace design for rearrangement of high-pressure pump heads from pallets to frames at Bosch Diesel s.r.o. in Jihlava. Firstly, the introduction of the company with its products is mentioned and a closer look at the handled head of the high-pressure pump is given afterwards. This is followed by a research of a current market in the field of automation, robotics and industrial safety systems. Furthermore, there is a compiled analysis of the current workplace and the description of type spectrum of individual components. The followings are designs of possible implementation solutions and their description. A multicriteria method is used to select the most suitable variant. For the winning variant, a detailed design concept of the workplace is developed, and this is finally evaluated from a technical and economic point of view.
Semi-Presidentialism in Finland and Iceland
Němec, David ; Štefek, Martin (advisor) ; Drahokoupil, Štěpán (referee)
Diploma thesis attempts to apply an actualized concept of semi-presidential regime of Matthew Shugart on concrete cases of countries where the role of president has weakened over the course of last 30 years (Finland), and where the role of president has conversely grown up (Iceland). Theoretical part of the study presents the thoughts of the main actors of the semi-presidentialism debate and political-systems debate in general from the 1970s till current times. A special regard is being put forward on the conflict between legalist approach of system classifications according to written laws, and behavioralist approach of classifications through the degree of actually exercised power of individual political figures in real time. Practical part of the study follows a long-term evolution of a political system of the two selected Scandinavian republics, whose categorizations have been disputed in the academic literature. Hence a (non)utility of the semi-presidentialism theory is demonstrated exactly on the examples of Finland and Iceland. On the basis of such built-up frame, the author concludes the work by a hypothesis explaining a gradual rise or decline of power of the head of state according to internal and external political factors.
Document Automation as a Risk Minimization Tool

This diploma thesis deals with the issues of risks in document creation processes and the possibilities of their minimization through the implementation of document automation tools. The thesis identifies the motives and goals of three major companies in the Czech Republic which have decided to implement a system for document automation Legito. Using the FMEA method, this thesis demonstrates the influence of document automation in minimizing identified risk incorporated with document creation. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the analysis of expected risks associated with the implementation of the document automation system and its subsequent adoption by end-users. From the obtained information, the author of the thesis formulates a general process of implementing document automation systems, which defines the various aspects necessary for the successful deployment of the document automation system in companies.
Demographic patterns of Vietnamese Population in the Czech Republic
Nemec, David ; Rychtaříková, Jitka (advisor) ; Fialová, Ludmila (referee)
Demographic behaviour of the Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic Abstract The Vietnamese have been living on the Czech territory for many years, even for several generations. Besides the Ukrainians and the Slovaks, the Vietnamese are the third largest group of foreigners in the Czech Republic. Even though the Vietnamese are nowadays an integral and common part of the Czech population, they have not yet received much demographic attention based on national data sources. This diploma thesis is focused on demographic issues of this minority. The thesis also deals with demographic differences between the Czech and Vietnamese population living in the Czech Republic. In addition, the thesis offers selected demographic features through which demographic disparities between the two parts of the population are analysed. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the legislative issues of terms such as: citizenship, nationality and mother tongue, as it is very important to understand and distinguish these terms, especially for the analytical part of the thesis. Each term is defined and described in the introduction, so the differences between terms are explained. However, more attention is paid to the term citizenship, as the analytical part of the thesis is based primarily on this term. In the theoretical...
The Discourse of Central-European Conservative Elites at the Half of the 19th Century
Němec, David ; Květina, Jan (advisor) ; Doubek, Vratislav (referee)
Bachelor thesis attempts to analyse key ideas as well as concrete principles of political conduct of the conservative elites in Central Europe in monitored period of the revolutionary year 1848. The study is primarily focused on comparison of a conservative political thought and therefrom arising strategies of the Czech, Polish and Hungarian representatives, which implies that Central Europe is in this case understood in the context of the so called "heartlands". On the basis of such built-up frame of work, it is possible to mark the effort of demonstrating the existence of a distinctive conservative thought in the Central Europe as a main premise of the scholar's approach. Characteristics that are to be found will then be possible to compare with contemporary classic western conservatism (anglo-saxon and continental).
