Cross-sector collaboration in Dolnobřežansko region in Praha - Západ district

7 Abstract The diploma thesis analyzes the relations and cooperation between civil, state and market sectors in the suburban region of Dolnobřežansko. The aim of the thesis is to describe the current state of cooperation between civil society organizations and the other two sectors in terms of its forms in a specific territorial unit. A partial goal is to understand how the subjects' motives for cooperation, or the expected benefit from it, are related to the choice of its specific form and how it is then managed for individual forms of cooperation. Forms of cross-sector collaboration and relations in the region are examined and categorized on the basis of two theoretical concepts, or typologies, according to cooperating entities. In the practical part of the thesis, a research investigation is carried out identifying the specific forms of cross-sector collaboration in the region, the motives of individual subjects on the basis of which they choose individual forms, as well as the way of managing mutual relations. Changes in the funding of the Centre for Integration of Foreigners o. p. s. in context of the refugee crisis 2022

This thesis examines the changes in the funding of a selected non-governmental non- profit organization in the context of the refugee crisis in 2022. The emphasis is on understanding the changes in the funding of the organization, focusing on the different areas that provided financial support to the non-profit organization in 2022. Particular emphasis is placed on the changes in the funding of the non-profit organization by market actors. Through the study of annual reports, the external environment of the organization, its influences on the organization, has been mapped, including setting it in the refugee crisis of 2022, the context of which is the starting point for the thesis. The discussion at the end of the thesis provides possible explanations to understand the decision-making processes of the selected NGO in the context of the 2022 refugee crisis with reference to funding. The thesis also outlines the possible potential involvement of increased corporate funding towards NGOs. Commercialization of civil society organizations from the perspective of managers in the field of elderly care in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis focuses on the commercialization of civil society organizations (CSOs), specifically the institutional isomorphism that makes CSOs "business like" as well as the relationship between CSOs and the commercial sector in the context of commercialization. The purpose of this thesis is to gain an understanding of the manager's perspectives representing CSOs in the field of elderly care in the Czech Republic, with a particular emphasis on the institutional isomorphism and the relationships mentioned above. The findings of the study were obtained from narrative and semi-structured interviews with seven selected managers in the field of elderly care in the Czech Republic. The findings indicate that the participants regard the institutional isomorphism (coercive) as unfair and meaningless; patchy and outdated. The examination of the level of relationships between CSOs and the commercial sector resulted in the Relationships Typology. The typology presents three foundations based on need, reputation, and crisis that have been identified as the foundations for developing relationships between CSOs and the commercial sector. Social Movement Black Lives Matter and Female Activism

This thesis deals with the topic of the social movement Black Lives Matter and its perception of women and female activism within the movement. The aim of the thesis is to understand the Black Lives Matter social movement based on the theoretical classification of social movements into two types, new and old, and to determine whether it is even possible to classify the Black Lives Matter movement into only one of these categories. For the purpose of a deeper understanding, the thesis also looks at the connection of Black Lives Matter movement with feminist movement and examines Black Lives Matter's approach towards women and female activism. The research is based on a conceptual framework, which consists of the theory of new social movements with the addition of the typology of political activism and intersectional theory.

Concept of global citizenship and its active dimension through the eye of the Czech absolvents of Erasmus+ programme

This thesis is focused on the description and research of global citizenship in the context of the Erasmus+ program and civil society. The first part describes the theory and debate associated with the concept of global citizenship, including cosmopolitanism, global civil society, active global citizenship, shared European identity and Erasmus generation. The second part consists of qualitative research, which is focused on the question of the influence of studying abroad through the Erasmus+ program on perception and identification with global citizenship. As part of this research, 10 interviews were conducted with Czech graduates of the Erasmus+ program.

Employment of representatives of a selected group of socially disadvantaged persons on the labor market implemented through civil society organizations

This work deals with the employment of representatives of a selected group of socially disadvantaged persons on the labor market, implemented through civil society organizations. The aim of the thesis is to find out how much participation civil society organizations have in supporting people with disabilities with the help of projects within the Employment Operational Program and whether support is evenly distributed in the Czech Republic and how big is a role civil society organizations have in this support. The theoretical part brings knowledge and characteristics of several terms connected with the topic of the diploma thesis. The empirical part is processed in the form of quantitative research with the aim of finding out how many civil society organizations are involved in the implementation of projects, how the given support for persons with disabilities is distributed in the Czech Republic, or to point out places where there is no such organization in the immediate vicinity or where there is no project implemented within the Operational Program Employment. Social theater as a path to active citizenship

The thesis aims to study how civic actors of the theatre of the oppressed and playback theatre actively seek social change. It also examines how these methods differ and what their mechanisms are. The research sample includes 5 actors of theatre of the oppressed and 5 actors of playback theatre. Semi-structured interviews were used as the research method, using open coding as the analysis method. The main finding is that Theatre of the Oppressed functions primarily through the actors' awareness of their own oppression and their search for solutions to social problems through interactions with the audience. Playback theatre also draws primarily on audience interactions, but these are predominantly based on emotional connection and active listening. The difference in methods, then, is that theatre of the oppressed provides actors with reflection on their own experiences and validation from other members of the group; the audience's reactions to the performance and search for a common solution subsequently reinforce efforts for social change. In the case of playback theatre, it is all about understanding the emotions of others and using this connection to create a safe space that allows for community bonding and understanding of differing viewpoints.
