The burn-out syndrome and rescue workers

This paper offers a basic insight into the probelmacy of rescuery - using his own expiriences and literature, the author provides elementaric introduction to emergency medicine. He explaines some basic therms and characteristics, using them in the practical part below. At the same time the paper introduces the burn-out syndrome. On this theoretical part concurs a quantitative sociological survey, connecting together the two theoretical themes mentioned above. First, it deals with the incidency of the burn-out at rescue workers in The Czech Republic, second, it investigates choice possible predictors of this phenomenon within the frame of emergency medicine. The survey-part follows also the regional disproportions of emergency medical care in The Czech Republic. Aside from the theoretical introduction to the emergency medical care and the burn-out syndrome problemacy, also interresting findings are to be found here: how the rescuers are afflicted with the burn-out syndrome, what are they mostly frustrated with and last, but not least, how is this connected with the region they work in. Die HIV/AIDS Pandemie ist heutzutage vielleicht die gröste Herausforderung Afrikas. Es ist nicht nur eine einfache Krankheit, die mit medizinischen Mitteln bekämpft werden kann. HIV/AIDS ist ein Entwicklungsproblem, das die Zukunft afrikanischer Gesellschaften gefährdet und deshalb die Anstrengung aller Ministerien, nicht nur des Gesundheitsministeriums erfordert. Der Tod, den AIDS ohne die teure medizinische Betreuung bringt, gefährdet in südafrikanischen Ländern ein Drittel bis ein Fünftel der erwachsenen Bevölkerung. Der HlV-Virus nutzte bei seinem tödlichen Weg durch Afrika deren Krisen der letzten Jahrzehnte, die durch die weltweit grösste Armut und durch gescheiterte Modernisierung charakterisiert sind. In dieser Arbeit befasste ich mich mit den bisher oft übersehenen politischen Aspekten der tödlichsten Epidemie der menschlichen Geschichte. Wie reagierten afrikanische Politiker auf die neue Gefahr? Wie sah das verhalten der internationalen Gemeinschaft aus? Welche politischen Konsequenzen hat der Tod von Millionen Menschen in ihren besten Jahren für die südafrikanischen Gesellschaften und deren Demokratieanstrengungen? Position of Secondary School Graduates on the Czech Labour Market

The thesis concentrates on the critical evaluation of the problematic status that the secondary school graduates hold on the Czech labour market. Their status on the Czech labour market, nowadays, is becoming always more an important issue within the social sphere. Many social institutions, especially those connected with education and employment policy focus on this issue. The thesis is orientated on evaluating various fields closely connected to the fulfilment of secondary school graduted on the labour market. These fields firstly cover the problematics of needs and expectations of the future secondary school graduates, who have not finished their school attendance yet, but are not planning to continue with higher education, instead will start their career on the labour market. Secondly the thesis is focused on the fundamental problems, expectations and requirements related to the unemployed graduates, who are looking for their first jobs and who are registered in the labour offices. Thirdly the work concentrates on presenting a critical evaluation of various possibilities in cooperation between the educational sphere and the labour market sphere, on its current situation and possible development. Comunity of Portuguese Speaking Countries:ideal and reality

This text explores the topic of contemporary relations between lusophone countries, principally at the level of Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (iComunidade dos Paises de Lingua Portuguesa - CPLP), the international intergovernamental organization founded in 1996 by représentants of seven countries which use Portuguese as official language - Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Sao Tome and Principe - with intention to promote a multidimensional cooperation. The project of CPLP tries to get value from the common past of these countries, to which in 2002 added independent East Timor, that goes to the colonial era. Characteristics of this period are also matter of interest of this essay, including the ideological background of the Portuguese presence in the overseas areas and the process of the abrupt decolonization of the Portuguese Empire are also focused in this text. Being the language the most solid tie between these countries, in addition to mutual cultural influences, the Comunity of Portuguese Speaking Countries tries above all to promote a difusion of the common language in the world and within the participating states.
