Differential analysis of online handwriting versus pen and paper handwriting.
Plaček, Ivo ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis presents a basic introduction with the writing and its development, writing disordes, used devices for online writing and their software. It also contains the collected data, which is then analyzed to determine the difference between the tested devices. The main part of the work is devoted to the evaluation of the differences between writing on paper and digitizing tablets, both from the point of view of the differences in individual parameters, and also from the point of view of the influence of the differences in these parameters by the age groups of the respondents and their gender. In the course of the work, a comparison of individual parameters was performed, a T-test was performed between parameters in individual groups created according to the age of the respondents, but also between their genders. Subsequently, a correlation analysis was carried out and, at the end of the work, an evaluation of the results, when differences were found in the speed of writing, its width and the pressure on the pen when writing on individual devices..
Virtual reality as a tool for diagnosis and therapy in medicine
Kadlec, Jiří ; Mekyska, Jiří (referee) ; Mucha, Ján (advisor)
The use of virtual reality (VR) in the diagnosis and treatment of severe neurodegenerative or neurodevelopmental diseases is a potential alternative to standard methods and is now the subject of many studies and research. One of the objectives of the thesis is a detailed research and analysis of this usage. Another objective is to research and analyze the options of developing VR applications. The main objective of the thesis is the design and implementation of VR application for therapy and diagnosis of patients with Parkinson's disease. The application contain an adaptive environment and three designed exercises based on existing methods for diagnosis and therapy of patients with PD. Among other things, the application also allow you to store exercise data (such as position and rotation data of controls etc.). The implementation was done in the Unity engine with C# as a programming language, with an emphasis on patient adaptation and minimizing the development of VR disease.
Mobile application for dysarthria assessment utilising the Test 3F
Grenčík, Dominik ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
Speech dysarthria is a impaired communication ability, a motor disorder affecting basic modal aspects of speech. In the Czech Republic, Test 3F, developed in the current clinical speech therapy, is used in diagnostics in both text and electronic form, consisting of 45 execution tasks. Currently, the trend of using mobile applications is expanding in various areas of life, which speed up and streamline human communication and work. The aim of this work is to create a simple but high-quality and reliable mobile application of Test 3F as a diagnostic tool for the examination of speech dysarthria in an effort to help clinical speech therapy in simplifying the diagnosis of this disorder. Mobile application is programmed using several programming languages: Backend is programmed in PHP using the Laravel framework. Frontend is programmed in JavaScript using the React library and the Material UI component library.
Web application for training and validation of machine learning models
Svoboda, Jan ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Galáž, Zoltán (advisor)
The delegation of resource-intensive operations to the server-side computers is an ongoing trend. Containerized applications serve as an abstraction over the servers and provide needed scalability. The architecture of the implemented application utilized as a platform for an asynchronous execution of training and validation of machine learning models is heavily influenced by the containerization. Individual users of a web application are given a separate container with prepared environment for running a model with selected parameters. Status of the training process is monitored by the application. After the result is obtained the analysis takes place and components providing visualization are rendered in the user interface.
Advanced Parameterisation of Online Handwriting in Writers with Graphomotor Disabilities
Identification Of Parkinson’S Disease Using Acousticanalysis Of Poem Recitation
Mucha, Ján
Parkinson’s disease (PD) is the second most frequent neurodegenerative disorder. It is estimated that 60–90% of PD patients suffer from speech disorder called hypokinetic dysarthria (HD). The goal of this work is to reveal influence of poem recitation on acoustic analysis of speech and propose concept of Parkinson’s disease identification based on this analysis. Classification methods used in this work are Random Forests and Support Vector Machine. The best achieved accuracy of disease identification is 70.66% with 59.25% sensitivity for Random Forests classifier fed mainly with articulation features. These results demonstrate a high potential of research in this area.
Analysing Tool for Generating of Drum Triggers from Downmix Record
Konzal, Jan ; Mucha, Ján (referee) ; Přikryl, Lubor (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a tool for generating drums triggers from a downmix record. The work describes the preprocessing of the input audio signal and methods for the classification of strokes. The drum classification is based on the similarity of the signals in the frequency domain. Principal component analysis (PCA) was used to reduce the number of dimensions and to find the characteristic properties of the input data. The method support vector machine (SVM) was used to classify the data into individual classes representing parts of the drum kit. The software was programmed in Matlab. The classification model was trained on a set of 728 drum samples for seven categories (kick, snare, hi-hat, crash, ride, kick + hi-hat, snare + hi-hat). The success of the system in the classification is 75 %.
